With our old house, I would've just run to Home Depot or Lowe's and picked up a few bags. After seeing one of their trucks delivering mulch to one of our neighbors, I decided I would try bulk delivery. I measured the square footage of our beds using Google Maps and used MulchSupply's online calculator to determine how much mulch I needed. The whole process was very easy. The day of delivery I was called while the driver was on his way. I did luck out as the previous stop was not home so I received 10 cubic yards for the price of the 8 that I ordered (deliveries are pre-organized). When it's time to refresh the mulch again (hopefully in a few years as moving all that mulch was very tiresome work), I would definitely considering ordering from them again.

As I waited in the lobby with my son, the owner comes back to me and says we have a problem. He proceeds to take us back into the back area and he shows me that the shaft was stripped when he tried to takeoff the nut to pull off the blade. I looked at it and I tried not to be angry in front of my son. But I was annoyed on the inside. The problem that I have with this individual or establishment of business is that there was no accountability for what was done to my lawnmower. The owner apologized and told me he was the one that worked on it and that it was nothing that he could do to rectify the situation. He said "This kind of thing happens" and that he's had other lawnmowers that this is happened to before. My other problem with this after I is that after I left I researched YouTube videos. And I found that no one used a power tool to remove the nut off of any lawnmower. They all use the hand socket wrench or torque wrench. I asked the owner before I left to compensate me for this. He told me no, he's not held responsible. My wife called him to ask him to use one of his lawnmowers for the day and he still wants to charge me after breaking my machine. #justlostacustomer

Came up when I got another Javanese plant like the one I got last time. Last time I got plants for my modest apartment but this time got four times the number of plants. I believe I wore her out because I bought a lot of plants for my office space at work (a lot for me, Mr. Brown Thumb but following Alison's tips I'm getting better at preserving greenery in my life) and I asked they all be potted into great new ceramic pots! His were from a motorcycle spill and I immediately remarked how I walked 800 miles during lockdown and often by Halls' from Summit and not a 1/2 mile down the street from Halls' was a affectionately tended testimonial to a local rider who lost his life out on his bike years ago at that spot. My Halls Helper winced then smiled. He knew the lost rider and had ridden with him a few times. He knew the man, the tragedy and the graveside memorial. He missed him. As I rode by after my car was plant-packed, I cast an eye at that spot and there, in the shining spring sun were brand newly sprouted yellow tulips and an American flag. The rider lives on. God bless Halls Garden Center, its fine American men and women and that brother rider I never knew who was lost too soon but is preserved in memory with that international sign of life and remembrance: plants and flowers and flora freely waving in the breeze. Get to Halls and stop just reading my raves! In a country occasionally fragmented and fractured and allegedly untethered by a lack of brotherhood, of sorority, of kindness, of patient grace and credible integrity, here's a place that's right on time every time you walk into her Hallowed Halls. The young man at the register would not honor the coupon even though it was a mistake on their part. I just became a customer here last year but will not be returning after today. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because they said pet friendly but nowhere did it say we had to carry our dog in the greenhouse or she couldn't come with us, their reasoning is there are toxic plants in the greenhouse.
