This B&N is alway reliable in quietness, good book selection, strong WiFi and good staff. They are the only B&N in the Aurora area and they do a good job! Like any other location, the Starbucks seating section is for anyone and they don't really pressure you to buy anything. However, I got a nice planner from the sales floor and got a coupon for a Free Cookie with purchase of a Starbucks drink. The cafe crowd is just like any other. A range of people come to check out new books and magazines, do some laptop work or meet with other people. Great third space for the community to spend some down time. Plenty of parking and neighboring businesses if you need to stop for food/target/other commercial businesses. One thing is that the Starbucks doesn't have outlets so don't expect to stay a long period of time if you need power! 4 stars because of this because otherwise, it would be an even better place to get work done. read more

This Barnes & Noble is in a great location that includes PetSmart, Target, Michaels, Party City and more. The inside is clean and books are plentiful! This review is about our confusing experience we had while checking out on a Sunday. We brought 2 books to the counter and were offered their book of the month at buy one get one 50% off. All were soft copies. I was alarmed to see our total be almost $90, so asked for a copy. Our cashier had double charged us for 2 of the books. She was kind of annoyed that I was questioning and didn't understand what happened, so I had to count through it with her that we had 4 books but somehow were charged for 6. She then refunded us for the 2 books, and as she handed our receipt over she asked for the 2 books. I had to explain again that there were no books to return as she had incorrectly double charged us. It was overall a long, drawn out and odd experience. Hopefully the next visit is better! read more

Casually dropped by to browse for a new book with no real plan in mind. This was my second time at this location and both times I saw homeless people browsing through the magazines which was very unappealing. Lots of workers around ready to assist if you need the help and the displays were pretty easy to follow. They also have a large "new books" section for both fiction and non fiction which makes it easy to browse. The checkout process was easy - no line and fast friendly service there. I would say just wash your hands after browsing :) read more

I MISS going to bookstores. In this age we've lost so many and sorry but buying online is NOT the same. I needed to buy a Christmas gift for my daughter and I know she adores books so off we went to Barnes and Noble. This one in Aurrora was huge,clean and bright! The best part was the coffee bar area. They serve Starbucks drinks, Cheesecake Factory food and goodies and some tempting goodies...OMG! Heaven.... Let me tell they have a large selection of books. Hey, I'm sorry but I HAVE to touch the book, read a bit and peruse the store before I purchase. Call me old fashioned but I miss the smell of books. Just not the same ordering online. We walked out with more than what I had in mind (original thought was one set of books from one author) and we walked out with much,much more. LOL, we even bought the membership because we WILL be back. Heck, it's worth it for the food and sweets! If you miss the bookstore experience come here. They have free wi-fi too. I was always a Borders fan but recently I gave B&N another chance. I like the selection of books they carry and the ability to order in what they don't carry. I believe this is how they get the random copies of the things they carry. The cafe is very polite and for the most part they know what they are doing. Since they brew and serve Starbucks coffee they hold it to the same standards, but they don't accept the Starbucks gift cards and serve different baked goods. Baked good are from Cheesecake Factory Staff is very helpful! read more

I was in there about 20 minutes ago and the people in front of me were an older couple that were complaining about one of the staff. Because of that, it took longer for me to check out and the person they were complaining about they couldn't even describe. This is your standard B&N: busy, clean and with a friendly hub-bub of customers and employees. The coffee shop employees are especially polite and kind (at least all the ones I've dealt with) and the store is slightly smaller than the behemoth on Colorado Blvd. There isn't as much seating in this store as some of the other B&Ns I've been in. You often have to hunt on a busy weekend or weekday night. Outlets are glaringly lacking in both the coffee shop and the rest of the store making a few hours work on your laptop difficult. But I like that this store is slightly off the beaten path, making it a bit quieter than the larger B&N stores and easier to settle in for an afternoon of book reading and magazine pawing. read more

Came here in November hoping to buy the October issue of the Consumer Report, but was told that they didn't have spaces for it and told me to check their website. I think they should make a room for at least 1 previous issue as there are a lot of the same magazines on the shelves. There aren't that many seats inside the bookstore and there's 1 Starbucks inside. Otherwise, this is just your typical B&N Bookstore. read more

On a Friday early evening, this store was packed. The shelves were stacked, the bargain bins over flowing and best of all, I was asked close to 4 times if I needed assistance. This is my new favorite B&N, when I can't make it to a local store, I will venture here, right after work, and find the latest 5 books I want, and get great service. Even better, when asked where the Play Girl were located, the cashier actually blushed and said the order wasn't in, less service for that..... and this is the only reason for 4 stars. yes. I frequent this book store about once a week. It is usually not too busy and the prices are just slightly high. I think they need a few more lounging chairs so that I can sit and read. The main down fall to this store and frankly this chain, is that there seems to be a lack of book variety. Some subjects seem to have a ton of books and some seem to only have a few. It is not a stocking issue cause they never fill these certain sections. The employees are usually nice, but they do ask you 10 questions when you check out, sign up for this?, are you sure? I love going here just to"look around", but always end up buying a book and other things. I love the way music is stocked for us to pick out. They always have what I want and someone always is asking if I need any help. Great place to but gifts too. I love exploring in this place, there's a lot of varieties to choose from in this store. Granted, the toys can be expensive, but there are a lot of books to explore. This is the place I go to study, but can be a bit noisy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, this store is great. I'd recommend it. read more

Always had a good time at this Barnes and Noble. Very friendly and easy way to relax and why not grab on a good book while warming up some coffee? They have a built in cafe (not sure if it's Starbucks) but the fact that it's accessible, makes it awesome. They have a large collection of calendars, planners, diaries, novelties, action figures, toys etc. The best part is that it's child friendly. They have a kiddie corner filled with toys, puppets, children classical books, and the dollhouse to play with. Barnes and Nobles make it seem as if they can beat a library any day because it's a lot more hip and in with the new. Manga and other Japanese novels are also available if you're into the Japanese culture. Cook books, love stories, games, and collectibles are all found here. read more

Much as our world has turned to e-readers, I still love fondling a good book every now and then. The tactile feel of it, the smell of it, the look of it on my bookshelf. I enjoy meandering up and down the aisles, perusing the deals and seeing what needs to come home with me. The stories nice and clean, the employees helpful, and there's a Starbucks inside. This Barnes and noble has the WORST customer service! They had a whole wall of 50% off "select style" of legos. When I tried to purchase two small boxes apparently they weren't the ones on sale so the sales associate and I went back to the wall and I asked her which ones were the selected Styles she told me she did not know and that I needed to take one of the other boxes up there to see if it was on sale. I told her no I'm not carrying all of these boxes up there to see what's on sale and what is not on sale that is not my job as a customer and that it is her job as an employee of the store or her managers job to Mark which ones are 50% off or which ones aren't! Then the cashier told me I needed to go tell the manager and I told him no he needed to tell the manager! I'm pretty sure I wasn't the first one who tried to buy the legos! Why not just put a 50% off sticker on the ones on sell! So dumb! read more
