I would not recommend anyone engage with this firm thanks to Elaine Levine. She was incredibly rude…read moreand disrespectful with me as I tried to share with her a sensitive legal matter regarding a deceased family member. She repeatedly cut me off as I was talking, asking questions with roughness which I would have shared if she just let me talk. I never even got to state my request. She was so insensitive and I can't believe this is someone that works in family law.

PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS OF ELAINE LEVINE TO SAVE YOURSELF ANGUISH, TIME AND MONEY…read more Please take the time to read this to save yourself from needing to pay again for a different attorney. As a doctor speaking, I rarely give negative reviews to other professionals. In researching an attorney to prepare our wills and trusts, I did read the one negative review for this attorney prior to hiring her and brushed it over. It ended up being a perfect synopsis of our time with Elaine. (Most positive reviews for this firm are for her partner, whom we never met). Let me explain our circumstances. We hired Elaine Levine to prepare trusts and wills for out family. Initially, Elaine was courteous and did exactly what she said she would do. She was friendly, supportive and very easy to reach. She responded well to our numerous questions in a timely and efficient/effective manner. UNTIL she wasn't present for the final signing and we were rushed through the process. Witnesses were present and signed each document PRIOR to any reviews or signatures on our part as they were "in a hurry". We raised objections but they were quickly dismissed. We asked for detailed explainations of each document we were signing and felt very rushed. The final wills were never presented for review. We were told by the person filling in (?who she was, she introduced herself once but we never got a clear understanding, ? think she was some kind of assistant) near the conclusion of the meeting that she was in a hurry and needed to go to pick up her kids! Elaine was sick, but had been sick over a week. The practice clearly had time to notify us to reschedule. All for naught; we wasted $3,500 on USELESS wills and trusts that need to be redone by a special needs attorney for our son's special needs trust. Elaine was very well aware that we needed a special needs trust from the beginning and she (copiously) informed us she was NOT a special needs attorney. However, we had no idea of the implications of this (special needs attorney should always be seen FIRST to avoid wasting your time and money). We felt abandoned after our final meeting and then the relationship with Elaine turned hostile when we confronted her with the situation regarding her having to have KNOWN that the special needs trusts need to be done FIRST. Despite our reaching out regarding changes of beneficiaries not going througg and a request to review a brief 2 paragraph letter to family explaining what the documents were, we were rudely rebuffed by Elaine that her services had been concluded. The percentages of distribution to our non-special needs children in the conduit trust was INCORRECT. When we tried to rectify this, we were told in no uncertain terms that our relationship was now "concluded" (ie, payment had been received, I assume) - leaving us with INCORRECT, useless documents. Would definately NOT RECOMMEND Elaine Levine!!!! I should add that a while after everything was completed (we thought), an associate in her office reviewed our file and reached out to say a part of the paperwork was never received. This paperwork was mailed to us and when I called back for further instructions, Elaine got one the phone and was exceptionally rude, stating that since she read my review on line and knew how I felt about her, she wouldn't be helping us any longer and that we could just keep the unsigned paperwork her office sent. She made it clear that she had NO INTENTION of completing our file. She made sure all communication thereafter was terminated. HORRIBLE PROFESSIONALISM!!!!!!! What a waste of time and money!!!! Sickening.

OVERBILLED AND WAY UNDERSERVED!!…read more The consultation with Zazie went amazingly well, she gets the one star here. Zazie was very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. I was referred to Emily Harris as an attorney, and she agreed to take the case on a $6000 retainer. With one additional phone call, one day showing up in court and travel time, she spent over $7000. It was almost $300 additional to just "close the case", which was billed 5 days AFTER I receive an email that the case was closed. Emily Harris showed up to court with nothing more than a purse and a pair of pants with a hole right on the seam of the back. She didn't suggest we even move to a private area to talk more about strategy, but talked openly in the hall where everyone could hear, not that she said much, other than it was open and shut and we should win and be done quickly. Then she went off to talk to others, and when she came back, she did a lot of shrugging, wouldn't even present my side of the story, just suggested that "it's not going to go your way" and to sign away rights. I feel like the fees are exorbitant, the service at the office end is adequate, but this particular lawyer couldn't have cared less, and was unprofessional in appearance, performance and attitude.

Do not waste your money here!!!…read more This was the worst legal representation I have ever experienced. I hired Attorney Randy Sabatini on a $3500 retainer, who appeared only once for my court hearing and came with nothing more than a single sheet of paper. During the hearing, he admitted he had not reviewed the documents I sent to the firm. The opposing counsel came with boxes and boxes of documents. Despite sending lots of documents to the firm with evidence to prove my case, Randy showed up completely unprepared to represent me. This firm claimed my retainer was used up to prepare for the same hearing Randy admitted he was unprepared for. Make this make sense!!! I wasted thousands of dollars in legal fees, I am now being charged an additional $5,689.30 on top of what they claim is interest on a balance less than $2,900. To this day, I still do not understand the basis for many of these charges, especially considering the minimal work performed and the lack of meaningful representation. The firm has also placed a lien on my property and continues sending monthly bills after making threats regarding payment. Their tactics have been aggressive, abusive, and focused more on extracting money than advocating for their client. I wish their aggressiveness in getting money out of folks was like this court !! I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before hiring this firm. I am fighting back by submitting a complaint to the State bar!
