I finally drove 30 minutes to the store on a Thursday to get an appointment. Sara was there and had an excuse, saying she was going to call me on Monday. Ummm... too busy to look at the scheduling calendar, make a call and get a date on the calendar with a client? Dale came to measure and sent a proposal that afternoon. After looking at the proposal, I noticed they had used my sister-in-law's address in Seattle as the ship to/install. I'm in Skagit County. I wrote back to Dale, copying Sara, asking them to switch the address to mine. Dale said he would, but that it would change the sales tax amount. Unsure why that would be an issue as it would come out in my favor... Skagit county sales tax is much less than King County. I am yet to receive the revised proposal even though I have called a few times requesting that it be done. Has been one month since Dale measured for carpeting. I can't imagine they are so busy that they can't get into a proposal and change the address and resend it in an email to me. The dismissive behavior by Sara and lack of follow up on both their parts has me incredibly disappointed. I will never shop at Great floors in Burlington. I suggest you don't either. Yes they can give you great prices but I don't think it's worth it in the long run. Many other places have wonderful flooring in the area and they can come very close to their prices.

I was told it would be 1-2 days to get a quote. It's been 7 days and have heard nothing. Now I have to start the process over. My project will be 3-4 weeks behind now. I guess they don't want business. I'm pissed!

The 2 kids that delivered it were not up to the task. If we had not gave them some guidance they would never have got it out. They claimed their truck did not have the proper equipment to do the installation. They claimed they would tell their supervisor to get another crew to install the new unit. They contacted us with a new date and time. No one showed up. Called Lowe's and they arranged a new day and time. No one showed up. Called Lowe's and got to a manager who talked to their 3rd party company scheduler. The scheduler said he would get it scheduled the next day and would notify us of the appointment time. No one showed up and did not get a call. After noon I went to the store to purchase furniture sliders as we decided that we would need to install it ourselves (I am 83 and my wife is 81). While I was there I talked to the people in the appliance department where it was purchased. They contacted the delivery company and verified we were on the schedule. They claimed that someone had come to the house at 8:00 am. Our security camera picked up FedEx, Amazon and United Parcel Service but no Lowe's truck. They said they would have a crew here between 4 & 7, no show. About 7:30 we decided to try to install it ourselves. This unit is 74" high and weighs 350lbs. We actually were successful in getting it moved from our deck to the installation site. We decided at that time that was enough for that day. This morning after breakfast I started the installation process. The unit is in a single closet size area with just enough room to slide it in part way to hook up everything on the back. Then I was able to push it in and test it. (Today is September 11th.) SUCCESS. Now I need to try to get a refund for the installation fee I paid. Not too happy to say the least, think I will go back to Home Depot. Ray Bunn Sent from my iPad

I've seen photos of the tulip fields before, but nothing prepared me for seeing them in person. The colors seem to go on forever, and there are so many different varieties of tulips. Everywhere you look feels like a postcard. Honestly, the pictures I took don't even come close to capturing how beautiful it is. A little tip for anyone visiting: wear garden boots or rain boots if there's been recent rain. The parking area is gravel, and some spots can get pretty muddy. Thankfully, there are plenty of porta-potties near the entrance before you head into the farm. The staff were so friendly and helped direct everyone where to go. As you walk toward the fields, you get a little preview of the tulips ahead, and I remember thinking, "Wow, this is beautiful." Then we got into the actual fields and realized that was just the beginning. There were so many great spots for photos. On the day we visited, the sky had those big fluffy white clouds, and the colorful fields reminded me of the Teletubbies landscape my son used to watch when he was little. It felt almost surreal. I also loved that this is clearly a family farm. There was food, a gift shop, and even a catalog where you can order bulbs to grow some of these beautiful flowers at home. The whole area has that small-town, community feel that just makes you slow down and enjoy where you are. Knowing that your visit helps support a local family farm makes it even better. And the mountain backdrop behind the tulip fields? Absolutely incredible. Every time I thought I'd found the prettiest view, I'd turn around and find another one. If you're thinking about going, do it. Just be sure to stay on the paths and help protect the flowers for everyone else. This was one of those places that left me smiling the whole drive home.

The crowd comes with the territory. What really stood out was how well-organized everything was. Staff were actively directing traffic for parking and foot traffic which made the arrival process surprisingly smooth given the turnout. It's clear the organizers put thought into the logistics. The flower variety was truly awesome! Sooo many stunning colors and blooms that you just don't see every day. If you're a photography lover then this place is a dream. Every corner was practically begging to be photographed. They did have concessions on-site, which was convenient but my one suggestion would be to bring in a couple of food carts or local vendors to mix things up. The options were pretty basic. Think hotdogs and the usual staples. A little more variety in the food department would really elevate the whole experience. Minor food note aside, it was a fantastic visit and a perfect way to spend a spring day.
