Work…read morestarted in early September, but what followed was an absolute nightmare of delays, mismanagement, and broken promises. During the project, they discovered mold in our ceiling, which understandably extended the timeline. While we acknowledged this issue and a few other adjustments, the contractor assured us they would finish by Spring 2024 - an expectation that was never met. At first, we received endless excuses--sick workers, bad weather, material delays--but soon they stopped showing up altogether, often without any notice. At one point, they left our roof without shingles for six months, covered only with Tyvek, exposing our home to the elements. Despite paying in installments, we eventually learned they were low on funds and had been working on other projects simultaneously. To keep progress moving, we were forced to purchase materials directly and deduct the costs from the remaining balance, but the delays continued. When they came, they never worked more than 6 hours per day and took numerous breaks. This dragged on indefinitely, and we were left chasing them for answers. This project stretched for 2 years, and they finished 95% of the job then stopped coming. We finally gave up on them and finished part of it ourselves and hired another contractor to finish the rest. While the work that was completed was well done, we would caution potential clients about H&H Home Improvement's financial mismanagement, lack of accountability, and ongoing delays.

Very easy to communicate, and we always follow his suggestions. We first called other locals, and they always seem to ignore us, and it takes 2 to 3 calls to get a response. We even called a local "female" company, and without even offering to come look at the job, told us that it was "too small" to take on. There isn't any type of a response like this from H&H. This is one of this "don't judge a book by it's cover" type of company. Everything we had done by them was very professional. Before you settle on one contractor, give them a try.

KlausLarsen Roofing began work on a neighbors roof in Suffield, CT May 28, 2026 without pulling a…read morepermit. The homeowner is well known as a bigot. I noticed workers stripping the roof into my backyard without permission. When I went out to speak to the workers, none spoke English. Site manager Mark Libiszewski came over and I explained he didn't ask permission and does not have permission to strip the haters roof onto our property. The bigot called police. That is when it was discovered no roofing permit had been pulled. Site manager blamed it on a 3rd party error. Police explained [on video + audio] work came to a halt & once a permit is pulled work will resume within 10 to 14 days. The site manager will come to my house prior to work starting and touch base. No stripping will be done on our property but workers will come over to pickup errant debris and nail sweep with a magnet. Five days later, June 2, I noticed tarps, plywood, and workers stripping the neighbors roof into our yard. When I walked over to confront the same site manager the tarps were coming down as the roof was speed stripped by the hard-working crew. I reiterated to Mark he did not have permission to strip the bigots roof onto our property and if he needed that kind of access we should be compensated for it. Mark said he had no authority to compensate and they always go onto other peoples property when needed. Mark also said Suffield Police said we gave permission and insinuated I was calling police a liar. I subsequently called KlausLarsen office and spoke to Cora, Production Department, who told me I need to speak to Joanie Dunstan Mgr. Two days later I connected with Joanie who had to speak to someone else and then would call my son who owns the property. Needless to say my son is still waiting for a call. In summary, KlausLarsen did not pull a proper permit initially, feels entitled to send equipment & crew onto other peoples property without permission even when told not to. We inadvertently helped a bigot get his roof done by a crew of foreign hard workers he despises and our yard was the receptacle for the bigots roof trash. I cannot speak to pricing or quality of work but I can speak to the unprofessional and disrespectful manner in which we were treated.

T&D is the only crew I hired that completed the necessary repairs in the time scheduled and also corrected deficient work by other contractors. No work or language issues and after they finished their work the only way I knew someone had been there was that the premises were cleaner than when they arrived. This is a local family business that I believe values its reputation and the next time I need work on the property they will be my first call.
