Words cannot fully express how talented Allen Tsai is. My husband and I are not used to being…read moreprofessionally photographed, so we chose Allen based on his stellar reviews. He did not disappoint! My best advice would be to trust him and his skills as a photographer implicitly. 1. He gives plenty of direction in terms of body placement, posture, hand placement, etc. to give you flawless photos. If you are new to being photographed like me, you'll find this kind of direction extremely helpful and comforting. 2. At the same time, he creates a very calm, light, and fun atmosphere that creates true, genuine moments between you and your significant other. We are two people that usually feel very uncomfortable in front of a camera, however we had such an enjoyable experience with Allen. 3. I really encourage anyone using Allen's services to listen to his recommendations. For example, our original scheduled date was cloudy and overcast. He recommended that we wait for sun if we truly wanted to be happy with our photos. We are so grateful to have listened to him, because the results were wonderful (see attached). There are other photographers that will say that cloudy weather is actually better, however with Allen's technique and skill set, he can do incredible things with the light. She is so fun and quickly sensed the mischief in my voice! I mean I am Ryan Reynolds so that goes without saying...wait I'm not really Ryan. But that point is irrelevant. What's key is how Jen was able to motivate 4 multigenerational families to pose for the camera. Light was the fundamental ingredient. The sun was setting fast! I was amazed at how Jen was able to quickly frame her shots and incorporate the sun peeking through nature in her compositions, while she was balancing on logs and rugged terrain. She helped each individual w/ stance, posing, hair, etc. Of course, I demanded the most help as the diva who just incessantly clamored to be front and center. Her eye for color and posing feet and hands was not lost on me. Other than trekking through untamed grass in our Sunday finest on a Friday, the most fun part was perhaps dodging mountain bikes on a live trail. A few whizzed by. There was even one guy on a fancy electric bike. He whizzed by the fastest! I mean nothing says look at me exercising and improving my health like riding an electric bike through a serious trail. Am I right, ladies? Haha! The grandparents had a great time w/ all the grandkids! Jen made this family photography outing a lot, I mean a whole lot of fun! I learned that backlighting with the sun peeking through nature can turn out beautiful photographs. She even showed me a preview! And yes, dare I say she made me look more celeb than Tom Cruise! Definitely humbler than the real Ryan...and with deeper dimples. When we do this again, because my vanity will demand it, we are definitely going to call Jen! Woohoo!

L ucy was very unprofessional during our communication. It would take several days for her to…read morerespond and it seemed as if she wanted me to work my availability around a trip she was taking. After sending several messages trying to find a compromise, she stopped responding. The next week she contacted me again. I expressed that I wouldn't feel comfortable with her because of her inability to communicate with me in a timely manner and her communication was lacking in professionalism. Her response was that I was not her client and therefore she didn't feel the need to get back to me as quickly. I was very confused by this, as I would never commit to a photo shoot with a photographer who isn't able to respond to me in a timely manner. This was family photo shoot that many of us were traveling to the Dallas area for. Our dates weren't flexible and it was important to me to find someone who could ensure that it would be a smooth process. All in all I felt Lucy was unable to provide time with the level of service I expect. Furthermore, after ending our conversation, she continued to harass me through text message until I asked her to stop. If you are planning to book a photographer please look elsewhere! I am not sure if this if her normal work ethic, if I had done something to offend her, or if she was having a bad week. Regardless of the reason, her attitude was very off putting and her professionalism was lacking.

After my small wedding, I realized that I didn't have any full length pictures of me in my gown. I…read morewanted a few pics, but didn't want a several-hundred-dollar formal shoot. I found Mona online and she delivered. She was quick to respond to my online initial questions and was pleasant and prompt the day of. We met at an outdoor area and she quickly surveyed the surroundings. She found interesting angles with pleasant backgrounds; was not rushed, yet super efficient. I think the whole shoot may have taken about 30 min & I think she said she had around 400 pics. In about a week she had them edited and returned electronically to me. I was so happy with the results. She returned about 30 finished pics with varying effects. I highly recommend her and am looking forward to using her again for family pics in the future- a bluebonnet field perhaps.
