While I like the…read moreidea of supporting a local business instead of a chain, B&N still feels better than an Amazon. When you walk in, you get a good feeling based on the store layout. There's adequate selection and recommendations throughout, as well as sections to browse in and plenty to catch your eye. The departments aren't super distinguished from each other which likely helps to maximize the number of products displayed. The cafe has quite a bit of seating so it's a good place to hang out. I like to look at BN sale sections but this one was rather limited.

We started off walking around together, but split off and got lost walking through the store and checking it all out. The space is massive and has high ceilings. Plus, it's very bright and light inside. All the sections are organized and feature good visual merchandising of new arrivals and/or books on sale. There's a nice cafe area towards the back with ample tables and seating at the back left of the store. Throughout the store, there are also lots of comfortable chairs to sit on if you find interesting reading material that you want to preview or flip through. My husband said it best when he said, "Wow, there's so much to find - you could never get bored here!" I know that we will be back.

Irv showed me at least 20 of these albums and he allowed me to remove from their sleeves to inspect. This was after he gained confidence that I knew how to handle records and would treat them with care. He told me that I was not allowed to mix and match records and sleeves and album covers. This is understandable from my experience, even if it's not what would benefit me the most. I found what I wanted however, and his $20 price for a double album is quite fair. If you are looking for something in particular you will find it here most likely. Enjoy the search!

In all my years of being a vinyl enthusiast I have never seen the game played so badly. This place is a mess with everything stacked horizontally in a shambolic moldy hoarder disarray. Nothing in this hovel except the aforementioned "5 dollar" stock [read - sub dollar bin garbage) is actually priced, so If you somehow miraculously find something - an LP/DVD/Cassette etc the owner will look it up and charge you listed [not sold/completed] eBay prices. I don't even think the owner knows how to actually use discogs or ebay for that matter. If you are serious about records do not waste your time or money here this place is a joke. There's SO MANY other amazing well curated organized and customer friendly spots to patronize within a 30-45 minute drive. I highly suggest you go to Human Head or A1 and get blown away by the selection and prices on offer, not to mention amazing warm customer service. PS he must be bribing the local fire department because this place is the meaning of FIRE HAZARD. tata

I felt these prices were far above market value for used copies in the condition they were in. When I politely asked if there was any flexibility, I was told the employee had other work to do and eventually he refused to sell me anything. The store has an interesting inventory, but it's very disorganized, and unfortunately the customer service made the experience very unpleasant. I won't be returning.

Found the store without a problem but parking is ridiculous. Not the stores fault. Upon entering the store you have to be amazed at the sheer volume of merchandise. Stacks and stacks of dvds and records. One small area is semi organized otherwise good luck. Count Basie mixed in with NY Dolls with Stevie Wonder behind Roy Acuff. Good luck. Spent about an hour going through the rows and found a few albums that I don't have. Nice! Some albums were priced, most aren't. When I asked the owner he said just give them to me and I'll work up a price. Not the way I like buying a bunch of records but I gave him about 8 or 9 to see where they were in pricing. (The priced albums were about what you'd expect to see). He then prices them based off of eBays listings. Not even sold listings but what people are asking. Albums that should be in the 3-5.00 range 15. Others that should be in the 8-10.00 range 25. Nope. I asked for the stack back and started putting them back where I found them. He realizes what I'm doing and wants to play lets make a deal. Instead of 25 for that, how about 20? How about 18? Sorry. I don't mind spending money, but I don't play this kind of stupid game at a register. I left empty handed. Do not see myself going back.
