On the way in we asked the dear managing the door situation if they were going to be still serving food, just to make sure. He highly recommended the crunch wrap and the loaded nachos. I am not vegan and I really am not a fan of fake meat - I love a well made veggie or mushroom burger and love vegan food... I decided to go with the crunch wrap (I do love the Taco Bell version) plus chips and salsa plus a side of guacamole. My friend is a vegan, so she's always in heaven when we go to a place that is plant based (their menu is 100% plant based). She ordered the crunchwrap and the loaded fries. You half-expect a record scratch when you open the door. You'd be lucky not to feel like you might get punched on the way in, even if that fear turns out to be mostly theater. Once you get past that outer layer, though, you realize it's less dangerous than it looks and more just deeply, unapologetically itself. There's a core group of regulars who seem permanently stationed at the bar, carrying most of the conversation, but if you're there to watch a game, hang with friends, and keep to your own lane, it works perfectly. And then there are the wings. Honestly, the best chicken wings I've ever had. No exaggeration. No ironic qualifiers. They're the reason I keep coming back, the kind of food that lingers in your brain long after you've left. I think about them more often than I'd like to admit.
