The front desk responded quickly to my feedback, but I don't know if it was resolved.

That said, I wouldn't stay at Marriott again after this. They seem to have gone downhill and have no quality control for how they treat guests. Rooms are luck of the draw. The first room was dirty. There was literally a thick layer of "moon dust" all over. So we brought it up with the front desks saying hey, this is a $300/night room. The most expensive hotel in the area. So...they moved us to a room that smelled musty with obvious air conditioner problems. (Knowing we have an infant with us to expose him to mold... perfect, thanks!) We decided it's fine, we will just accept that's the level of service here and stay somewhere else next time. We're honestly not that picky. There are also some missing amenities that are hard to overlook. For example, there are no mini fridges. Instead, the hotel provides what it calls "mini coolers" that can only keep items slightly cool--they're not actual refrigerators. I honestly can't remember the last time I stayed at a $300-per-night hotel without a real mini fridge. Even $40 roadside motels typically provide one. And if anyone thinks I'm not reasonable, it does matter when you have something like formula or breast milk. For a family/child friendly hotel, it's not acceptable. The coffee setup was also disappointing. Every Hilton I've stayed at has included a Keurig with brand name coffee pods. Here, they use inexpensive coffee makers that take up valuable desk space and seem like they'll just end up in a landfill when they're eventually replaced. It feels like an unnecessary cost-cutting measure. When guests are paying premium rates, basic amenities like a refrigerator and a decent coffee maker shouldn't be optional. It's a disappointing experience for Marriott.

We had the king suite (?) and it had a little kitchenette area as well. Also, Nick, up front, was super helpful and kind. Cons - we were on the first floor the 1st two nights of our stay and had a herd of elephants staying above us, so I got very little sleep. I know it's not the hotels fault for their heavy feet, but I would not recommend staying on the first floor! (The 3rd night I asked to get switched to a second floor room and was moved!) Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would visit again!

The next day upon our arrival we had a last minute change of plans, because the room had a very limited direct ocean view and weather was going to be raining the whole time, so a balcony or direct ocean front view was a must. Kim was kind enough that she showed us 3 other alternatives available and offered us a full refund if we didn't like any. The bed wasn't uncomfortable because typically at hotels you have some uncomfortable beds. I love how they had a gym and also the hotel sit right on the beach so you could easily access the beach. If you are looking for somewhere to stay with a nice beach view and the price is reasonable then look no further. You will not be disappointed at all. Hilton has a huge parking lot this is open to the public for $25. The influx of people that would otherwise beach at the Motel 6, was never ending. Suitcase size radios with competing music was exhausting. Pool.. nice that it was heated in March and the splash pad is thoughtful. The actual pool area is small, chairs are tired. A bucket sized "Damprid" left in the TV console and overflowing onto the floor/wet carpet. No coffee cups. Floor with visible trash/business cards from previous guest. Outlets in nightstand and desk so lose/old/cheap they can't hold a plug. All pillows look new but are a cheap/institutional foam core that made restful sleeping impossible. Bath tub missing the drain stopper. Recessed light in bathroom with burnt out bulb and/or broken. At a midweek/off season rate of $115 plus tax. Around $90.00 would be more appropriate for such a dumpy room. Any response from the hotel telling me to contact Hilton directly is a total copout...

The other reason for the four star rating instead of five is the breakfast bar lacked meat, not even a sausage crumb very disappointing.
