The WORST circuit HIIT workout I have ever been to. If the experience was as nice as the website makes it out to be, it would have been perfect. My first time, so I show up early, check in and let them know that I have never been there before thinking maybe they would be like oh great, let me explain how it works and show you around. Nope. I just get ok with a smile. So I say I have no idea where anything is(bathrooms, showers, cubbies) and the girl just said oh someone will show you, but that never happened. Then the one class empties out and the new class is invited in....no idea still where anything is and so I had to carry my stuff back and forth around the room. When the class was invited in I had to introduce myself as a new comer, but there were no efforts made to show me where the cubbies or lockers were and was told she simply cannot give me any one on one attention to show me how to do the exercises and to just listen, and if she sees I'm doing something wrong she will let me know. I didn't ask her to give me special time, it was something she just felt she needed to let me know I guess. I was all over the place trying to figure out what was going on and she never approached once. She wasn't rude or anything, just matter of fact. The weight floor is so small that you have to make sure you're in the right spot of your assigned spot to avoid hitting the person next you. The instruction was very vague. I had to look around and over people to see what she was doing. If I didn't already know the names of the exercises, I literally would have no idea what she was talking about or if I was even doing them correctly! All of a sudden we're on to the next exercise, no rep counts very chaotic. The beat drop? I couldn't even say honestly what music was even playing because I had to concentrate on trying to see what she was attempting to demonstrate. There are no workbenches, just a bunch of stacked up steps which just do not cut it. The workout seems completely off the cuff. At one point the instructor decided to share with the whole class how incredibly disgusting the room smelled like BO and how rude it was, that whoever it was needed to get that issue in check. If they want to smell like that for their personal trainer that was ok but not for there. Really? I really didn't notice it that much until she pointed it out, and it's a gym where people are working their butts off so it's a little expected. I'm sure that some people no matter how clean or how much deodorant they use just can't help it. It was extremely awkward. I felt like I was back in school. It took so much away from the class. Perhaps wait til the end of the class. $45 to walk in! No freebie for the first timer at that location because it's "Amagansett". Even though I thought the class was awful, I would definitely have given it a second chance if there was a first timer discount. So incredibly turned off. 45 bucks and nearly and hour of my life I'll never get back. The only single reason I gave it one star was for the amazing, (false advertising ) website. I couldn't wait for it to end and when it did I felt so unsatisfied. Never again read more

I showed up early and nothing was explained no tour given. I had no idea where anything was (showers, bathrooms, cubbies). The floor room was so small I could barely do the workout without bumping into to person next to me. The instructor was super vague with the instruction and I never knew when it was going to happen. All of a sudden we're doing another move. No rep counts, very chaotic. If I didn't already know what the moves were by name and proper positioning I would have been so out of my element I may have either hurt myself or walked out. Beat drop? I couldn't even say what the music was and make the workout fit because I was too busy trying to see around people in the packed and poorly lit room to watch and hear what the instructor was attempting to do. There are no benches! Just a bunch of stacked up steps that just didn't jive. I had to introduce myself as a new person as the whole class was entering the room. At one point the instructor felt like she needed to tell the whole room on her headset how bad the place smelled of BO, and how can anyone smell that bad, and how rude it was to everyone there, that if they want to smell like that for their personal trainer that's one thing, but to get it under control. I get the whole hygiene thing but maybe save it for the end of the class. It made the rest of the workout incredibly awkward and took more away from the already weird workout. Some people, even with load of deodorant have problems. I really didn't notice it too much until she pointed it out. Even still I wasn't gagging, it is a gym where people are working hard sooooo, settle down. I literally couldn't wait for it to be over! $45 for one class!!! What a waste, never again. I would have given it a second shot if the first class was a freebie, but I was told they don't do first timer freebies because it's "Amagansett". Really, come on Barry's. 45 bucks and and hour of my life I'll never get back. Never again. Maybe I'm just used to the HIIT gym I normally use. read more
