OMG !!!! They were amazing!! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and a huge part of that was thanks to the incredible TEAM who went above and beyond to help make everything run smoothly. I believe the helper's name was Dan, and he assisted with everything from helping set up, helping cleanup, helping transport chairs, even helped with some of the kids. While I was too busy being a bride, my family had nothing but great things to say about him. The bartender whose name I believe was James not only made amazing drinks, but his energy and personality that he brought to the reception was unforgettable. He kept the bar running efficiently, interacted, wonderfully with our guest and had so much fun and excitement to the celebration were received countless compliments from family and friend about both of them and I would honestly love if we could send them a thank you card as well. ****I've been accused of "review bombing" on Google because my review was similar to my husband's review that he left, as we were each other's dates to the wedding. This wedding had over 100 attendees, who I'm sure all had a similar experience. I have the BARMASTERS bar in the background of my photos from the wedding in question if they want a "record," but I don't want to dox anyone. This is my actual experience and BARMASTERS can reach me personally if they want to discuss further. Definitely would not recommend relying on BARMASTERS for mobile bartending needs, especially for a day as important as a wedding. I was a guest at a wedding in Chicopee, Massachusetts this April and was honestly shocked at how poor the service and quality from BARMASTERS was. The two bartenders were late to the event and began serving drinks 20 minutes into cocktail hour. They started pre-pouring some of the bride's signature drinks (cosmos) but it was probably two sips worth instead of the full-sized drinks, so it wasn't very enticing to take one. I also don't think they were actually cosmos, because they didn't really taste like cosmos so I'm unsure they even knew how to make the drink. This was sad as I know the bride was really excited to have this as her signature drink. What really stood out to me was the unprofessionalism of the bartenders demanding tips before service had even been rendered. *I'm not kidding at all* when I say they literally were saying "Tips! Tips! Tips!" every time you ordered a drink and you effectively had to pull out your phone and start tipping them before they'd make you a drink. This happened every time you asked for a drink, which almost defeated the purpose of the open bar when I was expected to pay something for every drink I received throughout the night, even if I had already tipped beforehand. At the end of the night, the bartenders told us there was a lot of alcohol left and asked us if we wanted shots, and so we said yes but then they then proceeded to take a shot with us. I'm not sure if they are allowed to do that, but it seemed very unprofessional given the extremely poor service we had received all night to then watch the bartenders consuming the alcohol meant for the guests. Overall, I would definitely not recommend hiring BARMASTERS for your event. I felt so bad for the bride and groom who threw a backyard wedding and were relying on many vendors to make the party possible in that location, and these bartenders simply did not deliver. You're better off just having guests serve themselves and saving the money. read more

Dana was our bartender. She was punctual, friendly, smiling ear to ear. And she continued to bring me water without me even thinking of it. She didn't even know I was pregnant lol, she just wanted to keep the bride hydrated. When the caterer didn't provide water, she stepped up and started filling cups up at the bar for my guests to grab. Not only was our bartender great, the service was also pretty affordable. Let me start by saying this: Barmasters looks fantastic on the surface. Slick app, fancy links, lots of "we've got you covered" energy. But the moment that deposit went through, it felt like I got handed off to a robot army. Every message after that was so automated it could've planned my party and vacuumed my living room. When I texted to ask something super simple -- how much liquor I should buy for my signature cocktails (which I had already submitted) -- I was sent a generic link about buying alcohol for the entire event. No details. No guidance. Basically, "Here, do the math yourself." I host a big Halloween party every year, so I know my way around hiring bartenders. My old company must've vanished into the void, but Keith, my previous contact, actually talked to me. He helped calculate quantities, answered questions, and made the whole process stress-free. I miss him the way people miss discontinued Starbucks drinks. And to be crystal clear: this review is not about the bartender. She was fantastic and absolutely crushed it. This is about the company's lack of actual human communication and their over-the-top reliance on automation. I was even told one bartender would be arriving, only to have someone completely different show up who mentioned she was contacted just a few hours before. Oh! And side note: for some reason, I was added to their bartender hiring blasts asking if I wanted to bartend future events. WTF. Get it together! Great bartender. Meh customer service. Barmasters, you could be fantastic if someone would just... I don't know... actually talk to your customers. Another side note: The day after my party I got an automated text asking how things went. We hired them in Pittsburgh area for my daughters 150 person wedding. Impossible to get any help from these people! They refer you to the drink calculator for everything and are zero help in getting your drink menu in order. For 12 months of planning I struggled to get any real help at all. Then on the day of my daughter's wedding the bartender phoned me 30 minutes after they should have been there. Saying they were driving around looking for ice! My family members missed my daughter's wedding to set up the bar that I was told the bartender would prep. They finally arrived late and made lousy drinks that tasted terrible. Their bar had been fully stocked by us and they were serving cocktails in 16 ounce beer glasses. I got the impression they had never served a drink before. I paid for a server as well and the server was a no show. I'm waiting to see if I ever get my money back. I think this company is a scam. Stay far away from them. We contracted with Barmasters for our daughter's backyard engagement party (100 guests). We requested 2 bartenders and a helper/server. We decided that we would offer a few signature drinks rather than offer a full bar. We chose 5 drinks (nothing crazy) and relayed that info to Barmasters, asking them to please advise us what goes into these drinks (each bartender may have their own opinions on how to make the best drinks). It took Barmasters a week to respond telling us to consult the alcohol calculator they provided (which was for a full bar) and told me to google the drinks to get the recipes. Honestly one of the main reasons we hired bartenders was to get some help in figuring out these amounts. The day of the event one bartender and the helper (her son) showed up. She said the other bartender wouldn't be coming. She took a look at the drink list and said she didn't know there would be so many drinks (again-there were 5 that I communicated to Barmasters) and just seemed annoyed about the whole thing. To her credit she did really try to keep up with the demand, but the bar line was VERY long the entire evening. By the end of the night she was telling people to pour their own shots!! Honestly, the drinks were not even good. It was very disappointing. Meanwhile, her son, the helper, was asked to clear tables of trash, make sure garbage cans didn't get too full, and keep the 2 gallon jug of water full for the guests to serve themselves (it was a hot day). I don't really know what he did, but I can tell you that every time I looked at that water jug it was empty And I ended up filling it. He did spend lots of time telling many of our guests that his mom experienced a personal tragedy the night before and told us it would be ok to announce it (I think they were looking for a collection of some type). Yet, later on this guy was playing volleyball with the guests and taking videos. If this sob story was true he didn't seem too upset about it. Finally, I received a text from Barmasters a few days later asking how it went. I told them we were very unhappy and listed the above complaints. We received no response to the text. I would definitely NOT recommend hiring Barmasters for your event. We would have been better off to mix up pitchers of drinks and let people serve themselves. Look for a small local company. We purchased our own alcohol and unfortunately we were missing an ingredient for one of our signature drinks (‍). But, Adela quickly made some modifications and made arguably a better tasting cocktail than the original! The communication from barmasters in general was great. From booking to follow up after the event, everything was smooth and easy. They were easy to contact regarding any questions I had leading up to the event. Overall our experience was good. At the beginning it was tough because everything is done online and not enough communication to ensure me that I was not being scammed. But they are not a scam, and the bartenders that came were great, very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable and best thing was they were early. Don't trust them for a big event! We were hosting a party for 40+ people where the bartender was supposed to not only bartend, but bring ice, bar table, cooler, and ice tubs. He was supposed to arrive between 430 and 5pm - I received a text at 3:46pm saying that he was unavailable and can't fulfill the obligation for our event. No replacement was found (because duh, it was a Saturday with 1 hour notice) and there was nobody available to speak on the phone - just a text messaging service on the weekends! I understand that life emergencies can happen but insane to not have a backup plan. Horrible service, almost ruined the party, and cost us more to fix than hiring an overpriced bartender + accompaniments in the first place. 0/10 - do not recommend and BEWARE. read more

Absolutely atrocious service. Booked them for my wedding and requested to contact the hired bartender directly to provide information. They blatantly refused my request, and told me to use their customer service as a middleman communication. The day of my wedding, the bartender had no idea of what to do, never read any of the information provided, and ended up not serving the drinks that I paid lots of money to provide (I had CASES of wine and liquor that they never offered) and was all around incompetent. When I relayed this to their customer service, they responded with "oh well we did send it to the bartender. Sorry about your wedding". Yup, sorry about screwing up your once in a lifetime event and all the hundreds of dollars of alcohol that went to waste because of it.
