As I turned to leave, I found snoozing away right in front of me - on a worn cardboard box - an adorable, soft, snuggly little cat. I immediately oohed and aahed and asked if was permissible to pet this little bundle of joy. Cammie told me to go ahead and pet away. I asked if it was a boy or girl - and what was their name and age? Turns out - she is a she - a little one year old named "Fable!" Yes, easily removable on a gloss surface, generally. HOWEVER, direct-to-paper pricing stickers are a complete dealbreaker for 1960s-1980s matte paperbacks. Vintage paperbacks from publishers like Ace, DAW, and Ballantine used uncoated covers. Trying to peel them off with alcohol or ever a dryer ruin the book's value and is heartbreaking for lovers of old paperbacks. It's unfortunate.

They have some options from the regular Starbucks menu but can be somewhat limited. For example, they don't have any of the Starbucks refreshers which is one of my favorite drinks to get, especially during the Spring/Summer months. They do offer some of the food items from the regular Starbucks menu like cheese danishes and lemon pound cake. The service is just ok. It's usually hit or miss since every time I've gone I've been helped by someone new. They have seating inside and outside of the cafe if you want to enjoy your drink there. HUGE used book store and well worth the drive!…read more Their trade in process was really straightforward - when you walk in there's a trade in counter where they ask you to put your books into bins. I had one large bag that I sorted between two bins, one for books and the other for single issue comics and DVDs/non-books. About 45 minutes later I got a text that my trade-in was ready. I came back to the same counter after browsing the store and they offered me in-store credit or a lower amount in cash. They also returned the items they didn't want and I had the option to take them with me or leave them as a donation. I think it was a fair deal for what I donated, and I opted for the in-store credit. The store has a great mix of used books, dvds, comics, vinyl, and more that's pretty well organized. I will say there's a fair amount of duplicates of certain titles and it was interesting that some were priced higher than others - so check all the labels! In general the prices were reasonable with a few exceptions - I saw a really worn copy of a new hardback that they were selling for the list price ($35!) even though it had been out long enough that other books sellers were discounting it already. But then I also got a box set of dvds for $10 and a bunch of kids books for $0.50-2.00. It was easy to spend that in-store credit!

Currently this game goes for $3.67 on pricecharting, heck when it game out in 2008 its peak was only a measly $5. Multiple gbc/gba shovelware games all overmarket, by around 10 dollars as well. In general the amount of 3-5 dollar games that they are trying to pass off as 15 - 20 dollar games is dis gracefully disgusting. The point of traveling to these stores are to get the good deals. All of the inventory they have are traded in for or donated so it makes NO sense! It seems that the employees make guesses when it comes to prices, that or they are being told to overprice by upper management. By the gaming section there was a sign that claimed that all of the consoles and equipment is tested beforehand by "gamers with over 30 years of experience" whatever that means. I got an Xbox One Kinect from them back in December, and worked normally. A couple days later I wanted to try using its mic functionality, was not functioning. So it was never fully tested by "gamers with over 30 years of experience" lol. The worst part is that they give you a 3 day warranty... it's not like people have kids, jobs, or other commitments I guess. The media (dvds and blu rays) were also overpriced per usual. Usually only by 5-10 bucks. My main discrepancy today was that I saw multiple dvds and blu rays with dirt and filth smattered on the covers. Your telling me that they have the audacity to up charge, and still refuse to even spend 10 seconds wiping the cover with a lysol wipe? Is it that hard to do? Disgusting! I can't speak on their book pricing as I am not well versed but pretty much everything else is overpriced in this store. It really sucks because these type of stores are supposed to be for lower income families who can't buy new. And instead is being treated like a greedy gaming convention booth. I genuinely feel bad for kids nowadays who want to start growing a small gaming collection post pandemic. With greedy "thrift" stores like this, even the shovel ware games are off-limits.

It was a bit overwhelming but I loved getting lost in the stacks and discovering the new ways the employees organized the shelves! They have a newish titles section in the front, as well as fun collectable items throughout the store. One thing to note, however, is they have a LOT of religious and confederacy books. We had only intended a brief visit, to sip a drink, browse a few books and mostly remained together, a small family wandering among your shelves. (max visit time 15 minutes) Yet one of your employees, your assistant who passed by our son while he was momentarily alone, muttered under his breath, not once but twice, that the face covering must come off. He did not stop. He did not speak directly. He did not address us, the parents. There was no "excuse me," no polite guidance. ONLY muttered judgment. It was a small thing, but in it was a certainty: our son, a minor, had been profiled and treated disrespectfully. When our son brought this to our attention, we were at the café. The same employee continued from a distance, his tone sharp, dismissive, cocky even, claiming he had "told him twice" to remove it. Told him? Excuse me, are you his guardian? And then he declared that wearing a mask to hide your identity in any store is a felony in Virginia. That, by any measure, is inaccurate. The law requires proof of intent of wanting concealing one's identity. Something our son (Wearing ALL his motorcycle GEAR without helmet), calmly browsing with his parents, was clearly not doing. The entire encounter...the indirect comments, the lack of professionalism, the misapplied law, was wholly inappropriate for a minor accompanied by his parents. Staff may be reminded that customers even minors, deserve respect, clarity, and honesty. A little courtesy goes a long way. The statement regarding Virginia law was, quite simply, wrong. It was tossed out as if this law were a blanket statement "felony to wear a mask in a store." In truth, the law is far more subtle, far more sensible than that. It speaks of intent, of committing theft, assault, or some other misdeed while hiding one's face. Simply wearing a mask, with your parents by your side, wandering among books, or shielding yourself against the wind, does not, and never could, meet that standard. And even a store policy, no matter how strict, cannot turn an innocent action into a crime, nor justify rudeness, muttered commands, or the singling out of a child. To claim otherwise is to misunderstand the law entirely. In Virginia, there is no sweeping law that declares wearing a mask in a store a felony. Laws about concealing one's identity do exist, yes, but they are narrow, precise, and bound by circumstance.
