Attorney Lennon advised accepting less money than was ordered by the court, so another attorney was contracted and was able to negotiate the settlement originally sought. At one point Attorney Lennon didn't understand my requests and conveyed this to opposing counsel instead of working to align better with what was explained to her in multiple emails. I would not recommend hiring an attorney who tells opposing counsel that she's "confused" and advises her clients to accept less money than the court has awarded. When I decided on new counsel, Attorney Lennon refunded the majority of her fee.

Before I retained them, I specifically asked about the cost, and I was told it would not exceed $7,000. However, despite the case being simple and not even concluded yet, they issued an invoice of $15,000 -- more than double the amount they originally estimated. Because of this excessive and unexpected billing, I had no choice but to terminate their services. The lack of transparency and disregard for their own estimate is extremely disappointing. If you ever encounter unfair billing practices like this, remember that you can file a complaint directly with the State Bar of Georgia
