Charged $265.00 and took a very long time to simply open a door lock. Did not return messages with questions concerning bill.

I purchased a 2004 Solara convertible a few days age from a dealer. The car came with one key…read more.. That's it. I researched and found out that the 2004 model had consumer-programmable keys and fobs, so I purchased 2 of each from Amazon, total price $11.99. I programmed the fobs and keys. Thr fobs worked great, Keys needed to be cut. I took the keys to my local Ace Hardware, and they refused to cut them. If I bought them there and got them cut, then fine. Price? $100 per key. Someone recommended West End Safe & Lock, so I went there the next morning. I spoke with Rick and he said "No problem! I can't guarantee they will work though, as I can't verify the source" He took about 10 minutes to cut both keys. My cost? $20.00 total. I took them to the car and started it with each key. Perfect. THANK YOU RICK!

Absolutely wonderful. Got the information for this service from our realtor when locked out of our…read morenew home. We had already had another lock smith come, who was absolutely terrible- that guy almost broke the sliding glass door and incorrectly drilled out the lock in the garage, only to tell us he had "the wrong drill bit." Didn't trust our Google abilities after that. Got connected with Darrel (I believe was his name...) after hours, and he told us he could do it, but since it was after hours (9pm.....) it would need to be in cash, and $180 since we were also further away from his location. At first, that was a LOT of money, especially considering the wallets, car keys, etc were all locked in the house. After figuring it out, he arrived and cut a new key on the spot that worked. He then asked to see ID's and deed to the home or he would lock us back out, and we were all to happy to provide him with everything needed. He also helped us clean up the mess left by the first person we called. Cannot recommend this business enough- honest, good guys, doing work by the book, and not doing more damage!

Don is awesome!! I can appreciate his honesty even more because I was ripped off before getting in…read morecontact with him. So i googled "Celebration Locksmith" and another number came up first. So i called them up to reinforce my doors and locks. They changed the deadbolt and lock and charged me $250. But they really didn't do much to reinforce the door. Seemed a bit pricey, but I had no reference to compare it to. Well, I decided to call up Celebration Lock & Safe instead after deciding to further reinforce the door... I felt like Such a fool! Not only did Don put in a new deadbolt and a number of other things to reinforce the door, it cost half as much!!!! So please don't fall victim like me... If you need an honest trustworthy locksmith, CELEBRATION LOCK & SAFE! His name is Don. He's been a locksmith here in town for over 12 years!

Since it had been a contested foreclosure previously I made rekeying the locks a priority, and he was at my door at the promised time before I even had time to walk over from the close. It wasn't an easy job. There were five exterior doors with locks to change out, and one of them had to be different since it was a garage apartment. He was quick. He was friendly. He was quick to point out that I would want to change the direction of the lock on a door that connects the studio apartment with the house. He only charged me $139 for the job. This would've ended up being a five-star review anyway, but then Don went above and beyond the call of duty. Much to my dismay, on opening my garage door it made a sound like a pair of cats fighting it out in a metal garbage can. I asked him if he also did garage door remotes, and he not only reprogrammed my remote but hammered the guide rail that was causing the commotion in place and lubricated all of the wheels -- and didn't charge me extra for all of that. Don is the man.

Extremely Disappointed with Pop-A-Lock of Bartow…read more I am beyond frustrated with the service I received from Pop-A-Lock of Bartow, dispatched to me through AAA. My Honda CR-V would not start, and while replacing the battery, my key broke apart in my hand. I requested a replacement key and was charged $225 for it. When the job was complete, I was given a replacement key that was NOT like the original. It did not function as the original. It didnt' even have the same number of buttons! Not much I could do about it so I let it go. Not happy, but I could cope. THEN I was told that the new key could not be programmed to match my broken key -- that the entire car system had to be wiped and reprogrammed. This process rendered my husband's key COMPLETELY INOPERABLE. Now they want to charge another $225 just to program his key. If I don't pay them to do it, we are left with a single working key. At NO POINT was I informed that wiping the system was required or that this would disable the other key. Had I known, I would have declined the service and saved myself the $225 by continuing to share a single key with my husband. I was willing to pay to have my second key and DID! To make matters worse, the technician twice promised to come back when he was in the area and make things right by programming my husband's key -- then backed out today and said the charge would still be $225. Pop-A-Lock told me I could request another service call from AAA to have them come out, but the cost would remain the same. $225!!! I cannot undo the original service or recover the money I lost. I want others to be aware: Pop-A-Lock will not inform you up front of the consequences of how they do their job, will not honor verbal commitments made to you to rectify it, and will leave you worse off than when you called - $225 poorer with only a single working key. Their response? Blame Honda not us and I should have told them there was more than one key to the car. I'm NOT a locksmith. I wouldn't know to tell them that unless they asked. I had NO experience or knowledge that would have led me to believe they weren't able to program to match my existing key. That simple communication of information would have saved me $225 and I would still have at least ONE factory key with all functions that worked. Truly disappointing experience. Actually, Disappointing doesn't even cover it. Unbelievable.
