They don't have many bathrooms so the line gets long after class but that provide towels and massage guns are available. We wipe down what we used after class so it's clean. There's strongman programming in the workouts a couple days a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays), which is pretty different and thrilling. After a couple of weeks here, we've done work with equipment like stones, sandbags, tires, sledgehammers and kegs. Not something you expect to see everywhere! I love the space and the big garage door. When it's open for some air or the light, it's so refreshing. So thankful that Dutch Kills is in the area.

While these quotes felt hackneyed and out of place at the gym, I welcomed the distraction. I'd rather think about the sort of quotes you see on dorm room posters than how close I am to passing out. Which is all to say, the class is hard, but you have someone literally yelling in your ear to keep going. Facilities are clean, there are self-locking lockers, and multiple bathrooms. The space is very clean, with just one exercise studio. The prices are comparable to other classes in the area. The packages don't have any expiration so there is no crazy rush to take the classes. I'm a woman in my late 60s & have always been fairly active, but got a bit lazy recently, so I decided if I want to get stronger & fitter as I age, then I need to make the effort...for me! I started with CrossFit Sunnyside just 2 weeks ago & from the friendly welcome on my initial visit for info from Mike the owner to my first few workouts I'm happy I did. Mike & Leo have guided me thus far & there is a genuinely friendly & professional atmosphere in the gym. Everyone is pulling for your success & adjustments can be made to suit your fitness level. I love the idea of the 1:1 for 5 sessions upfront, which helps show what to expect during the classes & assesses what my strengths & weaknesses are & therefore knowing those things I can work to better achieve my goals. Their prices are very reasonable for what's on offer & there are several programs to choose from. I have one more 1:1 session on Monday & looking forward to getting in the team sessions soon.
