WORST OVER PRICED WINE IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND. Bought two bottles of Chardonnay that I thought were good coming from Sonoma. $16 each. They tasted horrible! They were borderline going bad. From 2019. My bad for not realizing that it is pretty old for a Chardonnay. So I guess some of it is on me. But I would think they would know what it tasted like. Don't buy wine from here unless you know the label. The popular brands they sell at highly inflated prices you can get for much cheaper at Ralph's or Albertsons . But the ones they sell that you think might be unique and interesting not sold at Ralph in at Woodson's are absolutely not!! read more

I was in the Murrieta area at the time when I was looking for a Farmer's market, but my GPS directed me to Baron's Market. I'm glad I decided to come in, I was so amazed and impressed by the selections and atmosphere of the Store. I loved it so much that I felt like a kid roaming in a candy shop! They have a bar for delicious hot food/meal, salad bar, soup bar and every single one of them has my favorite food. It's self-serve so you can pick and choose whatever you want! It's easy to checkout and pay as you go, there are service counters. I had an amazing experience and will surely be back soon. read more

Don't order any ready to eat food because someone clearly isn't handling food properly. On three separate occasions,with three different food items, and three different customers the result was all the same. Food poisoning thanks Barons! I have not been inside a barons since 1999 for good reason they are completely overpriced. 4-5 years ago they shut down the salad and olive bars. Today i decided to see if the bars were open. Yes and the soup bar too except all the soups looked terrible the Italian wedding soup had no meatballs at all none whatsoever the chicken noodle soup was brown and no meat it it either. Horrible food The olive bar was appealing however one of the dishes said it was chicken and pasta but it was filled with shrimp ( I'm allergic to shirmp and fish ) it had slices of some type of fish too. Ugh what a waste of $14.95 had to toss the whole container. They should be more conscientious of the signage and besides that the scale at the olive table showed the food was right at one pound or $10.99 but the register scale added weight 3.6 ounces which raises my cost to $14.95 and this is the last time I will ever pay for anything from this store read more

If Whole Foods and a New York Deli had a baby it would be Barons market! The moment you enter the store you realize it is something special, and you are in for a treat! Reminds me of Marks & Spencers in London due to the huge of selection of delicatessen items, wines, cheeses, chips, dairy goods, chocolates, meats, vegetables, fruits, dry goods, unique frozen foods, and specialty items not found in your standard grocery stores. In addition, you will find everything you could desire to satisfy your noon time meal requirements; sandwiches, wraps, prepared entrees, hot soups, and even a grand salad bar. The only downside to entering Barons, is leaving with more items than intended to purchase (smile). It's like being on a treasure hunt! Prices are reasonable for their quality offerings, the store is very clean and well maintained, and the staff are extremely pleasant to chat with. Highly recommend you visit. read more

There is always something in the area near the checkout where they display their bakery products that you just have to buy at least one thing! My wife and I are from Orange County and we were visiting family in Murrieta. I had decided that rather than go out to a restaurant I would cook us up a delicious brunch for 5 and since there's no Trader Joe's nearby, Barons would be a great option to try since both stores are very similar in brand styles, fresh organic food, great variety, and great value for their products. We weren't disappointed, the layout is very similar which made it easy for me to find all the products I needed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. For me, it was almost like a combination of Trader Joe's and Sprout's, the 2 stores I use to do our family's weekly shopping in. I like this place. Yes, it's a little bit pricey but the quality is there and it's not packed like the market across the street. The produce is good quality and the hot foods they have is always a must when you're too lazy to cook. Always grab a hot soup or you will regret it. Yes it's official, I love this Barons more than Menifee. I felt that they had more for some reason. Like the Whole Foods in Redondo Beach off PCH, that location a lot smaller boutique style & the El Segundo location large with more variety. Anyhow I love all Barons markets, I've yet to try their San Diego & Temecula locations. This one had a squaw bread that's fresh with huge slices & variety in tortillas. More choices of pre cooked food paks & well their baked goods, produce & alcohol remains the same - they're all great. I'll be visiting this one more. read more

Normally I always get little lunches etc from barons and today I got a ready made Greek salad and there wasn't just 1 hair it was a few hairs like someone dropped apart of it and picked it up. Extremely disappointing and probably won't ever buy a ready made salad here again. Make sure you check it throughly before eating . read more

We love Baron's Market Murrieta! You know it's a special place when you walk in, just from the wonderful smell. It smells like their cooking something delicious, but you can't really identify what it is. They have a great hot food bar, and a great soup station, so maybe that's it. The prices are more on par with Whole Foods than Trader Joe's, but if you're willing to pay a little more for good quality, this is the place. They have a lot of items that you don't find elsewhere, they have terrific frozen section, and they have a section for local wine from the Temecula wineries. I always end up getting more than I expected to because the way the place smells always makes me hungry. The staff is great too, highly recommended. read more

In our quest to find more grocery stores that are supportive of organic foods and healthy, pasture raised meats, free range poultry, we came across Barons. Barons is not in our neighborhood, we actually have to take a 30 minute drive to even get there. So we must plan ahead to make this trip as economical as possible. Barons is a smaller grocer than another in the area called Organic Roots in Temecula, so the comparison is not real easy. Barons, for instance, had only one small table that displayed organic vegetables and fruit. Organic Roots does a far better job. That was definitely a disappointment. However, we did find some specialty products I very much liked...sausages and bacon that fell into the sugar free category. Cast your eyes on the packaged Mulay's brand bulk sausages, sugar free. You will find a real quality product that is so good, my son, who is not particular about eating healthy, has declared the breakfast sausage as one of the best he has ever tasted. We agree. We have never found this brand at any other store. They also carry Pederson's brand sausages and bacon which are also sugar free. Kudos that you will also discover hormone-free rotisseried chicken, and also whole, uncooked Organic free range chicken back near the butcher. The salad bar is fresh and nicely stocked. The Olive oil and Balsamic vinegar bars share a rectangular display table and are displayed similar to high-end olive oil retailers in wine country, where you go in and do tastings from large stainless steel containers with spigots. You choose a container then fill it yourself. There are many different flavored oils and vinegars. Of note, they carry Julian apple pies (and more) and Julian Bakery Paleo bread, both excellent quality products that I no longer dare to indulge. These are both difficult to find items, so if you are still enjoying such things as pies, this is THE place for your reward. They also have a huge wine section that will knock your socks off. The amount of space needed for their stock takes over about a third of the entire retail square footage. You are, after all, verrrrrry close to wine country. Their shelves are neatly organized and the store is clean. This is a nice but limited specialty store that offers some uncommonly interesting brands that will excite the home chef/gourmet foodie population. read more

I totally thought I was walking into a Sprouts. I had never shopped in this store before, but it was basically the same layout and products as a Sprouts or a Trader Joe's. I shop at this Barons perhaps three times a week living so close for quick shopping runs. I happen to be looking at some of the reviews prior to posting mine. I was truly shocked! when I came across a review from 8/26/19 stating that one of the employees was rolling her eyes and had a ugly personalty? her name is Bryenna who in my opinion is one of the most helpful! kind! and targeted employee with assisting customers! and she is far! from being ugly! I have to give Diane a big plug as well just as talented! and sincere with customer service and has a great cool hair color. I'm retired in my 60's and know good customer service when its given to me . I love Barons Market and they have great helpful employees! in my opinion that was a cheap shot! read more

Baron's is an exceptional place to find all of your healthy food and produce items. I am a frequent patron of the salad and olive bar, both are always in superb shape. Most recently, yesterday in fact, I had a great experience at the Baron's salad bar after my workout next door. Joelle, was minding the salad bar and was on scene - at the salad bar - making sure everything was in tip-top shape. I grabbed my Baron's plastic container and noticed that the hard-boiled eggs were freshly prepared and ready...I briefly made a comment out loud saying, "It was great to see hard-boiled eggs again prepared." A nearby patron overheard me and said, "that it was her first time visiting Baron's and the salad bar." She informed me that her colleagues suggested the salad bar to her. I responded saying, "I come here often and re-use the plastic salad container, so that I do my little part in conserving plastic and helping the environment." Something to keep in mind when frequently visiting the Baron's salad bar while also fighting our pollution to our precious planet. When I was nearly finished loading up my salad, I noticed that I was missing something, peppercinnis...which sadly were not on display during this visit. But... Joelle was in hear shot and saved the day by making a great suggestion of his favorite item on the salad bar. I do not recall the name of the pepper vegetable; all I know that it was an excellent compliment to my salad and a great recommendation by Joelle. I started shopping here about a month ago or so. Awesome place. Staff is very friendly, you can also pick up a salad created by you in their salad bar. They also have soups, and different olive oils and balsamic glazes which is awesome. I love their selections of baba foods and bitchin sauce. The only downfall is I have gone a couple of times for more and they don't get much stock for baba foods especially the 3 layers one which is my favorite. I buy my yogurt there, cauliflower pizza, hummus, pita chips and organic unsweetened apple sauce. All real good. Don't forget your reusable bags. :) Happy yelping mis amigos read more

I stopped by last night to grab ingredients for a last minute dinner idea. It was cold and rainy so I thought I'd make some potato soup. I came here for the potatoes, green onions, cheese and sourdough bread bowls. Unfortunately, they ran out of the bread bowls because everyone had the same idea as me! At first, I searched the entire place for the bread bowls before I decided to ask for help. I saw two associates talking and asked. As one of them pointed off into the distance and proceeded to describe where they are kept, the other saw my confused face and told me that he was heading over there so he'd just show me - cool! We get there, and there aren't any there. He then proceeds to take me to every other spot in the store that they keep them at and after looking hi and low, he apologized and told me they must be out. I wish I remembered the guy's name that helped me. He tried so hard to find me those bread bowls... and he looked until he exhausted all options. My interaction with the person at the register was even nice. Baron's has always had extremely exceptional customer service and I commend them for that! Aside from customer service, the products,food, produce and everything else they carry are wonderful. Always great quality items here and much of their things are organic. The store is kept very clean and organized. It's a small grocery store, but they have a lot to offer. I will definitely continue shopping here! read more

I love this store! Produce is always priced reasonably. When I compare this store to others, like Stater Bros, Winco, Von's, Sam's club, and Costco, it make perfect sense to shop here for fresh produce. There's an amazing salad bar that's also reasonable. Also, a gluten free section that has things I can't find at other stores. I especially travel across town to this store for their exclusive flavor infused olive oils. My favorite is the garlic infused. $10 a bottle but worth every penny. Customer service is top notch. Five stores for this Murrieta location. I love Baron's! 9/17/17 I purchased a rotisserie chicken from Baron's yesterday. I do not recommend this chicken as it is dry and waaaaaayyyy over cooked. There is no taste whatsoever. I prefer Costco or Sam's club rotisserie. If you like dry, chunk white tuna in water, you will like Baron's dry chicken. That's what I've equated it to. I've a huge Baron's Market fan and have been going to the one in Temecula and Wildomar for years, so it's no surprise I got excited when hearing they opened one in Murrieta. I feel like they're getting closer and closer to my house! *crossing fingers for another one!* I came here for the first time the other day and I loved how it had a Von's Supermarket feel without the prices. It's very clean and the selections of organic produce is larger than the one in Wildomar, which makes me very happy! The station that blew me away is that they have an Olive oil/vinaigrette station!! There was an associate there with bread for us to taste and sample the oils and vinaigrette, they were all amazing! Temecula Olive Oil Company, be nervous because their oils are amazing as well! I ended up buying a bottle of rosemary olive oil and an orange/mango/passionfruit balsamic vinaigrette. There's a station for soups and sandwiches like the one in Wildomar, but it's might more brighter, noticeable and inviting due to the lighting. This will now be my regular stop on my way home. I usually dont even go into Barons unless I need something specific. This time it wa for some cash back. I walked through looked at some price tags and got the sticker shock as usual. Luckily I went to the back and saw their prepared food section. Their selection here has always been very good and I think prices are actually fair for the quality of the product. One item that really hit the spot was the Dolmas. The filling was good had the right amount of vinegar to cut through the grape leaves and a small hint of mint. They were very good. They have a delightful salad bar, with almost as many sides as Whole foods! All the veggies are fresh and crisp. One of my other favorites was the soup bar.
