Friendly staff, Very convenient 24 hour access clean everything you need to get your work out in

No staff means a dirty gym, having to wait to use machines while guys talk on the phone more than working out. Equipment not checked regularly and people don't put things back. I re ent had a pretty bad injury at the gym and since I signed the intake form, signing over any and all rights? No help. Open 24 hours a day with staff mostly absent? Good luck read more

It has everything you could want in a gym. Wide selection of freeweights, machines in working order, everything kept clean and sanitary. Reasonably priced. Staff was helpful, especially a guy named Carsen who took the time to give me some great advice to improve my form. I see from a previous review that there was a question about squat racks; I can assure you there are squat racks there now. Things are hardly new, but as I said, they are clean and in working order, and a 45lb freeweight weighs the same whether it's brand new or not. read more

This past winter I developed painful arthritis on my right knee. My sports medicine doctor took x rays and recommended a knee replacement or regular cortisone shots - not happy with either option. Made appointment with Sarah Sirico with Fitness Advantage and suggested exercises to not only relieve the pain but will also strengthen the knee. I signed up for 6 months a little skeptical but kept at it every week (average of 3 times). After a month - the pain is totally gone and knee has never felt better - now 6 months later still no pain and added a few new muscles too! I'm nearly 70 years old and I owe Sarah a huge Thank You! I've been a member of several gyms over the past 10+ years and I can say without hesitation that Fitness Advantage, and in particular, owners Dan and Sarah, have been the most supportive of and invested in my own health that I've experienced anywhere. The gym provides all of the equipment you may want (admittedly not everything is brand new, but as a business owner myself on the North Fork, I understand that there must be a balance, especially in order to keep membership fees fair, which I believe they are), but perhaps more importantly is the attention the owners themselves give to their members when asked to help them achieve fitness goals. If you're visiting the area and just looking for a place to work out, you won't be disappointed. And if you're local and looking to stay healthy, I highly recommend joining this gym. read more

Terrible Gym, all of the equipment is very outdated and useless. The mats look like they have been around since the early 2000s and the owner has no intention of updating anything. They don't even have a squat rack. The owner said it was supposed to be put in early June but its late September and is yet to be seen. Memberships are also very expensive for the equipment that is available along with a very limited amount of classes. I have been a member for quite some time and the only reason I continue to go is because its the closest gym by far. I have also noticed that all of the previous personal trainers and employees have left and either opened their own place or work for other gyms. Only makes me wonder that the management is run very poorly, they cant seem to keep good employees, which is a shame on the owners/managers. The only good thing about this gym is that the employees are very kind and personable. read more
