For us, it was repairing drywall damage from our complete HVAC duct replacement. Old vents are not the same size as new double-wall vents, and we had additional condensate damage from the old leaky vents/ducts. Lots of critical, highly visible work. Permits for my project appeared to be filed through another company, M & Z Construction. My project experienced significant delays, change-order/upcharge disputes, inspection and engineering/blueprint issues, and several promised items that were never completed. Some work I ultimately completed myself to move the project forward. During disputes over these issues, the possibility of a construction lien was also raised. When I later sold the property, the closing attorney flagged concerns regarding the contractor/licensing structure and held part of the sale proceeds temporarily while the matter was reviewed. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to independently verify licensing, permitting, contracts, and who is actually responsible for the work / injuries / defects before making payments or signing agreements. Nick, the owner of Megapolis Construction is apparently a married man. To the licensed contractor of the Florida license he used for permits for my project. They are invested together financially but with the current structure, it seems they are able to possibly avoid any direct liability operating between 2 companies.

WE Really wanted to like this company and they started out good.. Well my suspicions were correct…read moreand none of the transitioning lines or edges are crisp or straight as John promised. I noticed during the process something seemed off and a simple Google search revealed most PRO painters do the base first in order to get a straight line using tape. This company DOES NOT use tape. Everything is freehand and it shows. My 10yr old daughter can make a straighter line. At first they seemed like they knew what they were doing and prepping properly with a sanding machine but as the job progressed it became evident they were cutting corners. Not enough prep was done and they rushed the job from middle to end. Lots of drips and they missed entire areas. The worst part is they destroyed our brand new $3k Hunter Douglas powerview blinds and refused to offer any compensation. And It's more than just visual deformities .. somehow the way it was wrapped caused the entire thing to warp and now it's not closing properly on the mechanism. And the mechanism sounds like it's forcing them which could eventually break the track. The bottom line is we paid for a premium professional job but got a less than adequate sub par workmanship finished product. The owner said we had too much stuff to move. That's complete bs. We had one room with alot of stuff that we assisted with AND the rest of the house 80% we moved ourselves! This all started because the owner was greedy. I asked if we could remove the base painting from the original estimate and he said the job would not be worth it for him at that point. He forced my hand to honor the original estimate and do something I didn't want to do and now this is what happens. The bottom line is we paid for a premium professional job but only got an ametuer job that we could of hired a few day laborers to do for half the price.. 3/5 I had a mixed…read moreexperience with this company. I want to start by saying that Ryan, the owner, was extremely professional, kind, and responsive throughout the process. They did come out and successfully resolve the water leak that was getting into my garage, which I appreciate. My main concern is the craftsmanship and finished appearance. As you can see in the photos, the pavers along the garage were not aligned straight with the garage door. When viewed from the side, the uneven line is very noticeable and unfortunately makes the finished work look sloppy. I would encourage Ryan to have a little more oversight of his crews, as he was not present on the day the original work was performed. The crew that came back to address the water issue was a different crew, and they were actually the ones who pointed out that the tiles should not have been cut shorter in the first place. Had the tiles been left at their original width, it would have avoided the alignment issue altogether. I really appreciate Ryan's professionalism and the fact that they ultimately resolved the water issue, which is why I'm giving three stars. Unfortunately, the quality and appearance of the finished work keep me from giving a higher rating.
