At the very start everything seemed ok. But then one beautiful day our company was about to do dance class but once we arrived floors were dirty , full of sand and salt. So instead of apologizes they gave us a broom in a very rude maner. Ok. We cleaned once and we were full of hope that this kind of situation never happens again. Yesterday we came as usual and floors were dirty again. And the manager told us to clean floors again. Wait, wait , wait... THIS STUDIO WAS BOOKED AND PAID . I guess we deserve discount and our salary for cleaning their business space after other customers . By the way they charge cleaning fee from people who left floors dirty, so that basically means that they have to provide cleaning service for next customers. There s a very rude manager who came 10 minutes before our paid time ( Including a fact that we spent 20 minutes to clean space by ourselves just to get what we paid for. Ridiculous .) And after girls asked them to let them finish a lesson for a couple more minutes , he came and just took our equipment out of outlets and told us to leave immediately. Well. I would recommend everyone to avoid this place and their management. By the way we didn't got any apologies and we will continue deal with this situation . My godson is a goalie on the Ice Doggs, a kid's team and was playing a game there on a Saturday. Most of his games are on days/times that I can't make, so I was happy to be able to see him live. The facility has underground parking, but I can see that it can fill up quickly as there are games going on all day and well into the night. As a matter of fact, when we were leaving, there were cars already sitting there waiting for folks from the last game to leave. Cost to park is $2 and they do take wallet payments. It was nice that we could park in the lot and enter directly into the building. The main rink was on the first floor as well as the locker rooms. Seating and the bar was on the second floor. Seating was bleacher style, but not too bad on the backside. The bar was pretty basic, just one white wine (Sauvignon Blanc), so I got a vodka and ginger ale with some lime juice...$8 which was not bad. Bartender was nice and they are cashless for payment but prefer cash for tips. The rink is affiliated with the Blackhawks, so there was a sign that stated the rink is an official partner of theirs. As for the game, I had so much fun watching my godson get 20 saves and his team won, 9-1 over the home team. The players looked as good as any adult skater and were skating as if on silk. There was one player that did a great hip check and got a penalty, but I shook his hand later in the locker room to tell him it had been executed excellently, even if it was not allowed. We went in to see my godson in the locker room, which was okay looking, clean. Didn't see any showers, but guessing they could be somewhere else? My son walks fine on the ice, but the instructor didn't bother to get close to him, encourage him and challenge him to step out of his comfort zone to move faster. When we talked to the instructor, what they said is "then why other kids can skate?" I was so shocked to hear that, isn't it because the kids who need more help have to find another teacher who can really help them??!! My friend's son had the same situation and she warned me not to take Johnny's class because it's waste of time. I really regretted that I didn't listen to her advise as Johnny's is close to our home. So I would say, if your kid doesn't have fear on ice, it's ok to take their course, the instructor can give them a bit instruction. but if your kid's personality is very cautious, Johnny is definitely not a good choice. It's a waste of money.

We had registered online for their green dot lesson series for beginners, and selected the dates of classes we would attend. I even got a confirmation email, but on the first day of lessons we showed up and they didn't have my son on the list. They told us that the registration system sometimes doesn't work and that the best way to be registered is to have a staff member do it. So we had to leave (no instructor was there) and call to schedule later. Unfortunately, two additional times we showed up only to find out that his lesson was canceled without us knowing. Both times we had confirmation emails that the class was happening, and both times we showed up to nothing - and unfortunately today, no one was at the facility at all, so there wasn't even anybody to talk to about our issue. (The gate to the courts was wide open though, yikes) Unfortunately, when you have issues like this (or need to reschedule) you can't reach anyone. When you call and try to leave a message, the machine cuts you off before you can finish speaking after only 5 or 10 seconds, and if you email them, no one ever replies to you. So your only recourse is to call and call and call until you finally reach someone. I can't recommend the business to any parent; logistics are critical, and this place unfortunately didn't deliver.

What we didn't realize is the first practice had already occurred in 2020. And unfortunately my car was snowed in for the second practice. So we decided to go to the third practice on Feb 7. When my soon to be 14 year old son and I showed up, my son refused to join the group because there were only young children ages 8 or 9. I emailed Milo that we were disappointed due to the expense, the low quantity of practices and more importantly the young ages present. I requested a refund but Milo got rude over several emails taking no responsibility and repeatedly said "no refunds!" Several times. I expressed my disappointment on how he handled the situation and told him I would write a review. He said "give us 5 stars." I normally would let $140 go and have my son train elsewhere but that annoyed me hence this review. I can provide copies of emails if needed. If you children are older, ask how many are practicing in their age range before joining or paying anything!!!
