AITA!!! We hired…read moreLuis to do our wedding photography last November 23', we had hired him prior to do our nieces Quince so we knew he was on time and worked hard We waited 2 months after our wedding before reaching out for our pictures, he stated that he was almost done with them, to give him til the end of the week, then a few more days, then he got sick. My wife and I are all about family and we understand that things in life happen. We had no rush to get our photos; around February we messaged again, and then around April-May he began posting on his IG, he seems better so we gave him more time, around July we reached out and no response, my wife and I were busy moving and having our life events, so again, no rush. LATE SEPTEMBER COMES and my wife reached out AGAIN, but this time she requested to have a talk about a partial refund, he ignored my wife's email for about a week and responded with something along the lines of "I had already sent you the link, your pictures were done a while back"; my wife and I checked her email, spam folder, text messages and missed calls....NOTHING! He used this email as a reason to not look bad, and to top it off, he sent us over 1,200 pictures, a lot, right? We liked about 5 pictures of us and about 12 of the whole 8+ hour wedding. Most of the photos are repeats. Imagine 1 picture, with an average of 5-7 duplicates and perhaps different filters on them. He had what appeared to be the same picture almost 20x with different filters. I thought we were clear on the pictures we wanted but I guess we weren't because: 1) he didn't capture details from our wedding that we had asked for, like our whole wedding cake, sweethearts table, or handmade chandeliers that a friend gifted us for decorations, 2) the wedding cake and the toppers weren't fully visible, either the cake or the toppers are blurry, not 1 picture shows both just right. This was the same for other wedding details, like our wedding favors. 3) he captured maybe 2-3 events where we were happy to see our guests having fun, we loved those pictures, but the rest seems like our wedding had no "life" in it, which is difficult for a Mexican wedding of 200+ people to not have 4) our church! 1 thing we loved about our church were the colors that the sun rays give off once they hit these beautiful stained glass windows. Idk if he had the contrast too high or if it was during his editing, but there was no color in them! (Which should have been captured because people complemented our church, and I clearly remember seeing the beautiful green, yellow, blue, red light shining through these windows. There were a handful of pictures where he did capture a bit of the red, weren't great, but were nicer) 5) most of our pictures were high in contrast, had no color (we got married at an olive ranch, beautiful green trees, like 2 show the greenery, other than that, they're too bright! 6) he didn't capture a good close up of our first kiss at the church. 7) my wife had apparently insisted on him and made sure he understood that she wanted my first look reaction, which he later tried to stage. I'm not gonna lie, we were probably difficult to work with, he stayed a lot longer than he should've, but I'd like to believe we treated him kindly and fairly. Luis can work a lot better with posed photos, like with graduation shoots, but I would NOT recommend him for candids, weddings, or any big important events that are shot live. We feel like we were his guinea pigs for this wedding shoot. And I have texted, called and emailed him VARIOUS TIMES! Even through social media, IG, and he has not tried to get a hold of us. He has been ignoring us for a long time. I doubt we'll be able to get any type of refund or fixed photos, and we still had our late engagement shoot with him (as part of the package we paid for), but I doubt it'll happen because he does not respond. I wish I didn't have to leave a bad review, I hate to do this, since we got along well the day of, but we could've worked something out. He ROBBED us of some dear memories, I wish that could be an exaggeration, but unfortunately I suffer from a slight memory loss (from a TBI) where I must see proof to remember some things. This was one of the absolute worst experiences that I've had with a photo shoot. I will describe…read morethe situation from the beginning. I wanted a fun photoshoot with an abundance of flowers. I reached out to her and she assured me that she understood my vision and would be able to deliver. I paid (and even tipped, regrettably) prior to the shoot, per her policy. During our initial conversation, I stated that I wanted a lot of flowers and I would buy them from a local flower shop. Kyra insisted that I would not need to purchase flowers because the photoshoot was after Mother's day and a wedding and she would be able to get them for free. I took her word for it and did not make arrangements. I tried calling her on several occasions leading up to the photoshoot but she did not answer my calls. I began to get worried, but I figured it was because she was busy. The night before the photo shoot, she told me she could not secure any flowers....the night before the photoshoot. When I suggested changing the date of the shoot to allow me to make alternative arrangements, she declined. I did not want to make a fuss, so I scrambled and found a place where I could buy several bouquets. So, on the day of the shoot, she began taping the flowers that I bought to the wall. She said that we only needed to tape a few because she would photoshop the tape out and cover the wall with the flowers via photoshop. I waited over three weeks for the photos. When I inquired about when I would receive them, she stated that she was sick and had to send them to a company to be edited. About two days later, I received the photos. Wow. They were completely unedited - the flowers did not cover the entire wall, the tape was not edited out of the photos from the flowers, and my actual face/appearance had no retouching. I was so confused. I revisited the contract and it explicitly stated "40 Fully Retouched Images." None were retouched. She tried to cover herself by lying in an email, stating that she only does "small retouches"/ contrary to the contract. So, she offered a few insufficient options to make an attempt to rectify the situation - she said I can 1. pay more money for each image to be edited (even though the contract states fully retouched images) 2. Use her standard retouching? 3. a 50% refund with no images. I even tried to make it easier on her and offered to obtain the raw images and I would pay an actual professional to edit them. She stated that she does not allow her images to be edited by others, which is contrary to the fact that she sent my photos to be edited by another professional, who did not understand the assignment. So, after all of that - I had to wait yet another 2 weeks for subpar images. To add salt to the wound, she even had the nerve to use MY image on her email marketing campaign. I highly recommend looking elsewhere - because you will not receive images according to your vision, there will be a lack of communication, and you will wait 3+ weeks for unedited images.

Adi is a miracle worker. I am a photographer but was a little anxious, given my son is strong willed and already refused to do photos once. Adi explained how she does it and was very flexible and patient with my son. We took a few photos and then took a little break. My son then came back a little later and took some more photos. By now he was putting his feet where he was supposed to and listening to Adi's instructions. Not even 24 hours later my son's photos were ready and I fell in love. What started as a photographer-client relationship quickly became a genuine friendship, and by the time our wedding arrived, it felt like Jeff was one of our friends who just happened to be there capturing every special moment. Jeff was with us for two full days, covering every part of our wedding celebrations, and he was incredible from start to finish. On Day 1, he captured our afternoon Indian Haldi ceremony at Sachin's sister's house before joining us that evening for our Welcome Party, Mendi and Henna celebrations. He made everyone feel comfortable, and he somehow managed to capture all the little moments, emotions, laughter and craziness that made the evening so special. Then came Day 2, which was the incredibly full wedding day. Jeff was there early to capture pre-ceremony photos. He then captured our multicultural wedding ceremony, followed by personal photographs, whilst somehow having time to simultaneously capture our guests throughout the cocktail hour; Jeff was with us throughout the reception into the night. Despite how much was happening over the two days, Jeff was always very calm, professional, energetic and completely on top of everything. One of the things that impressed us most was how brilliantly Jeff worked with everyone else involved in our wedding. He was in perfect sync with our videographer and wedding planner, and the three of them worked together seamlessly. He also coordinated incredibly well with the team at El Prado Hotel in Palo Alto, making sure everything ran smoothly without ever making us feel like we had anything to worry about. But beyond his incredible photography and professionalism, what really stood out was Jeff himself. Our family and friends absolutely loved him. He has such a wonderful personality and was able to blend into the celebrations while still being incredibly attentive to what needed to be captured. He made people laugh, put everyone at ease and somehow managed to be everywhere he needed to be without ever feeling intrusive. He didn't just photograph our wedding -- he became part of it.
