Lots of fun. Customer Service needs adjustment

Please work on the Customer Service, the ladies seem to be more into making Tik Toks than helping out and giving vague responses to questions. Bathrooms filthy but the animals make up for the fun chicken.

Idk how I haven't reviewed this place. My family has been so many times. It's super cheap to go in and feed the animals. If you wanna ride on a pony, it's more. We haven't not done that yet. The place is small but still really fun. They have some horses, a pic, chickens, goats. There's also a play area for kids. There's not a ton of shade or space to sit to play accordingly. Staff is friendly.

Haiku: Lakewood Barnyard Buddies A fun petting zoo Pigs, goats, chickens, cows Horseback riding too! --- This is such a fun spot to bring the kiddos or any animal lover. There are a variety of farm animals you can pet and some you can feed. Some animals you'd see are goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, alpacas, ponies, and rabbits. Admission is $6, feed ranges from $2-$16, pony rides $8. You can even rent space and throw a birthday party too!

Came here with my grandson and he had the time of his life. We went to the petting zoo, and there were so many sheep and goats and chickens for him to pet. Then off to ride the little pony. His first pony ride and it was amazing. So much fun. They also have a place for you to wash and sanitize your hands afterwards.

    Being fed from outside enclosure

My BFF and I took our little ones. Oh my goodness! Even the ones that didn't want to go had such a fun time. You can feed the goats from outside the enclosure, trust me, that's the safest way to feed them, (based of seeing some guy that didn't pay attention). Once the food is gone, you can walk into the spacious enclosure where the goats and the chickens are roaming. Wear old shoes. Maybe bring a brush or different shoes to wear when you get back in the car. Not pricey at all. Good fun for little ones. They all want to go back.

We had the best time celebrating my daughter's bday. Randi the owner of Barnyard buddies and her staff were amazing! Randi was on top of all my emails and answering all my questions and the staff the day of were super helpful not just with me but with checking in my party of about 80! I would 100% recommend booking them for your parties! A few helpful tips for large parties and if you want to have a larger setup like did I would recommend booking both time slots for your event, that way you have time to set up and not be rushed. I would also rec spending the extra $35 on the private pony for your party. It's not much extra and makes a HUGE difference! They get busy on the weekends and with the short window you don't want your guests spending unnecessary time waiting in line with everyone to ride the pony. The only con I can think of is that they close so early. My family is never on time so 5pm was a pretty quick window for us after all that planning. If there was a way to extend the party hours I would love to know. I've seen they have hosted a night time event per their IG so maybe it's something to investigate if you are looking to book. Other than that BOOK BOOK BOOK THEM! All the kids had the best time and my family can't stop talking about it! RANDI and STAFF THANK YOUUUUU from The Jones crew!

My 3-year-old and 7-year-old granddaughters had the best time here. They loved the pony rides. Pitting the goats feeding the animals and holding the chickens.

My kids love coming to Barnyard Buddies to feed the goats, play with the ducks, and chickens. They also love the pony rides. We love coming here regularly.

Came here as a kid a lot. So I guess nostalgia was a big part of why we came back. I was a kid but I don't remember the old ownership charging just to enter. I get times have changed but there's plenty of places to go that don't charge just to see animals. Was about $6 a person. A pony ride which I think is two laps was I believe $8 a ride. Now, we did chose a hot day to go but at about $70 it wasn't much of a day. Not much shade. The pony ride was one at a time. And animals were cute but the food to feed them is expensive. Overall I'm sure a birthday party or school trip would be fun. And it was fun to see the animals. But not bringing the fam back any time soon. Just too pricey and really not that big and much to do for the costs.

The cutest small little barnyard! Easy to locate, plenty of parking. We visited on a Sunday morning at opening. You can pay cash or card, but they charge more for card, so BRING CASH! We paid for or group and bought a few cups of animal food. I decided to wait to buy a pony ride ticket until my daughter warmed up and was for sure going to ride. We started with feeding the goats, which were a little aggressive lol. My toddlers were a little apprehensive, so my husband and I ended up feeding them all the food hahaha. There is a cute photo backdrop for pics. You can walk into the goat area to pet the animals including pigs! There was a cow, chickens, bunnies, horses, etc! They also had a small play area with toys as well as a large grass area with picnic tables! I would definitely plan to return during lunch time or bring snacks and enjoy the picnic tables! My daughter asked to ride the pony so I purchased a ticket and we waited in a short line. The 3 kids in front of us started crying as they got up to the pony and didn't want to ride. They staff were all very patient and told the parents they could try again later. My daughter had rode horses before so she was excited! You have the option to lead the horse or let the staff lead, I chose to lead her horse. I think we circled 3 times, plenty of time. She loved it! Highly recommend visiting! Friendly staff, variety of animals to look at and located across from shopping center if you want to eat/shop before or after.

The Circle LB scholars visited in February 2024. We were excited to spend all morning... visiting the petting area, take in some lessons, and have lunch. After 1 1/2 hours we're done? Now we have 3 more hours to kill? The kids had a great time with feeding goats, brushing pigs, and holding chickens, etc... the lessons were rather minimal and brief, we were hoping for so much more (hence 4 stars). Note to your group, a good time, but just plan 1 -2 hours, that's plenty.

This is a solid rural urban or urban rural place for city kids to go country. There's an admission for all who enter, adults and children. They have pony rides and a petting zoo here You can feed the animals too. We had fun. It was a bit more expensive than I thought it would be 'tho, but it's 2024 and everyone needs to make a living these days It's local to the South Bay Beach Cities, so if you're in Orange County to Santa Monica it's somewhat convenient to drive here.

We arrived to find parking along a busy highway (?!?), with golf carts shuttling visitors to and from the entrance, just a few feet away from cars whizzing past. That was weird. Then we got to the sort of holding area where they keep guests until their reservation time. Before we went in, the owner came out to greet us...sort of. She gave us a basic history of the place, but before she did, she wished us "happy pride" and told us all about how virtuous she was, as if everyone should be celebrating? Weird and inappropriate to say the least. The last thing she did before allowing us the entrance we'd paid handsomely for, was to lecture us about becoming vegans. Which is one of my biggest pet peeves about vegans to begin with. Then she stood at the entrance and offered everyone literature on veganism as we walked past. I declined. Wholly inappropriate, offensive and off putting. I didn't pay to be lectured about something I disagree with. It was nice to (finally) see and interact with the animals, but some of the volunteers were too much. I understand they're used to dealing with idiots every weekend, but some of the instructions they were giving were flat out dangerous, like having babies (maybe 18 months old) feed carrots to grabby, nippy horses. Bad idea when little hands aren't any bigger than the carrots. Most (not all) volunteers were just a bit too power trippy and under-educated for my taste. I will say the facilities were pretty clean and appeared well kept, but the horses and donkeys were filthy and in dire need of grooming. Give your visitors brushes and curry combs and show them how to brush the animals. Win-win for everyone. It was nice to hang out with the animals, but most of the people I could do without. Probably won't be back again.
