The store itself is great -- solid book selection, calm atmosphere, and the café was exactly what I expected. The attendant I spoke with was helpful and friendly, no complaints there. But the men's bathroom? Absolutely unacceptable. The toilet was filthy, and there was actual feces under the seat. That's not a small oversight -- that's a serious sanitation failure. For a place that otherwise feels clean and welcoming, this was a jarring and honestly disgusting experience. I'd still come back because the bookstore and café are worth it, but management needs to take bathroom cleanliness seriously. A quick check every so often would go a long way toward keeping this location up to the standard the rest of the store clearly meets. read more

Tanya is her name amazing custom service is her game! For context I am traveling to meet my girlfriends mother for the first time. A couple weeks ago My girlfriend and I picked out a nice card for her. I accidentally lost it. I had been going to store to store trying to find it when I landed at the One in Nashua. The card selection is great there but I couldn't find it. That is when I asked Tanya if there is anyway she could help me. She does! She starts looking through these bins of cards looking in other places I didn't know they had cards! It was clear that her quest was to help me and it meant a lot. She eventually found it on a rotating card display and I was over come with joy! She was fast, so friendly and just overall made the store a great experience. If she was not the manger she should be! She should also get a PAY RAISE. It is clear she is one of the best employees that store has and it is hard to find workers like that nowadays. Overall Tanya was the savior and has made me want to come back to a store a rarely visit. Corporate if you are reading this please try your best to retain this person she is everything a model employee should be and more. That is all thank you! read more

I like the store a lot. I grew up with "You've Got Mail" and so I always hated big bookstores and I still have to spell out F-O-X if I ever see one. But Amazon has changed all that and I will take a big huge corporate bookstore, that is really lovely inside over a boarded up store or another car dealer. We come here about once a month, get some coffee and a pastry or delicious Blackout Cupcake at the cafe. I try to buy a book or a toy or something too. I know I could get it cheaper at Amazon, but I want this store to stay and I want to support it. I feel like it's become my "Shop Around the Corner" read more

I really don't like that they let people gather to push there own chat group or learning group that u know is using it for there own businesses . I don't mine groups for nonprofits but you know people are over extending this making it very loud and disruptive. And yes the lighting in the parking is terrible read more

My favorite Barnes & Noble. Big and airy with a much better ambiance than borders up the street. And a much bigger and thorough book collection. Their Starbucks isn't an "official" Starbucks which means that they won't take your Starbucks card or any coupons or discounts for Starbucks stores. But, the coffee, dessert and food selections are excellent. The restroom is in the left rear of the store behind magazines. Great for a rainy day or for meeting a friend for a coffee. read more

Good and easy to find location, ample parking, near other great shops. Quite spacious and the people here are pleasant. Its a typical B&N, just newer compared to some of the others in California. Free wifi and room to study, noise volume isn't bad at all, you shouldn't find any unruly people here. Just friendly ones lol... Cafe ladies are cool and laidback. If you need a book just ask and you shall receive. Membership isn't necessary but if you frequent here and enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee/tea and or sweet treat, it's worth it. read more

Barnes and nobles absolutely stinks. My mother has been put on hold 5 times over the past 2 weeks for over an hour each time. My mother purchased a 75$ gift card for my grandparents and when they went to use it it they realized it went to the wrong email. So Barnes n noble re sent the gift card to the new email but it said the card had 0$ on it. After over 5 hours on the phone total they continue to put her on hold and ignore her. They are extremely unhelpful, ignorant, and they can not seem to fix a simple problem. All we are asking is for the 75$ back, as we never got a gift card with our 75$. They continue to say that they will give us our money back and never do. Barnes n nobles has to be one of the most ignorant, selfish, and unhelpful companies we have ever dealt with. I am never buying anything from them ever again. read more

Came here on an impulse buy and the cashier was trying to sell me on this membership thing. Too bad I already have Amazon. They have a wider variety of books and it's usually less than what BnN sells them for. 20$ for a membership to get 10% off books and free shipping, I don't think it's worth it at all. That and the fact that Barnes doesn't price match just sucks. Book selection is nice here though. Too bad it's cheaper elsewhere. read more

I'm glad we got one of the nation's largest book retail chain in our area as well. Barnes & Noble is the best bookstore in my opinion. They have an amazing magazine selection, very good books (new releases always), great little cafe, very clean, has a great kids section. The store is enormous, service is pretty good. I enjoy my morning coffee, favorite books and magazines there. So, if you really need to relax and do enjoy reading, than this the right place for you. The only problem with this place is the bathrooms. They are too dirty. I hope the management will pay more attention to that pretty soon. Overall I love the place, one of my favorites. read more

We find this to be a classy quiet place to stroll around. The only loudness was the giggles of little kids having a good time and I'll never complain about that. The selection continues to follow consumer trends. The pop culture items continue to become more prominent. I didn't see a map of the layout. It would be good retail etiquette to have employees who could leave their stations to help customers find things rather than point in the general compass direction of the item. The prices, yes are much higher than online. At least at this location people who don't live in New Hampshire can buy items without any sales tax. That's the case until the Federal gov. forces NH to collect taxes for other states, as the Fed plans to. The plusses over online purchases are the opportunity to handle an item before buying it and the interesting gift items selection. I didn't know many of the items existed, such as plastic 3D puzzles (like model building, but no glue). B&N remains a nice place to relax or meet with someone. read more

Sad that my favorite bookstore nearby is closing down, but Barnes and Noble is also one of the best when it comes to wonderful ambiance and a huge selection of books and magazines. The staff here has always been very helpful and friendly when it comes to me attempting to find a certain book. The inviting/cozy atmosphere along with the aromatic wasps of coffee and baked goods int he air really makes it a relaxing place. I love grabbing a book and sitting in the cafe reading while sipping on some hot chocolate, or even just to get work done on my laptop. 5 stars! read more

These guys may go out of business and it's not hard to see WHY. Only go for their OCCASIONAL sales. This is why I buy my books on Amazon, it's CHEAPER. At this day and age it is NOT smart to sell pretty much everything at full price, save for a few things on sale. I've always loved B & N. I would frequent this local often when I was in school to do work, papers, research, etc. The fireplace in the center of the cafe gives it a nice little ambiance that you don't typically find, although getting a seat next to it was typically hard during the evenings when I wasn't the only one with the idea to go do work there. This is a great place to lounge around reading and sipping coffee, especially during winter nights... The magazine selection is absolutely fantastic and I'm always surprised at the amount and assortment that they have. Love this store! It always has a huge selection of any genre you could be looking for. The cafe inside provides a nice area to relax and browse magazines or books. I am disappointed at the lack of seating else where in the store. They used to have arm chairs all over the store, but slowly these have all disappeared. I assume it's a chain wide thing, but it's still a let down. They have put a couple back in their magazine section. Overall, it's a great place to just relax with a book. The staff is also really helpful if you need to order something. They make it really convenient and easy to get exactly what you need. read more

Seeing as Barnes & Noble is nearly the only physical location available to by a book, a review is almost senseless. However, I will do one anyway. The location is great. Almost right off Rt. 3, so it's easy to get to. The building is quite deceptive. It appears to be at least two stories chock full of stuff, but it just has a big ceiling. The store is nicely divided into the books, children's books, music & videos, and miscellaneous stuff. So, if you want to browse you can. But if you are on a mission, it is fairly easy to find what you are looking for. read more

Do not purchase any Starbucks drink items. The staff do not know how to make the drinks properly. I ordered a Light Caramel Frappuccino with Whipped Cream. First the order was given to me without the whipped cream and then she took a spoon scooped out some of the Frappuccino and added a very small amount of whipped cream from a can that was sitting out on the counter. Then proceeded to wipe the cup off with a dirty towel as the cup was dripping everywhere. I took one sip and threw it away. Tasted awlful!! I should have asked for my money back, but did not want to make a scene. read more

After looking for a book that was listed as in stock on the website I couldn't find it. I asked a salesperson who said it wasn't in stock, then miraculously found it in stock on their computer. After searching for the book for 5 minutes it was found. Then I stood in line with one person in front of me who had to go through such a process to buy a sack of about 20 books. The line worked up to 8 people while waiting for this one cashier who worked on this one customer for 15 minutes. Finally she was done I get to the register. By now 10 customers were in line behind me. I was first asked to supply my Barnes and noble member number, I replied I don't have one. Then I was told she needs my email for the receipt in order to save paper! I declined that as well. Finally was able to pay for this single book after 20 minutes. This is exactly why online retailers like Amazon are expanding at such a rapid pace, I will never ever go through this ridiculous process ever again. What a hassle! read more

My favorite Barnes and Noble is all that a bookstore café should be. Although not as extensive a selection of books as the Burlington, MA B&N, a much more sociable laid-back hip ambiance. I like this Barnes and Noble because it is one giant floor full of books and TOYS! Some of these stores have 2 levels, which I'm not a big fan of. I like everything on the same floor. What I liked most about this store was it's toy selection! Not a huge area - but about 3-4 short isles of some really nice toys! And several interactive displays set up for the kids to try. Lots of those hand-held things that read books or do some kind of trivia and stuff on a big map. The kids (Age 3 and 5) LOVED them! Couldn't get away from them! I never thought kids liked that stuff but they immediately understood how they worked and really liked them! I got an idea for one of them based on a toy they picked up and really liked - but I didn't buy it here because I checked on my phone and it was like $10 cheaper on amazon! Despite their big advertised Starbucks signs outside and inside they are not a real Starbucks and won't take your Starbucks cards. Starbucks is available elsewhere in the shopping center, not in this bookstore's misleading cafe. read more
