Good Barnes & Noble location and store. If you know Barnes & Noble, then you already know what to expect with layout and the like. While I do tend to buy books of course, I usually always pay the movie section a visit. Physical media of any kind is always good (and important) and I do collect movies like a fiend. For movies, this one has a pretty generous area and selection. Any staff I encountered were friendly, which includes both times I went to the register. This B&N shares the land with other businesses, but parking is ample. I'm glad B&N has held on. read more

I actually like this joint for a bookstore, far better than Amazon, the staff are always nice and they have quite of a selection to choose from. But I find it weird that every single time I leave this store- I feel fatigue, dizzy and not well. It's only when I visit this Barnes and noble for an hour (I like staring at books) but without a doubt, I just feel fatigue to the point I always have to drive home. I don't know if it's just me about the fatigue/dizzy/unwell part. Maybe there is mold or maybe something in their carpet? I am not sure. On Monday, July 15, I was enjoying refreshments in the Moorestown, NJ East Gate Square B&N Cafe.  A woman came in with a large dog & sat at one of the cafe tables.  In a few minutes, another woman came in with another large dog & sat with her.  That dog started to bark until the owner quieted him.  Neither woman appeared to have any type of disability.  The employee at the counter paid no attention to them.  I left soon after as I felt the situation was unusual & likely unsanitary.  I don't intend to return although it was one of my favorite spots for a quick coffee and a read.  Is this standard procedure at Barnes & Noble cafes? read more

This store is located in that strange place on Nixon Drive that is at the same time Moorestown & Maple Shade depending on what side of the street you are on and what day of the wee it is. I get my car serviced in this plaza and find myself here killing time. As I drink my large Starbucks Coffee from the only busy part of the store - the café - I'm actually a little sad at the state of book stores in the United States. As a whole, we don't read anymore. This store is huge; isles upon isles of books, hardcover bargain books for $10.98, paperbacks for $4.98, all calendars 50% off, dvds & blueray 30% off. Stores like this are warehouses of a bygone era. People don't buy books anymore, the nook, Kindle & iPad saw to that. Who still uses a wall calendar? Does anyone honestly buy CDs & DVDs anymore or do you just download it from iTunes, Comcast or FiOS? As I sit here typing this review into my phone, I can't help but wonder what their overhead looks like and how much longer they will be able to keep stores like this open. For the time being, they are here, playing a soft mix of easy listening tunes over their speaker system. The store is warm and the coffee is hot & delicious. They have restrooms and plenty of magazines and newspapers if books aren't your thing and you will find me in the art or yoga section as soon as I finish this review. read more

I go in here often to shop for books or to just hang out and get a cup of coffee. I really like the quiet atmosphere and selection of books they have. Yes sometimes I do have to go online to order books from their website that they don't have in the store. All in all though I love Barnes and Noble. By the way their homemade cookies at the Starbucks are to die for. read more

It's actually a pain in the ass to buy things. There are very obvious help desks, yet if someone walks up to the cashier and wants help, they have no problem leaving the rest of the line standing there while they help said doucheknuckle. We waited for almost 10 minutes until another manager ran out and rang us up. On a slow Tuesday night? Unacceptable. read more

Found a book I wanted on the Barnes & Noble's website. It was on sale! Went to see if it was available locally, and if I want to buy it at the store, I have to pay full price! I called the store to double check, and yes indeed, full price at the store. Lots of stores will match online pricing, and I have never, ever seen a store that won't honor their own website's prices. I don't see the logic. Especially since walking into a retail store has the potential of impulse purchases and browsing. I can match the sales price using other sites, and if I have to wait for something to ship to me, as opposed to driving around the corner to pick it up today, I will take my business elsewhere. You have an utterly ridiculous policy here, and you should considering changing it. read more

I'm a little Bias when comes to Barnes, prefer this location, since one of my friend's work here PT. Like the lay out, cafe in middle-starbucks!! The staff is pretty helpful, nice location, next to Don Pablo's & Loehman's. They are open late, so , sometimes we browse there, end up buying some mags or books. In the back , right, have music & movies, nice assortment for Barnes!! Who knew??! But its great.Hope they stay open, technology , age of digital book, paperbacks will no longer exist..Hope not!! read more

Absolutely love this location. I never used to go here much before, but now since I'm in my senior year of high school I find myself buying books for school or for pleasure and coming to the cafe to get a coffee and do my homework. The employees are very friendly and helpful, the coffee is delicious, and there's plenty of seating areas and little nooks and crannies to hide away in. The book selection is always rotating and I can always find what I want or need. The only downside I can seem to ever find here is that since it's the only large bookstore in town, it can get pretty busy, especially in the late afternoon and evenings; so, that can cause the staff to get a little overwhelmed and make wait times longer for buying books, needing help finding a book, or for Starbucks. I noticed some people complaining about the staff being unhelpful, but the only time I have ever found that to be remotely true is when it is very busy and they are understaffed. Also, I'd like to point out that the "book locators" in some other locations are an extreme luxury, and the lack of them is the least of everyone's problems; this is a smaller location, for a small town, and they rely on their amicable staff and loyal customers (also, the books are literally sorted by genre and age range, it's not that big of a store, it's not difficult to find the book you're looking for if staff is preoccupied). Also, I greatly enjoy the special tables and racks interspersed throughout the store with new books, music, or movies on display every time I go. The music section is a little limited, but as I stated before, it is a smaller store and the CDs and vinyls being limited are understandable. This is a great place to sit and read, do homework, drink coffee, and relax, all the while getting positive social interactions with other patrons and the staff. -Thanks! read more

While not as nice as the one down at Garden State Park, this place still has a great selection and very helpful staff. I was able to find some textbooks I needed and some eclectic magazines I've been looking for, as well as some Crane & Co stationary. I still purchase the majority of my stuff online, but am never unhappy to wander through this place. read more

The rating is more for the Starbucks within the Barnes and Noble! If you enjoy stale pastries and rude customer service by all means this is your place. However if you'd like pleasant customer service and warm pastries that are fresh drive the extra 5 minutes and go to the actual Starbucks! read more

I will preface by saying, I'm not a huge Barnes and Nobles person, but when I do go it's to the Garden State/Cherry Hill location. I happened to be at Moorestown Mall and literally drove right to this location so I stopped in with 3 books in mind. I walk in and first thing I notice is it's kind of loud, now I don't expect it to be like a library but I was kind of taken back by the noise level, then I realize it's because it's not a large location and they have a huge circular cafe in the center, which actually seems like a decent chill spot. So I begin to walk around trying to locate a "electronic book finder" but I couldn't find one, there were a few openings with computers but they seemed that they should have been staffed and weren't. Actually I couldn't find any staff.. So I walked into the music section because I saw a lady on the "book finder" while she said hello she didn't ask if I needed anything as I stood behind her for 3-5mins waiting my turn so I figured she was a fellow patron until I realized it said on the side of the machine employees only... So I said is there another machine where I can look up books she offers her help, I tell her my 3 books 1 by one. 1st book- Out of stock 2nd book- In stock but only the hardcover collectors item which is twice as much as the regular and the same price as the collection set which they were also out of stock 3rd book- out of stock. Seriously, what was the point of my coming in here I could have been to the CH location in the time I waited behind the employee who didn't notice my standing behind her although I was having a full on conversation with my daughter about how we would look up the books on the computer... Smh, unless you're stopping in for the cafe save your time, they probably don't have the book anyway. read more
