We listed our home knowing that it was going to be a tough market to try and have a contingent sale, but they pulled it off. They kept clear lines of communication so we would know when our home was being shown as well as every step that was needed in the process. They worked with our buyer and the buyer's agent to keep everyone settled and focused while we were on the hunt for a home. Tom made himself available every time we asked to see a listing. As a team, they were a key reason that we were the successful offer on the home we ultimately purchased. The Telfords have many years of experience in the industry and the sellers agent worked in the same office with a business contact fimiliar with Tom and Nancy. I was disappointed with the efforts from Telford Real Estate team to find buyers for our home. We…read moremeet with the Telford's approximately three weeks prior to listing our home to get an evaluation of the Claremont market, get a feel for a reasonable sale price based on current market conditions, and to get advice on any improvements needed for our home prior to listing. The Telford's informed us that Claremont was still considered a high demand market with limited inventory and if we listed our home slightly below market value we would likely get lots of interest and multiple offers. We followed their advice, made the necessary improvements, set our asking price slightly below the suggested market value, and kept our home in top condition and available for viewing. We only got three buyers to look at our home (all from other agents). The Telford's never brought a single client to view our home. We were lucky to get a single offer but we had to settle for $30K below our asking price. The Telford's efforts to find us buyers appeared to us to just put a "for Sale" sign in the front yard and list the house on various real estate websites. The Telford's did do an adequate job of taking photos, writing a description for the listing, setting up escrow, working with the buyer agent, and supporting the home inspection and buyer walkthrough's. I felt that the Telford's just did the bare minimum effort to sell our home, the easy path for them, not working to get us the best deal, while collecting a $29K commission on the sale of our home. I was not impressed with the efforts from these folks.

Unprofessional, Dishonest, and Disrespectful -- Think Twice Before Working with Brian…read more I rarely leave negative reviews -- this is only the third one I've written in my life -- but my experience with Brian was so unprofessional and unsettling that I feel compelled to warn others. Brian was the selling agent for the condo my husband and I purchased. From the start, he tried to pressure us into using a loan officer he personally knew, even after we made it clear we had already chosen a trusted loan officer with a better rate and clear communication. Despite our choice being our legal right as buyers, he continued to push his contact. Shockingly, he even sent our agent a notice to perform -- essentially trying to force our hand -- and then made it clear that he would only allow an extension if we used his loan officer. Thankfully, our own loan officer successfully closed the deal. But the entire process was made unnecessarily stressful due to Brian's manipulative tactics. His lack of professionalism didn't stop there. He was consistently unresponsive throughout the buying process, ignoring multiple questions from our agent -- especially near and after closing -- about necessary home repairs identified during inspection. The final straw came after closing: Brian threw our keys on the ground outside our home, took a photo of them, and texted it to our agent instead of handing them off properly. He never clarified which key was for what, and never spoke to us directly. Not only is that incredibly disrespectful, but it's also a security concern. I've worked with many professionals during this process, most of whom were communicative, transparent, and respectful -- Brian was none of those things. His behavior was dishonest, coercive, and deeply unprofessional. If you value integrity, communication, and basic respect, think twice before working with Brian.
