Cooked to perfection! Our filet mignon's were tender and juicy. I hear the butter boards are great. we plan on coming back to try the Sunday brunch that they brought back Of course we always stop to watch the famous Peabody Ducks....

So disappointing! We stayed at the Peabody Hotel, and decided based on the reviews, menu and pics…read moreto try this restaurant, instead of dining at tried and true area restaurants. We ordered the calamari appetizer, and I ordered the shrimp scampi and my husband ordered the pork loin with sweet potato casserole for our entree. I think the pics speak for themselves for anyone who recognizes seasoning, freshness, and portions. The calamari was overcooked and too salty. The shrimp scampi was so bland and there was not one fresh vegetable in the dish and the scampi was not scampied. The shrimp tasted boiled with no seasoning, although they were nice size shrimp. I believe there were five shrimp in the dish. When they delivered my husband's pork loin dish, the pork loin was bouncing around the plate like a hockey puck. Terrible plating and presentation. He said the pork loin was actually good but the sweet potato in the casserole had no seasoning in the sweet potato and they just dumped brown sugar and powdered sugar on top. I had the Lucille cocktail and even that wasn't good. My husband had the peach sour and he enjoyed it. I wish I had gotten that drink bc it was good. The interior felt like a diner. It has an exposed kitchen. We sat in booth seating and sunk down and could barely reach the table to eat. The hostess offered me a pillow of which I accepted but she never brought it. We didn't complain about the meal initially and chalked it up to a restaurant we'd never visit again. As we were checking out of the hotel the next morning and chatting with the concierge, my husband mentioned our disappointing experience and the concierge spoke to someone and as we were waiting for the ducks in the lobby the next morning so the manager of the restaurant stopped by our table and I shared my disappointment with my meal. He apologized and I believe offered a little something if we chose to visit the restaurant again. We actually ended up going to the restaurant for breakfast after checking out but paid for our breakfast meal. My husband's breakfast meal was only removed from our bill because the biscuits and gravy, although he said they were actually good, arrived cold so they sent out beignets and sausage while he waited for them to make fresh biscuits, but we waited so long that he no longer wanted the biscuits and just tasted the beignet's which he's actually not a fan of anyway so he did not really have breakfast. I had the chicken and waffles. They were edible but the chicken was tough and overcooked. I had an overpriced glass of OJ. Salty, powdered sugar, and overcooked meat are not a recipe for a good meal for us. I'm so glad that we didn't splurge bc we would have been peeved to get such an amateurly prepared meal. The most overpriced meals we've had in a long time for what we expected from a restaurant in a famous hotel. Our waiter, Laye, was very professional and friendly.
