Neal came in, gave us a couple different options and a reasonable bid to make the correction. He and his team came in, prepped, and painted within two days and left our kitchen spotless. After installing a new roof and fascia, I had a lot if caulking and priming. Martin provided an excellent price to paint the whole house and 100 foot property wall. The 3 painters were excellent showing up early and staying late each day. Their taping was precise and there was a lot, including 12 exterior wall fixtures. They even removed 4 hose hangers (no one did that before!). Great attention to detail, so I will definitely use them again for other projects. We have used Benchmark twice now for all kinds of work. Replacing doors, replacing door frames, painting, decorative designer wall trim and garage floor sealing and coating. They have exceeded our expectations every time! The Black Diamond crew of 7-8 guys that came to our home were wonderful - respectful, hard-working and they worked so quietly and quickly, we hardly knew they were there! Rodrigo, our project manager, was fantastic and knew exactly what we wanted and how to price it out correctly. Incredible work done, on time and perfect. They set up an in-law suite that included moving plumbing under the slab, moving walls, drywall, painting and finishing. I give them a negative rating because of the following. I asked in my contract to remove my popcorn ceiling and install smooth finish. It was in the contract. They put in knock down instead and had to re-do entire job costing me my time to move in my home. Another reason is I specified the paint brand and color. They did not abide by this in my contract and used inferior grade paint which is now peeling. They did not prep the walls trim etc and this the paint is peeling. They are the worst. They sub contract their jobs to the worst painters to get low bids while asking for top dollar for the job read more

So after we posted our original review we had a message from the owner within 9 minutes. After not being able to reach him or get him to respond from emails he finally answers, wondering if we were really customers. Have not heard from him directly again. His is elusive and evasive and trying to get rid of us. The remedies he is suggesting to our lead man is substandard. After trying to repair their first major blunders, they made it worse and have now actually ruined all our doors. They want to sand down louvered doors and repaint them for the 3rd time. We are on to losing a 3rd month of renters in our beautiful new remodeled condo and he won;t even call us despite repeated requests. Benchmark was professional from start to finish and did the job the right way, with careful preparation and good communication. Benchmark painters are the worst painters and company I have ever dealt with. They had an entire week to paint my 2000 square foot home. They sent one painter who did not prep the walls, nor did he bring any lights so he could see properly. He never put on a second coat and the job was horrible. He put a 6 inch gash in my counter top with a straight edge and leaked oil all over my driveway. The paint is peeling and very blotchy. Unfortunately I will have to hire another painter to do the job properly. Do yourself a big favor....Dont call Benchmark.. You will regret it read more

Use this company ONLY if you want your house destroyed, your life disrupted and the owner not to get back to you! These people suck! We hired them to remove our popcorn. They subcontracted the removal to popcornremoval.com (where were excellent!) and then finished the ceilings. They did NOT cover or wrap my home as promised, so everything I own was covered in dust and dirt, even inside the closets. They sent 1 guy to do what they said a "crew" would do. The scratched and dinged almost every piece of furniture I own. I called the office and even the owner to complain when the 1 guy showed up alone. The owner said he would get back to me but NEVER did. The job took 12 days instead of 3. These people SUCK! We had gotten bids to have them do other work at our home and this is how they treated us. Martin, if you are reading this.... YOU SHOULD CALL BACK when you tell some you will and if someone is so upset that your office gives them your phone number, you should look into the problem instead of blowing them off. You are the owner and it is your responsibility that your salespeople do what they say they will and that you "crew" shows up and your workers do what is promised. You should be ashamed and we should have gotten a call, maybe even a visit from you to see what we are complaining about. Look at my reviews and you will see that I do NOT normally write negative reviews. That shows how much this company sucks! It has been months and every time I look at something damaged I am still pissed off at how poorly this job was handled. read more

This company was hired to put shutters on my home in preparation for a Category 5 hurricane. I left town believing the home was protected. When I returned home, I found the shutters were only put on the 2nd floor. These are the type of shutters that slide shut & lock, so it could not be easier. Thankfully the storm did not cause damage. However this company put us in risk of harm & had no apologies or customer service skills to even apologize. I can't imagine hiring them for bigger jobs if they are negligent at putting shutters up. I loved the painters. All of the men were really great. The office was very nice to work with. I painted in stages due to cost and they were very willing to work with me. Why did I not give a 5 star rating because the young lady that I worked with was not very nice after the contract was signed. I asked her to quote my community as I am on the board and she never followed up. I was embarrassed by her non action and frankly I was surprised. If she had followed up or had been nicer if I contracted this company I would of given a five star rating. 5 stars to the paint crew and the office staff. read more

Jared helped us with cosmetically updating a house we brought here in South FL. He and the crew did a wonderful job and even included some perks. The bathroom vanity is just beautiful and the tile they laid for us is so good looking that Jared himself went to buy some for his home. The painter did a great job and was very patience with us when we changed our minds about one room that had he had already painted. My neighbor liked the den color so well that I gave her the color and also Benchmark as the people to do the painting for her. They are the most incompetent and unprofessional people I have ever had the misfortune of working with. After they installed new hardware in my bathtub it has leaked for almost 8 weeks. They have sent three different people to attempt to fix it. The final "fix" resulted in a leak through the floor into the garage. After I hired a competent plumber, it turns out that Benchmark used electrical tape to seal the valve around the faucet. Everything they touch is a disaster. They acknowledged doing it and all they did was say, I'm sorry, that was not the right way to do it. read more

I do not know what to say. Benchmark Painting was FANTASTIC. I have never seen such cooperation and conscientious work. The group of workmen went beyond our expectations. From the beginning until the end, these workers were at our house form 7:00am until 8:00am. They were efficient, clean, and made the experience wonderful. Each night they cleaned up, put everything back to its original place, and left earthing neat and tidy, ready for the next day. The faux painting that Steve did is gorgeous. We are so pleased with his artistry. The end result was fantastic.i cannot give enough accolades. I would hire this company over and over again. For your information, I interviewed 5 companies and got estimates. Benchmark was not the cheapest or most expensive, but I decided to use do the the professionalism of their sales rep Patricia. She came to the house for an initial estimate, a final estimate, and a color selection final meeting. In all my years as a homeowner, I have never experienced such dedication by the workers.
