The club is beautiful and well maintained. The service from the pro shop to the club house was excellent. Members and staff were very friendly and created an inviting atmosphere. In Burlington, Vermont - the Burlington Country Club is the best value (while still considering atmosphere) up there. It's less than half the cost of most other venues and they cater in-house. They've got a great, wide, covered terrace that works great for formals in the rain (I've had to do it more than once). The food is wedding food but I've had much, much worse. The staff is very efficient and the catering manager is on the ball. For an urban, indoor environment it's pretty great.

Tee boxes 10, Greens 10, Fairways 8 ( little brown but still not bad, Also not all the fairways where brown neither.) Bunkers 6 ( had some rocks and where thin ), Price 10, pace 10, layout and scenery 10... Cottage 120 on 4th Fairway was fantastic, now I say fantastic because I went there knowing this wasn't a Marriott but a camping cottage. Our views of Lake Champlain where amazing and of the golf course as well. Now we did have some ant issues and Randy the Raccoon came to visit us by the fire looking for food ( he wasn't afraid of us neither.) Now why they get a 5 star review from me????? CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! This was by far the nicest group of people I have ever meet at a resort (Paul, Gary and everyone else that works there.) I believe those skills have been lost over the years but not here. The ant issue was resolved immediately and any other issue we may have had was as well. So in a nutshell, great golf, great price and a great place to relax and enjoy a fire and a cocktail.

Pristine Nine measuring 1,519 yards winds up the trio of courses, offering a little slice of golf heaven with seven par 3's and two par 4's. By the second day, just needed a little pitch and putt before the long drive back home. This was the perfect place to practice your swings. A really wonderful location and well worth the visit.

The roughs are not as comparable as some of the fancier more expensive courses around. The greens are good, some of which are very tricky. They can be a bit inconsistent though depending on the sun with some being very fast and some being very slow. The sand traps are in pretty good shape and overall the course has enough interest to play repeatedly as a member or non-member. Speaking of membership, it's one of the more affordable ones around. For seniors who use the senior tees, the course is quite playable. But if you want longer distance, for the majority of the holes, if you play from the back tees the distance should more than suffice. Fairways are in excellent shape with a dearth of water hazards (maybe 3 on the hole course). Water is less of a challenge than sand but there are some elevation changes to keep things interesting. The back 9 has a little more variety and is a little more challenging. Customer service is generally good but can vary. Clubhouse is fairly basic but has a decent choice of food. This is strictly a golf club, not a country club with pools and tennis courts and the prices reflect this. All in all, the course doesn't beat you up and you can go away with a sense of playing a good round of golf even if you aren't familiar with it. I would certainly recommend this course as a very solid public course. Lastly, their updated practice facilities are very good (as good as any you'll find around) and the ball machine with the tracker technology is pretty fun if you are looking to hit a few at the range.
