I went in and you get scanned as well as your purse or bag. You then need to provide your driver's license, so they can generate a visitor's pass. After that I headed to the Tax office, where I got a number. Within a few minutes a nice guy came and helped me with my request. He was patient, professional and explained every detail very clearly. Some people may not see the Town Hall as a business, but it is…read more North Providence has their own traffic tribunal if you need to dispute a ticket or pay a fee. It's only held about twice a month, and it's very different than RITT if you've been there. I have had the disfortunte of going to both. RITT is very formal, while NPTH is very... well, informal as far as these things go. Expect to pay your ticket, along with court fees, as the judge does not often waive any. Remember, North Providence has their own court, there's probably a reason for that. As far as paying for your fees/tickets/etc, please be advised, there is a 7.50$ fee if you pay via credit card. They don't accept cash. Checks are your friends. Get there early, you'll get better parking that way.

There are mail slots for letters/flats and packages in the lobby as well as vending machines for postage. A customer service office is off the lobby as well. They're saying that they made a mistake and miss calculated my earnings and accidentally overpaid me around $300 a month in cash assistance and that I should have only qualified for $12 a month. I brought them all the paperwork they needed and updated them on my job and my hours and they have consistently screwed me over. why would I go through the trouble of signing up for cash assistance and food stamps if I was only going to be getting 12 dollars a month. also every time I go there I have to wait in line for three or four hours sometimes with my young son and it can get very exhausting and frustrating and you don't even end up getting the help you need. I am a single mom.I am working as hard as I can to provide for my son.they wrote in the letter that it was their fault. that they miscalculated it and overpaid me. anybody have any suggestions on what I should do,I really do not have the money to pay that back and if I did not have that $300 a month I wouldn't have made it through the winter.
