Bash hand wraps - required for class
    Melissa C.

Signed up through ClassPass. I got fatter during Covid, so I figured it was time to go back. This is not the class for you if you hate burpees and mountain climbers, so I was less than thrilled to do those. I really just wanted to take a nap. However, I liked the jumping jacks, punching, and standing core work. Overall, I don't know if I would go back, but the class had good energy. It was pretty packed for an evening weekday class. Probably 86-90% women with a handful of guys.

My first time at BASH was a knockout! They offered a free class on Memorial Day for new members and I really enjoyed it! My boxing experience is minimal, but that's okay! The instructor goes over the 6 core punches at the beginning of class to get everyone up to speed. The class itself is split into punches on the "aqua bags" and weighted workouts on the floor area. It's 45 minutes in total and was a great cardio workout! The instructor also did a great job of keeping everyone moving in between sets (jumping jacks, high knees, etc). Inside the studio there's an underground boxing gym/spinning class vibe. The lights are super low, don't worry you'll adjust, which is nice because it lets you focus on yourself instead of worrying about what you look like in the mirror. My only piece of feedback would be having video demonstrations of the floor exercises because, with so much going on, it was hard to remember what some of the exercises looked like. Overall, I had a great time and PLEASE set up in Seattle so I can go back!

Ask the Community - Bash Boxing

Is this a good place for intermediate fighters or for those that aren't looking for a class but just some time on the bag?

Probably not but you can actually schedule 1-1 coaching practice with some of the instructors.

I am pretty short (5 ft)... will the bags be too high for someone my size? can they be adjusted depending on height?

They can't be adjusted. That said, I'm 5'3" and have no issues with the bag height.

What are the purchase and rental prices if we don't have our own wraps or boxing gloves?

Hi, Aggie! Gloves are on us the first time! And wraps are $10 (yours to keep!) if you don't have your own! After your first class, glove rental is $2.00!

It was so important to me that I even chose my house to be close to this gym. When I got here it did not disappoint. Almost immediately I met kru Jom who has since taken my Muay Thai to the best level. To be completely honest, I move with a lot of Ego. I thought I had to be fast , strong, and impressive in order to be "good at martial arts" and kru Jom called me out immediately. "Sahira, I need you move more. Too tense" and "Sahira, I need you play more". In the 5 month I've been working with Kru Jom I've become more playful and relaxed in my motion, which is also translating into my regular life. Anger issues have noticeable decreased and I find myself applying Kru Jom's life philosophy into my healing practice as well (I'm a chiropractor). Kru Jom is my guy, and the entire gym holds excellent standards and requires high levels of discipline from me, which is the environment I thrive best in. "Train. Win. Class didn't feel too big and we had enough space to do our partner work and hit the bags without hitting each other. The instructor did some individual work but it was limited to 30 seconds or less give. There were 15-20 people in the class. He was available when I had questions about what the combo we were practicing was (if I didn't get it the first two times) and made several corrections to my form along the way.
