I came to pick up my wife and her aunt from here when they took the BART from San Francisco to come back to Fremont. The price to take the BART is very reasonable which is why I can see people using it. It also helps when you don't have to sit in like over an hour traffic and then looking for parking. When I came to pick up my wife here, it was pretty easy. The station was not busy at all and my wife saw me after I pulled into the pickup area. There a lot of parking spots here too. I first went to the other side of the station where I was closer to the apartments but then had to go to the right spot to pick up my wife. read more

This is a clean and well-maintained BART station when I need to visit Fremont. Thanks for taking good care of this station, folks!

Haven't had a bad experience with this Bart station. It's very clean but you will notice a lot of commuters coming to and from Tesla since the factory is so close by. (Try to come before their start times 7 am and 7 pm.) The station may be confusing to someone getting off at this station for the first time. Going past the operator desk towards the bridge is for going to Tesla or neighboring housing. There's also a pretty nice sitting area at three bottom of that side which is like an amphitheater. The bridge itself is pretty cool for kids to look at the oncoming trains from above. The other side without the bridge is where shuttles and parking is. You can find EV parking as well but check if you need to pay for parking. Tesla owners looking to charge their car will need their own converter to use the EV charging. (11/13/24: I charged from 7 am- 5 pm and got about 80% charge for around $7). Looked like many people park their cars and have it charge while they're at work. Parking can be paid online and at the fare machine past the gates (before you board the bart). read more

Horrible station. Sometimes the escalators go one way other times they go another way. The bike locks are on the opposite side of the restroom. So if you lock your bikes behind the gate and you need to use the rest room you literally have to go down and up the other side of the gate platform. It's but 5 years old and the escalators are broken every month. Do not lock your bikes in the locks behind the gate and expect them to be safe. The attendance do not care. I attached pictures of the most audacious theft I have experienced. I recommend the Bike lockers at the entrance. read more

This is one of the newer BART stations in the area. It nice and clean . Parking is easy and available. It has plenty of handicap parking spaces and some of the parking spaces are under solar panel which is shaded. However, it's my second consecutive days taking Bart at this station, nobody is manning is station should anyone needs help. I had to spend a few minutes to learn how to buy a ticket, paying for parking and navigate my way down. Of course, this is not a big station, only has two platforms, it was easy if one can read the signs. read more

The Warm Springs BART Station was once a fun excursion to get out of the house and go to Fry's Electronics without driving on Highway 880 with a car. Now that it's shut down the only fun thing to do in the area really is go to Walmart. If you exit to the right, there is a mini shopping center with restaurants and so forth. But too far of a walk. Pacific Commons could be walkable but only if you're willing to put the effort in to do so. Not sure if any buses from this station go there. This station now has lots of housing built around the area, built quickly I might add and also could be handy for those who work in the area. But I can't help now think that Warm Springs is really a commuter oriented station. If you are looking to get your shopping game on now for electronics avoid this station and get off at Union City where they have a direct connection to Union Landing and its much cheaper to transfer by BART to BUS through a Union City Transit discount versus the same discount principle that AC Transit has. read more

BART rookie in the house! Given I have spent most of my life in the Bay Area, it's a surprise to many that I haven't spent a lot of time riding public transit. I think it's largely because I have never accepted job offers outside of the San Jose area. I'm not made for commuting. When I arrived to the Warm Springs BART station, it was easy to find the daily parking lot. The fee to park in a stall for the day (cannot exceed 24 hours) is $3. Remember your stall number because you pay inside the station. If you're a single user like me, you can purchase a ticket for a day use (one way or round trip) and there is a coded list on every station that advises you how much each trip would cost you. It took me three hours in commuting time to get from my front door to my final destination. I could've easily drove and avoided the headaches, crowds, and unpleasant odors of a BART train. read more

This station appears to be safe because it's new and shiny, but enjoy getting your catalytic converter stolen in the parking lot. Mine got hacked off, as well as the car's next to mine. Looks like the thieves got spooked after the second one, because they left tools behind. It was a Friday evening, probably around 10:30pm. My window was smashed at another BART station. The lack of parking safety, in addition to the pathetic payment system, the unreliable schedule, the overpaid and whiny union members, and the lazy, useless attendants, make me hate BART. read more

Yesterday was the first time using this BART system and it was amazing. In Hawaii, you may have heard but we're trying to make a rail system too. But we're having many many financial difficulties with funding. But enough of that, this BART system is something our Hawaii government should model after. The system was convenient and went to places that many people transport to. We decided to ride the BART because we were going to the Golden State Warriors game at the Oracle Arena. This would be our second time to the Oracle Arena. The first time we drove by car. It took a long time to get in so we decided to take the BART this time. It was very convenient. We parked for free at Warm Springs and took it all the way down to the arena. It took us straight there. It was wonderful. We didn't have to wait in a long traffic line to get our car in. Even after the game we just hopped back on the BART and it took us back to Warm Springs. Maybe one day our HART will be at the same level as the BART. read more

Date: 3/25/2017 Time: 11:40 AM 63° Sunny I had written a review of this BART Station last Saturday, but it disappeared. Thus, I can only go, memory wise, with what I had written. The Warm Springs/South Fremont officially opened for business on this date at 6:00 AM. It is the 46th station within the BART system. My husband and I decided to take BART from the Fruitvale Station to this beautiful, brand spanking new station. The configuration of this station is unique in design - modern and contemporary. It has a one island platform. There are two set of elevators leading up to the concourse level. The information booth is to the right. The unisex restrooms (2), the add-fare and purchasing tickets are to the left. There is also an audio-type stand to scan one's Clipper card. Escalators to and from the parking lot is under the structure with a glass panel of clear blue sky. A row of palm trees adorn both sides of the structure. This BART Station has over 2,000 parking spaces, 42 of them are charging stations for electric cars, per the station agent at the information booth. It has an area to store bicycles. Not too far and within walking distance is the bus connection. The street leading from the parking lot is Warm Springs Blvd. I did not see too many retail businesses nearby. It just seems like it is way out there in the boonies. However, with all the wide open space, I can only speculate this area would be undergoing redevelopment with housing, retail businesses, schools, high tech industries, etc., in mind. Drawback: The trains are going to be packed with commuters during the weekdays. Standing room only from this station all the way to the Embarcadero Station in SF. Get there early and for all the other stations heading in towards SF, be ready to stand or wait for the next train. read more

I've been anticipating this station's opening for a long time, so it's a bit surreal that it's finally open! I'm a daily weekday BART rider, and I went out of my way on a weekend to check out the station and take a ride. Even though I'll be back on Monday and every weekday for years to come. Maybe I'm a little too excited, but I'm not the only one. There were other people who were there to check out the station and take a ride to Fremont and back. Like everybody else is mentioning, it's a little strange that you have to take stairs to get up to the ticket/kiosk/gate level and then take stairs back down to get to the train level. But I guess that's more efficient than having elevated tracks? Anyway, I've been catching the train at Fremont for awhile now and Union City before that, and this station is definitely better than either of those. I suppose it's hard to be worse than the Fremont station, which is basically the low bar when it comes to station quality - it's dirty and small and in definite need of an upgrade. Union City station is pretty great after all the recent modernization, but it has one glaring problem - the platforms are on the outsides of the tracks rather than in the middle, making it hard to transfer trains or pick trains based on timing. But Warm Springs station is great in every regard - it's spacious, clean, and the platform is between the tracks. So in the context of a BART station, it's definitely a 5-star experience. I felt incredibly welcome. Rose went way out of her way to help me plan my travel, load a clipper card, and ensure I safely reached my train. I am on the train now and I feel overwhelmed with positive feelings and about BART in general. So glad the Warm Springs station opened up so I don't have to travel as far anymore to catch the Bart! I came here on the night of the opening day and the next morning, and I was totally blown away by how gorgeous and clean the station looked. Of course, I was here on opening day so the station will probably become less shiny and sparkly with use and age. Pros: -The station is well lit, so you feel decently safe at night and don't have to worry as much about creepy people loitering in the shadows like I've seen at other stations that are dim and have a bunch of burnt out or flickering lights. Cons: -In order to access the trains, you need to go up an escalator to the ticket booth area, then go back down to reach the platform. If you're running late, all these escalators and having to walk through the large station will definitely slow you down. -I personally didn't see any benches or seating areas on the platform, which would have been nice for resting my legs for longer waits. read more

I came here around 4pm on the Monday after this place opened on Saturday (3/25/17). There were a lot of close spots taken in one of the lots but still a lot of parking available. The parking spaces were small so I'd say a full-size sedan will be very snug. Park in the middle of the space if you can, but it seemed to me people think they just had one try to park. I don't get it. The bus station was on the way to the escalator leading to the BART platform. Everything was clean and the credit card slot on the ticket machine was very snug. On the covered platform, there were JBL speakers above the black area marked to show where the doors of the train were. That was random but now you know what speakers were used. I thought this station was good and I'm sure I'll be going to this more often until all of the stations closer to the San Jose airport eventually open. read more

Public transit is the way to go. In today's age, traffic is horrendous. People that are fed up know that there's no easy solution to resolve the congestion anytime soon. One way is rely on mass transit if you can. Bart is mostly reliable except for anomaly incidents that paralyzes the system. Warm Springs Bart feels A LOT safer than the other locations. But what can I say? They're still somewhat new. The station is spacious, modern, and still somewhat clean. There are many ticket/clipper booths to load up your card or purchase. To be fair, you still have ticket evaders and weirdos that make this place poo. I used this station a few times boarding at 615 in the morning and always rode their new trains. Anyways, this station in particular is very noob friendly to those who are new to public transportation. I highly recommend this station over Fremont Bart. read more

i am a daily bart user - i did not find a parking spot. So i parked in the $6 permit area, not the regular $3 pass parking. Then i Paid my train fare, Went to pay cash for parking in kiosk, only one kiosk was accepting cash at that point.. I was told to buy parking online for the day permit. Then you have to register or create an account where you have to spill your life history on select-a-spot! So i paid for $6 parking online and then i had to get a print out to display on dash! This is the part that absolutely beats me. Get a print out??????? Really???? Once you're already here???? Did you just see how I towed my own print, copy, fax machine behind my car for just this purpose ! So i went to fedex store for prints; system down. Then i went to ups store, it worked. I have already paid $18 to bart entering and exiting turnstiles figuring out this confusing system. Now i am On my way to sf and will pay another $14 for the round trip fare today. It took me 1 hr to figure this out- 1 hour!!! Why is bart so backward in 2020. Even in India its way simpler to pay for parking. Its JUST PARKING. Noone is living there for free guys. Why make it so difficult to find a parking spot. Gawd - absolutely horrible system- And beat this, you have to do all of this and get here before 10 AM. And why dont bart trains have heating ? Its so cold in the winter morning trains all the way to SF ! Bart will remind you the system is actually designed for 200'yrs from now when there are no trains and everyone is a humanoid with wheels on their ankles that can hook up to the bart tracks themselves and zip down to SF while holding a split for 1 hr. This is not a rant. Bart management should be embarassed that it deployed such a system for its PAYING CUSTOMERS. Its not free. Its an absolute shame. read more

So, the new and shiny Warm Springs BART Station finally opened, albeit a tad late and millions of dollars later. I've been commuting from the Fremont Station for several years, so having a shorter commute is a major plus. There appears to be a good amount of surface parking, but we'll see how long that lasts? There are more turnstiles which should help with congestion, the platforms are more spacious and it's solar powered. Having to go up an escalator, go through the turnstiles and back down to the trains is a bit strange, but Warm Springs doesn't have elevated tracks. The parking stalls are perpendicular versus the angled parking spaces at Fremont Station, so I expect my car to get dinged more than ever before. The stalls also appear smaller as well. You also lose connectivity as you go under Lake Elizabeth, which is an annoyance. As with all things new and shiny, everything seems to be working fine. Time will tell how long this station will keep it's new appearance. read more

Update 7/11/2017: I wrote a letter to BART regarding the bathrooms and lack of signage and he sent me photos of the cleaned bathroom. He also mentioned and I'll post what he wrote. Thank you for your letter regarding the maintenance of BART's Warm Springs Station. Let me begin by apologizing for your experience and stating that BART shares your frustration. With that said, we take full responsibility for the maintenance of all our transit stations. 1. In regards to your request for more signage directing patrons to parking machines, our Customer Access Coordinator has placed two barricades in the concourse area that direct riders to the machines to pay for parking. 2. The reality of BART's cleanliness situation is that we are dealing with a transient issue system wide. While we believe that continuous cleaning is the solution to the problem, we do not have resources available to accomplish that level of maintenance while running revenue service. Recent budget cuts have reduced crews size and availability further. I regret how some of our customers may treat our restroom facilities. I am aware as this is continually dealt with by our system service personnel on a daily basis. I have attached photos of the restroom that was deep cleaned this morning. The restroom that is out of service is due to continuous vandalism of the bathroom door lock. The lock is awaiting a part that is on order. This restroom was taken out of service to prevent patrons from accidentally locking themselves in. We share your frustration and yearn to improve the rider experience for all our riders. Your words are truth and we acknowledge the issues that you have shared. Need to improve! 1- Lack of signage on where to pay for parking. Only one sign showing where to pay and it was located after you enter the gates. It was hard to find as it was 15 feet high and couldn't be seen until one is looking at the pay stations. . Lack of good signage. 2- On March 27, 2017 Warm Springs/South Fremont station opened. I used the bathroom at this station a few months ago and it was dirty. Today, July 9, 2017 I used the bathroom and noticed it was filthy disgustingly dirty and noticed pink fungus growing on the toilet seat, and on the white caulking. This sink was gross as well. Adding to the mess, one bathroom was already out of service. Seriously, not even 6 months have gone by and a bathroom is already OUT OF SERVICE. Unbelievable! Why does BART seem to lack in cleanliness? Other than that, the trains were on-time and we made our connection to SF at the Bay Fair station. Japan, London, Paris, Rome, Prague all have spotless bathrooms and very clean subways, but for some reason SF Bay Area transit systems are all filthy and dirty with garbage. Warm Springs BART feels safer than other stations. I think the wide open parking spaces and the location just leads it to the "safety." I was able to find parking easily even on a weekday after morning rush but beware, add some time to walk to the station and there's an escalator/stairs up to the actual payment area then back down another set of escalators/stairs to the platform. They also have a Clipper Card station to refill your card which is convenient! Since this is the closest station to us (for now), it's a nice option to have when we want to escape driving to the city. read more

My friends and I went here to take the train to the Oracle Arena for the Millennium Tour! This BART station is one of the newer stops and it is beautiful! You can clearly tell that it is brand spankin' new. Shout out to whoever designed this place because it looks wonderful! Way more cleaner and modern looking than most BART stations. Too big, too open and because of this wide, open space feel, today while it's storming, so wet and dangerous. Many areas are potential slip and slide scenarios. In the summer time, it's okay. Too much waste. Too ostentatious. There is no need for so many elevators. This is the end of the line now, so the zombies on the train end up here and spend the night outside or in the vicinity. Hallé, no more going up to that weird layout Fremont Station. It was gritty, sketchily lit and had a confabulating driving pattern to find parking spots. Short and sweet: Warm Springs is cleannn. The entrance structure takes BIG cues from Staples Center. I seriously considered snapping my own photo for the page but I think everyone gets the picture. I'll cap out with quick instructions to make your trip easy. Park/remember your space number, fill your clipper/round trip ticket & enter, pay your $3 parking fee with Ca$h Only then off to the BARTcar races downstairs. I don't think I need to tell you how to get back, you've paid for everything then ^^ so it's just a matter of clearing the gates with your pass for the day. Saved me a lot of driving hassle to the Mission & 16th stop this past month. I like this place. read more

Came her for train ride to San Fran. My experience was very pleasant. The ticketing and fess were easy to access. The clerk at the window gave me the run down and made it easy for me. The ride all the way to san fran took no more than 30 mins and cost me no more than 8 bucks. Glad this place was close to my hotel. read more

This is the cleanest BART station I've been to! I don't really have any complaints about this place. Parking is plentiful and in general is a really nice and shiny station. There are escalators, elevators, and stairs that lead you down from the platforms. But I'll tell ya that the view from when you get out of the train is really pretty since it's super close to Mission Peak! I'm really glad that this station opened because it's a lot closer to where I live in South Bay. read more

Took it on opening day all the way from Powell St. Station in SF. Had to transfer at at a transfer point since they don't run a direct weekend train from city centre, but overall, a smooth ride and on time arrival. Few other patrons on the train other than sleepers riding it for the climate control. The station itself is modern, solar powered, with fanciful decor at the very top. The layout is a little strange in that you have to go upstairs from the parking lot to the ticketing machines then downstairs to the platform to catch the train, but I suppose that's an attempt to be space efficient. There's a bottleneck in front of the station on the main road, where I can imagine many people getting picked up/parking/waiting and blocking the area just like at the airport. Looking forward to the next 2 station connectors, estimated to open at the end of the year, so that North/East San Jose inhabitants have an option other than the unreliable and pricey CalTrain and its lengthy and expensive ride up the peninsula, and the chaotic Diridon Station and $5/a day parking buy-in. read more

Wow! What an upgrade from the Fremont Bart station. The station is huge and spacious. So much parking. I got a monthly pass, so bye-bye Bay Bridge for me! And electronic charging stations so I can finally buy a Tesla. I also just love that there are multiple Elevators and Stairs! No clogged entry and exit ways for commuters rushing to get home. Woo Hoo! Outstanding design. Now if we can just keep it quiet and empty in the AM I will be quite happy. Worth the wait for sure. This commuter will definitely be off the roads. read more

This weekend was my first time at this new station. It's very clean, simple, and the parking lot is beyond huge, however, I did not see any parking structure in case you don't like leaving your car in the sun. It's easy to find, and parking on weekends is free so it's a great way to get to berkeley. The station itself is a very simple open and contemporary structure, similar to Millbrae but seemingly much easier to navigate. The station and parking lot was almost empty but I'm sure over time it will gain popularity. I really liked the colored glass windows in the structure where the escalators take you up to the main station from the parking lot. The morning sun shining into the escalators really gives the entrance a very warm welcome. Beyond the building itself, it was a very normal Bart experience. Will come here more and more until the new station farther south opens up :) read more
