It's one of our favorite little outings. The prices are pretty much the same as other Barnes & Noble locations, which is expected. The lines usually aren't too long, and the staff is always very sweet and helpful. I recently took my sons to Barnes & Noble, and we had such a great experience. The store is clean, organized, and really welcoming for families. They have a large children's section, which my boys loved. My youngest was immediately drawn to the little stage area he had the best time playing with the countless hand puppets. It's such a cute and creative space for younger kids to let their imaginations run wild. My oldest son is an avid reader, and he was thrilled to find special editions of some of his favorite books, like Wings of Fire. Seeing him get excited about reading made the visit even better. Even the bathrooms were fresh and clean, which is always a plus when you're out with kids. Overall, Barnes & Noble provided a wonderful experience for both of my boys. This Barnes & Noble is located at The Shoppes at Pembroke Garden. Great location at an open air Mall. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby to choose from. Barnes & Nobles at this location is incredibly spacious and open floor with great visibility. Well organized and clean. Well kept location. Great selection of books and kids section looks really cute. The Starbucks shop at this location also very convenient. Staff is helpful. Lots of new items added to the menu. Good thing this Barnes & Noble bookstore and a Starbucks Cafe inside. The customer service desk employee used her database to locate a book that the wife was trying to find. We applaud her gracious assistance. This location provides a large news stand and music section on both sides of the store. Most of the shelves were tightly stacked with books. Very nice vinyl record section which included phonographs for purchase to spin those records. Good variety of best sellers, fiction and religious books. I just enjoy cracking open a real book and relax with a cup of hot coffee. read more

Love Barnes & Noble. With Amazon and everything being so readily available online, we have lost the art of visiting an actual bookstore. I love coming to physical bookstores to check out the newest books, gift ideas, holiday selections and whatever else. Just browsing around a bookstore makes me happy. It's therapeutic. Happy to see B&N stores are still around. This one is located at Pembroke Crossing Shopping Center next to Ulta and Golf Galaxy. I have found that this location has some great clearance and last chance deals that are different from other B&N locations. Not sure why but it is. I stopped in here to return some items and Mia was my lovely cashier. She was wonderful and very patient. Helped me as best as she could with my return. When she was unsure of how to process my specific return dealing with a Last Chance deal that was apparently a Final Sale but the other B&N location said I would be able to return. Mia called in Tyler who was very empathetic to my situation and honored my request to return these Last Chance items since the other store said they would be able to do it. But now I know that any B&N clearance and Last Chance items are FINAL SALES!!! Thank you Mia and Tyler for your help in resolving my situation. I appreciate your help in this matter. read more

Most of the brand new Barnes & Noble bookstores do not have a Starbucks coffee shop but happily this one does. A full sized cafe with lots of seating. Basically, a full menu providing coffee and pastries. Let's move on to the actual bookstore. Big and beautiful is how I can explain this place. The children's area at the back of the store is well maintained and clean, with kids playing as the parents read books nearby. Over the past few years, Barnes & Noble really ramped up their music and vinyl inventory. Many action figures, plush animals and puzzles for gifts. The romance novels and world history books are my favorite genre. Im always wondering if youngsters still read paperback books. read more

I had an amazing experience visiting the Barnes and Noble store # 2814 located in Pembroke Pines, FL. My great experience was thanks to store clerk " Juliana." I was looking for 2 books and a specialty deck of cards. Juliana saw that the specialty card was not within stock. She offered to have the deck ordered to the store and she was so sweet about it. I also asked for a book involving legal advice. However, the book was not located at its assigned shelf. I encouraged her not to worry about it but Juliana remained patient and continued looking for the book. She even went up front to search a possible second location to where the book could be. Her theory was right! She located the book I needed. It was available... She also found the 2nd book that I asked about within a matter of seconds. I was SO IMPRESSED. Please recognize Juliana for a job WELL-DONE. She is an amazing store clerk and if she isn't already a part of the management team, I would encourage a promotion for Juliana definitely has what it takes... and if she is already a part of the management team then maybe a really great gift card and a team meeting shout out would suffice! Who ever heard of going to a bookstore for tea? It's amazing that I can find some brands of Harney and Sons tea in the cafes so I don't have to make an order online. Other than that, my daughter and I stopped in so that she could buy a new release that came out last Tuesday. At the time we came in, the line was a bit long and it was a little to get checked out since there was only one cashier. Memberships also don't work like they used to, you have to get the plus version if I'm not mistaken. Since this is the only bookstore that is typically found near us, we stop in time to time whenever there is a new release from one of our auto-buy authors instead of getting it at the library. read more

This location is fine. The staff members are usually nice and the store is laid out well. They let you play with your children and read to them in the children's section (which not every location allows). They have a nice selection of books, games and toys. We end up shopping here for birthday presents more often than not. It's also a nice place to relax and catch up on your reading. The cafe is a bit expensive and I tend not to purchase anything from it. However, I do like this place and I will continue to come here and bring my kids. read more

This Barnes & Noble is located right across Pembroke Lakes Mall, same plaza as Ulta and David's bridal. Lots of parking available in this plaza. I love how this specific bookstore is spacious and clean. Lots of books, magazines and even office supplies (they also have the best journal options) to choose from. It is laid out pretty well and books are arranged in a way that is easy to find. They have a cafe inside that serves starbucks coffee & has more food options than what a usal starbucks cafe usually serve, which is what I personally like. The cafe itself is also very well lit so that it is more conducive for reading. The only downside I can think of is the wifi connection is unstable. I was disconnected a couple of times in the short period that I was here. read more

After an appointment, I passed by this location, hoping to get some zen, and zen, I did receive. A bookstore right on Pines Blvd in front of Pembroke Lakes Mall. If you know me, I'm a bookstore fanatic and Barnes & Noble is the bookstore that started it all. This location is pretty big and I enjoy the size of the B&N Cafe because even at the busiest of times, there will still be a high probability that you can find a table to sit at. The only downside is that I've found their free wifi to be a bit spotty. This location is further away from me than the one in Pembroke Gardens so I get pretty upset when I make the trek over here and am not able to work out of my laptop. Even if I get upset, I just get and take a walk around. Being surrounded by books always cheers me up. This place also has a pretty big magazine section. I like the layout of this area better than other B&N's just because its lined across the wall and they have seating right in the middle so you can pick up a magazine or book and just skim through. Cohesive layouts just make me happy. B&N, you'll always have a place in my heart. read more

Great store! I can spend an entire day in here! I started out Christmas shopping and found a little gem for myself! Staff is attentive and welcoming. Around every corner help is available should you need any type of assistance. Books, magazines, newspapers, maps, coloring books, art sets, gifts to include collectible figurines, games, stuffed animals, Legos, bookmarks, umbrellas, Calendars, etc...! They have a fantastic musical selection as well. Cafe area was clean with plenty of tables available. No waiting at check out because they had plenty of workers to help. This particular location had gift wrapping with two of Santa's adorable helpers! I'm sorry I didn't catch if it was donations or free. I would like to mention they have a clearance section. I'm such a foodie and I love books but what's even better is that I love them together. I can spend hours in a book store - browsing, reading, or just hanging out. All you book lovers know exactly what I'm talking about. I love Barnes & Noble and I love having a cafe located right inside. It's convenient and brilliant if you ask me. The Cafe has a hefty menu. I was happy to see actual food on the menu and not just you're typical pastries. Don't get my wrong, there's nothing like a delicious, mouthwatering, piece of cake with coffee, but when I want food I'd like to have that option. Even though my daughter's ate at cooking class they were hungry by the time we got to the book store. I ordered the veggie pizza and the farmers wrap. Both were very good and tasty. I was impressed for the Cafe. We also ordered hot chocolate, and chai tea latte's with soy milk. The Cafe is "like" Starbucks. They stress however, they are not Starbucks, they just sell their food. So don't expect to be able to use your Starbucks member card. Seating is plenty. There's enough room for large crowds. This is my toddler's favorite store, we are members and love the fact that we can hang out as a family. However, today, my husband needed to change my daughters diapers and the only bathroom that has a kids changer is in the women's bathroom, when he tried to enter an staff member coming out told him he can't get in because it was the women bathroom.. he even though it was because there was a changer in the men's bathroom but nope .. so sad to be dealing with this type of situations in 2023. This Barnes and Noble store is large, well stocked, and extremely pleasant to go and visit. While it is pricey, they do offer membership benefits, and frequently have sales on current hardcover best sellers. I really like this location. It's quiet. There is a Starbucks located inside so if anyone is interested in getting a snack or perhaps studying by themselves or with a group, it's definitely possible and an available option. Their collection of books is massive! They have everything from children's novels to romances, classics, to self-help books. They also carry Manga and graphic novels as well as action figurines like Funko pops. You can EASILY spend over an hour at this store without even realizing it from just browsing and observing what is present. What I really love about this B&N is that they have special events periodically which is nice. Walked into this store and asked for a book. The customer service rep said they don't have it in and said the best she could do for me is hold it and I can drive back. I used to be a huge B&N fan. However, I've become a smarter shoppper. There have been so many times that I've wanted to patronize B&N but the fact that they don't offer price matching to other brick & mortar stores has been a big issue for me. Within the past 2 years I've saved hundreds of dollars shopping at other retailers!!!! The costumer service in the book store was great, very friendly and happy to help! How ever I went to the caffe (Starbucks) in the Barnes & Nobles and I was not satisfied at all. My coffee tastes awful (Carmel brûlée latte) and my croissant was hard as a rock. I asked the lady to heat it up for me and she did in the same bag she handed it to me in. Horrible customer service at the Pines location. My credit card was declined and when I asked if there was a reason the machine didn't take it, the cashier told me that she is sick of people asking that and she has no idea why I don't have any money. I paid cash and then I called my cc company, which told me that the charge had gone through just fine and the cashier had cancelled it. I informed the cashier of what the cc company said and her response was literally, "not my problem", and then a loud "NEXT" to call the next person in line (though no one was there). There have been several times that story time, scheduled for 11am on Saturdays, has been cancelled without any notice on the website due to someone not showing up for work. I used to work retail. If you commit to having an event, you should follow through and have a plan b. Even though it's very convenient for me to take my son here, I don't anymore due to the unpredictability. Example: if you look on their website today it says there is an event at 11am for s special story hour. Don't waste your time, since 1 person didn't show to work it's not happening. When I called to confirm earlier today at 10:15am they said I should check back in a couple hours. Obviously their staff wasn't even aware of the event. read more
