Why not have direct service all the time and schedule trains after hours, weekends and holidays based on ridership! Lots of folks who work in San Francisco take BART to Fremont and then get in their cars and drive home to their homes in the South Bay. Wake up and smell the roses BART! Despite being charged extremely high fares, BART looks like the Flintstones era transport compared to the NYC subway system, Toronto Metro, the London Underground and Singapore's Metro! Even the aged train system in Madrid, Spain is far better than BART! Shame, shame, shame, BART!!!!!! We live in the midst of Silicon Valley and Internet centric San Francisco and Bay Area! What a shame!!!! BART still uses 60 year old "technology" for its autopilot train operations! BART management and BOARD members must be imprisoned and made to discourage all of their pass and future pay (and pensions) and fringe benefits!!!! Give us our monies back you stole!!!!!!!!

*It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the dark…read more Under the moonlight you see a sight that almost stops your heart You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes You're paralyzed* Aaaaaah, the joy of catching the very last train out of San Francisco to the East Bay! The mad dash down the escalator and/or stairs, the pounding heart in your chest, the beads of sweat forming on your brow...the relief when you realize you have made it. Often Frank Chu is catching this same train but he is always way more cool about the whole situation that you could ever be. But this only the beginning of a memorable journey to come! There is still the transfer in the East Bay...there is still THE LAST TRAIN FROM RICHMOND TO FREMONT!!! *'Cause this is thriller, thriller night And no one's gonna save you from the beast about to strike You know it's thriller, thriller night You're fighting for life inside a killer, thriller tonight You hear a door slam and realize there's nowhere left to run You feel the cold hand and wonder if you'll ever see the sun You close your eyes and hope that this is just imagination But all the while you hear the creature creepin' up behind You're out of time* As you ride on either that Dublin/Pleasanton or Pittsburgh/Baypoint train an important decision lies before you. Do you transfer at the first possible stop or ride it out as long as possible? If you are on the Pittsburgh/Baypoint train the answer is easy, you transfer at 12th street. It's the Dublin/Pleasanton train where the choice becomes much more important. You can transfer as early as Lake Merritt or as late as Bay Fair. At Lake Merritt you get on early and have a train that is still somewhat sparsely populated, at Bay Fair you are joining a party that is already in full swing. Decisions...decisions... The cast of characters on the last train from Richmond to Fremont is truly a sight to behold. It's an odd mish mash of the homeless, miscreants, drunkards (yes I always fall into this category when I'm on this train), thugs, second shifters, and BART employees with the best stories ever. One thing that is a constant is the funk of this train. It's always funky, and I'm not talking about some Parliament type funk. I am talking about some stanky swamp ass funk. Maybe it's just a heightened sensitivity to odors in my inebriated state. I durno. I just always seem to catch a whiff of something that puts me on the verge of yacking on this train. One time I woke up to an almost completely empty train. Some dude who smelled like he crapped his pants had boarded and cleared the car out but my drunk ass was left behind because I had caught a little shuteye and missed my opportunity to make a run for it to another car. *'Cause this is thriller, thriller night There ain't no second chance against the thing with forty eyes You know it's thriller, thriller night You're fighting to survive inside a killer, thriller tonight Night creatures call The dead start to walk in their masquerade There's no escaping the jaws of the alien this time (they're open wide) This is the end of your life* Not everything or everyone is foul on this train though. I've heard some great stories from BART employees while taking this train home. Almost all of them have to do with someone ending up in the direct path of a speeding BART train. The one conversation that stands out the most was the discussion of how people bounce off of the front of the trains, especially those that jump from a platform at the last minute. Wait, did I say that not everything or everyone is foul on this train??? *They're out to get you, there's demons closing in on every side They will possess you unless you change the number on your dial Now is the time for you and I to cuddle close together All thru the night I'll save you from the terrors on the screen I'll make you see That it's a thriller, thriller night 'Cause I can thrill you more than any ghost who would dare to try Girl, this is thriller, thriller night So let me hold you tight and share a killer, diller, chiller Thriller here tonight* Then there is the long lonely walk back to your car in the parking lot. You have to check behind you five times just to make sure you really are alone and no one is sneaking up behind you with the intentions of violating your virgin pootshoot. You also don't want some homeless person following you all the way to your car, asking for money the whole way and then trying to spit shine your windshield. If you can make it to your car and safely lock yourself in, the only thing you have to worry about is knocking yourself out with the gas that you have been holding in all night that is now ready to be released into the ozone. That and the crack whore who wants to give you a BJ for $50 with her rashy foul mouth...

It is cheaper to take a Uber than to get a ticket for a DUI. I use it before I get BATSH%T drunk,…read morelike at a wine or bourbon tasting dinner event. What appeals to me most about Uber is that it prioritizes a passenger's safety. The app generates a one-time verification PIN that I give to the driver, and the app also permits me to opt-in for an audio recording of the entire driver/ passenger conversation. I also use Uber to buy ferry tickets to Fire Island. I click on "Account" "Transit Tickets" "Buy Ticket" and then select which part of the island I want to visit. This July 4, I plan to go to the annual Drag Queen Invasion of Fire Island, so I will be selecting "Pines". The app has a Hotel Reservation feature that is found on the "Services" tab, but I won't be staying in the Pines overnight. It will be a "day trip" thing. Overall, I have had nothing but positive experiences with Uber in all the years that I have been using the service. I am one satisfied customer.

(Which sometimes can be a complete freaking creepy weirdo) So I try my best not to use them unless I have to. Because you never know what kind of driver you're gonna get. To be honest I like a traditional taxi cab better than uber.
