Clean store and a friendly staff…read more Normally we only stop in Barstow for the outlet stores or for the Barstow Station tourist trap complex, but this time we were specifically looking for some of the new craft items that Dollar Tree has been carrying. Great selection of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and yes, Christmas items already on the shelves, too. I've always got to browse through the books, DVD's, and Blu-ray's to see if there is anything interesting. Terrific puzzle book selections for travelers. Bathroom was available for use and was very clean. Would definitely recommend a stop if you're in the area - even if only to stretch your legs and stock up on some snacks and drinks at a nice price.

I've been to every and any Dollar Tree in all cities that I happen to be in so I was ecstatic to find one in Barstow while I was out here for work. Turns out, they have almost the same stuff as they do the other stores I'v revisited. No needles but they had yarn and I ended up finding a pretty green color yarn that I will use to make vines. Store's pretty clean and quiet.

From the door I observed two co workers gathered around Russell appearing to be having a full on conversation. I preceded to look in the liquor section for some wine but to no avail. Planning on buying some ice I approached the checkout line where Russell was behind the register conversing with his friends. As a customer I felt slightly neglected as I waited and waited for them to wrap of their convo. After about 30 extra seconds of patiently waiting Russell turned in my direction without a smile or any eye contact towards me. Instead he decided to look away when I stated " do you have any wine"? Russell pointed towards the section I came from stating " if it's not over to there then we don't have it". I then kindly stated " does that mean you sell wine here or not"? Appearing agitated by my inquiry Russell again stated " if it's not over there then we don't have it". I thought hmmm that's rude. What kind of customer assistance is this? First I wasn't acknowledged with a simple hello upon entering the store , then while waiting to checkout I was totally ignored and had to wait until Russell decided to end his conversation with his co workers and help me as a customer. I requested a manager. Manager Loren appeared, and I was able to express the treatment of disregard exercised by Russell. Although it appeared to me as a conflict of interest and a slight lack of empathy shown by the manager I was at least able to report my complaint to her and which I was also able to obtain the cooperate office number. Overall I was dissatisfied with the customer service from this dollar general location. I hope it improves after this and I hope Russell gets spoken to as Loren stated she would. Peace to Michelle she was the only one who was kind and seem to have enjoyed doing her "job" helping people. Unfortunately It was not enough to suffice for RUSSELL's rude and discriminatory behavior towards me. This is a 0 in my book and I hope and pray that this situation is addressed. I shop here every week and my business is good every time. I didn't appreciate and also did not deserve to be treated as if I was less then any of Russell's friends whom I witnessed him being kind and pleasant to before our interaction. No customer who walks into this establishment deserves the treatment I received from Russell. For a second I thought wow does he not like the way I look? Did he not like my inquiry? Or did he plainly not feel like he working or assisting customers who spend their hard earned money with this establishment? All and all I was treated poorly by RUSSELL. Thank you for your time!

We used our gift card at Bath & Body. Yes we call that winning. There are no food vendors, a major downside for these Outlets, unless you count the vending machines along the sidewalks. Don't go here thinking there is food because there isn't. An epic shortcoming compared to Livermore, Tejon Ranch and Gilroy Outlets, especially with the desert climate. To be fair, there is food at shopping centers nearby, but not specifically at the Outlets. You heading here, you're here to shop the Outlet deals only. One Star - Very Disappointing Experience…read more Unfortunately, my family and I had a very unpleasant experience at Treasure House Mall, and we will not be returning. When we first entered the store, we were warmly greeted by a sweet elderly woman who welcomed us, held my daughter's tiny dog, and even encouraged us to explore downstairs. Based on that interaction, we believed having the small dog was not an issue. Shortly after, another staff member approached us. This staff member was very heavy set Hispanic man. He so very rudely told us we had to leave immediately because of the dog. His tone was smug, dismissive, and completely unprofessional, which was especially upsetting given that we had already been welcomed moments earlier. There was no polite explanation or attempt to resolve the situation--just an abrupt demand that we leave. This incident was even more frustrating because just a few days prior, the same employee told us we only had 15 minutes to shop when there was still over an hour left before closing. At this point, the repeated negative encounters with the same individual made us feel singled out and unwelcome. As Black customers who live in Barstow and have shopped here frequently, it's incredibly disappointing to feel treated this way. Whether intentional or not, the inconsistency and hostility in how we were handled came across as discriminatory and left a very bad impression. Treasure House Mall seriously needs to address this employee's behavior. Rudeness, inconsistency, and lack of professionalism drive loyal local customers away. Sadly, our family will no longer be supporting this business.

I would have loved to stay, shop, and drop some cash but it was 108° outside and these businesses do not have adequate cooling. It was absolutely awful. I usually take lots of photos in antique malls but I wasn't enjoying myself this time due to the discomfort, so I didn't take any. Me and another person in my party got lightheaded and left. It was a bummer. Like, how are you in the middle of the desert without proper air conditioning for your customers, let alone your poor employees?
