It has been quite a while since I've visited a Barnes & Noble, and I wasn't disappointed. There were so many books, so many records on CDs, and so many different topics. There was a stationery section, a kids' area with toys, century items, and more advanced games for adults. Barnes & Noble's value for what you get is unmatched, and the service is always excellent. It is always top-notch. People know where the items are, and they can direct you to the right product when you are unsure, so you are getting what you pay for. read more

The customer service is nice I was looking for a Madoka manga and a nice lady helped me find the manga and then I looked around and found some other books I wanted but didn't get because I wanted to read the Madoka manga first the store is nice overall but I couldn't find 2 books I wanted ( picking daisies on Sundays and better than the movies) but it's ok!:D read more

This is a great location, it isn't as big as other Barnes and nobles but the staff is super friendly and attentive. They also have local authors at the store which I absolutely loved. They have a great book selection and they have a big kid and toy section. This is by far one of the best locations read more

A really nice bookstore has books, good books, and grown-ups and everybody in the store and has a Starbucks so in case you get hungry, you get some food good in there it made me read it a lot because of the nice dictionaries for kids I recommend to go read more

I'm still old fashion and prefer actual books to kindles and such. There's nothing better than the smell of paper. This location is in an older shopping center, but a very busy one. This location was pretty nice and had a good amount of options I enjoy. Service was good and I was on my way fairly quick. read more

Came in to get another book for my collection. First time in a while I had a free morning to myself to just sit and people watch. To just read my book in quiet. To enjoy my Starbucks. To enjoy my Pellegrino. To not hear what was going on around me except all the new music out. I'm a huge music lover. And I mean ALL TYPES. So getting to hear all the new artist or new songs via my paid music app is just very relaxing. It was pretty quiet for the first hour. I guess Thursday is a good day to come in early. Great store, various selection. I love how accommodating this store is for all ages. My only complaint is that staff is not friendly. Cheryll J the cashier is very unpleasant and unwelcoming. Made my friend feel bad for going to her register by accident instead of the person behind us when she did not make it clear who was next. Proceeded to check her out with an attitude and told her to her face she was distracted for not entering her PIN number right away. Love bookstores. Yes, I can order books online at a cheaper price or buy e books or even audio books but there is nothing like sitting down with an actual book in your hands and getting lost in it. There is just something about the the smell of books mixed with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee that I find both calming and entrancing all at once. As soon as you walk in, that unique scent and feeling consumes you. The employees here are very friendly and knowledgeable. As soon as I mention the title of a book, they know exactly where it is without even looking it up. I always use their coupons I receive through email, it saves tons of money considering how much I spend on books. They have this yearly membership program that saves you 10% on books but you have to pay $25.00 dollars a year. I just can't justify that. I doesn't make sense to pay to get a discount. My bookcases are getting pretty hefty and I'm running out of space for new bookcases so I'm trying to cut back on buying books and simply checking them out at the library. Still, walking through a bookstore is for me one of life's simple pleasures. read more

I am SO thrilled that this bookstore survived Covid and the rise in e-books. I absolutely adore bookstores, and this one is great for littles too. We come to Barnes & Nobles quarterly to get books for the girls. Our older tot is starting to read. I thought we would check out another location rather than our local one to see if anything stood out to them different than our usual location. They haven't been moved by anything since last October and I didn't want to buy anything just to buy it. A change of pace did the trick with their displays and award winning kids books. Very happy. Books are like treasures to us and reading has been a part of our healthy routine. They are learning when I read to them and they don't even realize it being so caught up in the story. read more

Nice location. Clean, well lit and inviting. The staff in the cafe are particularly friendly peasant. They have quite the collection of board games. They also have People on the big newsstand rack vs hiding it just at the front register, which is nice. Would happily return to this location for my Barnes and Nobles fix! read more

So disappointed on my last trip I to the bookstore. There was a specific cookbook I wanted. Even though I found the book cheaper on Amazon I was willing to pay the higher price listed on the B & N website. When I went to check out Surprise it was $14 more than the price listed on their website. The cashier told me "yeah-they're cheaper online". Mind you I could have paid for it online and picked it up in store for the cheaper price. What??? Needless to say I didn't buy it and I stead bought it from amazon saving myself $18. Shopping online is not my preferred way to shop but wasting money is worse. read more

A great place to study and have some alone time if needed. I know that it is important to have a place to relax and lose yourself in a book or two while enjoying a cold brew coffee on a Sunday afternoon. Staff is helpful if you need to find a certain book. I love bookstores and do my best to support them. I have never had any issues with Barnes and Noble store before and have always been satisfied with their service. My view has changed after being treated so rudely by one of their workers when I was in the building close to closing. I understand that the building is set to close at 10 pm and I was fully aware of the time but I found it unnecessary to badger me and hover in the area waiting for me to leave. I was using my computer and typing furiously to get my important document sent before closing and a woman kept interrupting me to tell me they were closing and if "I knew what time it was." When she proceeded to stay in the area and stare at us, that was the last straw and I left promptly at 9:55 pm. I myself work at a bookstore and I would NEVER treat anyone as rudely as this person treated me. I felt rushed, uncomfortable, and unwanted after that experience. I don't plan to go back anytime near closing because I don't want this to happen again and I'm not a confrontational person. But if you are a place of business and your sign says clearly open until 10 pm, please don't badger your customers to leave prior to that. It is rude and leaves the customer not wanting to return again. Show us some good customer service and understanding that we are not there to take up your time. We are there for resources whether it be to purchase books, coffee, presents, or to use your WiFi. read more

I will always prefer a bookstore to an EBook. I saddens me to see the loss of bookstores everywhere. However, I'm glad to see a few bookstores still standing, and Barnes and Nobel is one of my favorites. Barnes and Noble has everything I enjoy about bookstores, great selections, friendly and helpful staff, Starbucks with comfortable couches & chairs. There is just something I find peaceful and relaxing about being able to read a book sitting on a chair in the middle of a quiet aisle drinking a caramel macchiato . No real complaints. I love walking into a bookstore with so many worlds and choices waiting to be explored. I love going into Barnes & Noble if for no other reason to get an idea of what is out there. I've primarily been an e-book reader for the last 4-5 years and I find the prices on the digital marketplace to be much more favorable to the consumer. That being said, I do like being able to walk into a bookstore and peruse their library for new books and authors, something I find much easier to do in a bookstore than a digital marketplace. I do occasionally purchase books from there as there are a number of authors that I prefer to own the hardcover version of their work rather than an e-book. You can usually find great deals on a number of interesting titles in their clearance and sale section and they also have a great selection of books for younger children. I love being able to walk in and grab a book and sit on one of their comfy chairs for a while and read a bit of the book to see if I will like it. I've always found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable, usually helping me find a book based off a (usually) vague description I give them! Definitely stop in if you are looking for books, you can also save money in the long run if you purchase a lot of books by joining their rewards club. read more

I come to B&N to write and the atmosphere is so pleasant and peaceful. I just love I it!!! I was speaking to one of the managers and I told her about my book and she invited me to do a book signing once it's done. And I told her that I would hold her to it. And she said that to me...she's going to hold me to it. Just sweet people to be around. I'm been here in Arizona since June and I'm loving it here in Goodyear. I absolutely love coming here. My daughter and i can spend hours sitting in the children's section playing with the trains or reading books and no one disturbs us. I was having problems with my nook a few months ago and after getting no where with the online customer service i decided to come to the store to see if they could help me. The 2 employees that helped me out were so friendly and helpful. After figuring out that my nook had a faulty charging portal they swapped it out for a new one and i was one my way. read more

This bookstore is well stocked with a little bit of everything. They have a nice selection of REALLY NICE looking Journals. Leather, formal, and simple ones too. They also have the blank notebooks for those that like to sketch or draw. Books for DIY Lists and Devotionals. Not a lot of bookends but what they carry is decent and not all the same. They also have accessories for desks and lap rest pillows for books and tablets. They have lots of maps and reference charts and booklets. The children's section is divided... they have a small area go reading, and another area with a small n train set table for toddlers. We ordered a book not in stock and they said that it would arrive in a week. They didn't charge us for it and even advised us that there would be no commitment to purchasing it once it arrived, if we changed or mind. It was there when promised. We have been very pleased with their Customer Service, their staff, and their in-store selection of inventory. They serve Starbucks and have a small selection of pastries from the Cheesecake Factory. read more

Love Barnes & Noble but I absolutely HATE THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!! I avoid shopping at this store because every single time I make a visit I am followed around by the employees to the point where I feel I am being harassed or profiled. I've made it a point to never come in the store with my back pack or my purse so that the staff won't follow me around but nonetheless the racial profiling continues!!! I've never seen any employee badger and ask a customer if they need assistance in the way that they consistently ask me! I have never stolen a thing in my entire life, and I always make a purchase upon leaving. Additionally, I've worked over five years in the retail industry so I know the signs of a potential theft, and simply having black skin isn't one of them!!! The local bookstore. Personally I believe B&N is expensive compared to amazon or other online bookstores. That being said, a local bookstore does have its appeal such as coming in for coffee and reading a magazine, people watching, or just being on the computer; has always brought me lots of enjoyment. Nonetheless, the books, right it is a bookstore, I like the kids section where you can sit and read. I love to come here and buy books with my kids, they love this place and most importantly love books. B&N helps me share my love of books with my kids. Thanks B&N. read more
