We were first-time major-home-renovation homeowners when beginning the search for a company/contractor to renovate our basement, and after the first round of receiving quotes from several other places, we almost gave up. We decided to look again and received a few more quotes, and what set Miller Home Group (MHG) apart from all others was Jason's vision and ability see a layout that we could not see ourselves. I think this is the most important thing other potential clients of MHG need to hear...all of the other companies listen to our ideas and gave us a pricing... that's it...no new ideas, no excitement. Jason said, well hear me out... what if we put the TV wall here (a wall that didn't exist yet) and this angled wall here (another non-existent wall) to separate the gym from the living space... and before we knew it our space was maximized and it now feels like we have a luxury "five-star hotel" in our basement and we can't believe it is in our home. Jason's vision, alone, is a value no other company is offering. We began with the design phase in late February/early April and wrapped up as scheduled in mid/late August just in time for football season (for our seven-tv wall). From the beginning of construction in June, to the completion in August, we were excited to come home every night to see the progress. As expected in home renovation projects, there were delays, updates, issues and changes along the way, but Johnny (Jonathan), our project manager, was always communicating with us. Between Jason and Johnny, we could not have been happier with the line of communication, especially as we began to see the space unfold and decided to add-in new things to the project on the fly. From the design phase to the final walkthrough, we welcomed the Miller Home Group family into our home and could not be happier with the results. We cannot thank them enough. To the entire staff, Jason (Miller), Johnny, Ian, Jason "Kicker", Dave, Jeff, Terrell, Ben, and Aleish, Thank you! We kind of feel like we've lost friends now that the project is completed, but welcome anyone that reads this review that is considering remodeling their basement to give MHG a call. Truthfully, Jason had my decision made to go with MHG from the initial phone call, and then meeting him for the quote walkthrough and then the design meeting only solidified both of our decisions.

I had several issues with this contractor. They are extremely sloppy they do not use drop cloths…read moreand i constantly had to clean up after them at night. After installing a new floor, they exposed it to the mud you use to tile a shower,as well as the Red Guard you use to waterproof the shower before tiling. I had to scrub the floor each night they left To get the mud residue and red guard drips up from the new uncovered floor. They also failed to protect a brand new acrylic tub while they were tiling and scratched in several places. I bought a repair kit at Lowe's and was able to buff them out at night after cleaning up the mess they made in the unprotected tub.They totally gutted my bathrooms and they do not own a Shop vac so they had to use our vacuum cleaner. They cleaned the cement out of a bucket and dumped the cement right in our garage which of course I had to clean up. They also started work prior to having a dumpster delivered so our garage was filled with junk for a week and a toilet fell over and smashed into pieces. They also cut tile with a wet saw in my garage instead of out in the grass away from the house. I had to power wash the entire garage and driveway to get up all the caked on dried up tile dust. Again because they don't drop cloth anything, they dripped tile residue all over our laminate floors and steps,as they carried the fresh cut dripping wet tile throughout the house. The contractor also has unusual hours, usually they averaged 4 hours a day 10-2 which drags the job out longer while your house is ripped apart. His proposal did say 5 weeks but I assumed that was 8 hours a day but I was wrong. He is a very good plumber and he did a nice job installing our floors in the bathrooms. The tile lines in one bathroom were good but the tile job in the last shower he did was terrible,he even installed a tile that was chipped and tried to cover it with grout.I am also hiring another contractor to come in and regrout the shower because it is terrible. My biggest complaint is the lack of respect they showed to our house with their sloppy work. I would not recommend them if you value clean, timely work, you will spend a lot of time cleaning up after them.

Due your due diligence, cooper roofing has a history of causing leaks. When they rack up some bad…read morereviews, they just make a new business listing. Cooper Roofing just redid the roof's for our entire row of apartments. They leaked through our ceiling one day & our neighbors ceiling a week later & in the hallway. The fire department even came one day, it was a whole ordeal. I suspect they leaked through every building they did. The roofers only come on rainy days, & leave the roof exposed to the rain, thus all the leaks. They come & go as they please, they come one day, then don't show up for a week- took weeks just to do our roof. Not only did we have to deal with all this leaking, the roofers were careless with our plants & furniture on the patio, even after asking them countless times to try to please try to protect it. They threw tons of trash, a whole dumpster full, all over our balcony, crushing our plants. They didn't keep up a tarp, refused to throw trash down the side of the building instead chose to continue throwing it onto/over our balcony. I understand roofing is a messy job & some stuff is going to fall, but they just didn't even try at all. To make matters more upsetting the owner or higher up or manager, they wouldn't give us a name, put up a ladder to our balcony, knocked on our window while we're working, just to then proceed to be extremely rude & condescending to us, extremely unprofessional, refusing to even acknowledge or take responsibility or give a sincere apology. Instead he told us he knows he's rude, he said his daughter says the same thing, weird? Extremely unprofessional, really speaks volumes as to what kind of company Cooper roofing is. They did say they would reimburse us for our damaged plants, but instead gave us the run around & wasted our time. I never write reviews, but this whole ordeal, especially the way the manager or owner or whoever he was spoke to us led me to write this. Stay away from Cooper roofing, where integrity never mattered.

DPM did a great job finishing my basement. It was unfinished with concrete foundation walls and…read morefloors and now it is a beautiful space that my family enjoys every day. The attached photos are a work in progress. DPM also installed radiant barriers in my attic and blow-in insulation and the difference after the work is substantial in my energy bills. I highly recommend this upgrade if you have issues with abnormal energy bills. DPM also dug down 8' along my foundation walls and sealed my foundation walls fixing water infiltration before the basement was finished and it's dry to this day. I highly recommend their work and I'm available for references.
