My son just moved into the area and my truck I was loaning him broke down (Starter). I was able to get Trinity Towing to tow the truck there Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning early, they called with the work complete. I had them check for a leak the tow driver mentioned and tightened the battery cable. Quicker and easy. My wife and I were traveling from Atlanta to Louisville when, on a rest stop, I noticed that the tires in the back were wearing down... Very badly. We looked for a local tire place, and not knowing the area, we chose Barnes because of the review we read about them. The review said they were honest and did business the right way. We had no choice, so we gave them a try. An hour and a half later we walked out with two brand new tires and an alignment at a reasonable price. Rick and Ann could not have been more helpful and kind. You hear stories, and we've been victims, of small town mechanics cheating out-of-towners in an emergency. But they knew our situation and took care of us as if we were old friends. I hope to never have tire problems again in Jasper, Tennessee. But if I do, I'm going to Barnes. read more

I've only been there a few times, a couple oil changes and a lift/rotation. And that's all great. Watch how they talk to other customers besides yourself...if something isn't right they will make it so. I've seen it. And I haven't had any issues but if I did I'd trust them to make it either. Had a vibration in my steering wheel of my 2014 Jeep Wrangler and was recommended to go to Barnes by a childhood friend of mine so I stopped by Barnes after work and spoke to Rick who greeted me as I walked in the door. I told him I needed a frontend alignment but after I told Rick what my jeep was doing he immediately told me that the alignment wasn't the problem but it sounds like it maybe the drag link. He told me to drop my jeep off in the morning and they would check it out and let me know. So I dropped it off two mornings later and went out the door to walk to work and Rick came out the door asking me if I was going to walk, I told him yeah its a nice morning lol He says no you're not going to walk, come on and I will take you. He dropped me off at work and once the repairs were made he came and picked me back up to go pick up my jeep. Some of the nicest people I have ran across! You don't realize how bad something is til it gets fixed ! Rick and his professional crew not only fixed my jeep that now rides like a dream again but made a great impression on me and I will take all of my vehicles there from now on! I believe that Annette got it all wrong.She said she had her tires rotated somewhere else and it was done wrong.Went to another place and they did not have the right tools.When she went to Barnes they not only had the right tools but fixed the problem. Congratulations Annette you found a professional and trained business. They fixed your problem and for only $15.00 solved your problem.Maybe you should take that invoice back to the shop that caused the problem and have them pay you back for the charges. read more

After reading another review of this business that was less than generous I felt the need to speak out about my experience. 4 years ago I was passing by Jasper on the interstate heading home to Alabama when one of my camper tires failed. It was late in the day when I called the tire store with only a few minutes before their closing time. After I called them and explained my situation and location they said they would wait on me. They did. With a smile from everyone who helped. They had a good stock of trailer tires to choose from. As it turns out I had another tire about to fail, which the technician carefully showed me. They put on the new tires, remounted my best tire on the spare tire rim for no charge and mounted the spare under the trailer and were not only professional but also courteous and friendly! The new tires were competitively priced and the labor was half what I pay in my large town. Before long we were on our way. My only experience with this business was fantastic! If I lived near them they would get all of my business. read more

Just was not impressed with the greediness of this place. Went to Tire and Lube in Kimball, Tennessee first to have the pressure in my tires checked because the tire pressure light had come on in my new 2015 Honda Civic. He said when I had my tires rotated at National Tire in Chattanooga (do NOT recommend this place unless you want to be guaranteed to be ripped off) that they had put my locked hubcap back on crooked and he could not get to the tire pressure gauge to check the air in that tire and that he would correct it for me but he did not have the tools. He said if I went any where then back to NTB in Chattanooga I would probably be charged but I did not want to drive back to Chattanooga. He was a kind man and friendly and did not charge me for this service. I went down the road to Barnes Tire and they corrected the problem and charged me $15.00 to do so. I was stunned, I should have had Honda do it for $20.00 when I had my oil changed. I have to work 1+ hours to pay for this simple procedure. I assumed (and assume nothing) when I went to Barnes that it would only cost $5.00 or maybe free if they had good business skills. I was actually thinking of going to Barnes for my next set of tires when needed if they had been a little kinder and gracious. I know this is a small thing but it is in the small things done with kindness that make a lasting impression. I was not told in advance that this procedure would cost $15.00 or I would have not had it done and waited until I went back to Chattanooga. My fault for not asking. Next time I will ask the price for anything done and check reviews before having the smallest act done on my car. Another small lesson learned in life. read more
