But a great plumber is only good if you can get a response from them. I've been dealing with him for several years now. Consistently I've had to message repeatedly, call repeatedly. On occasion - as the first time I contacted him probably in 2023 - he answers the phone himself, and provides info on what he thinks the problem is. And he does phenomenal work. After a few years of being a good customer, patient, paying on time, never objecting to pricing, I **STILL** cannot get a response from him. One issue is that he's a one man show. It's him, or no one. His wife is lovely and accompanies him at times. Very knowledgeable herself. About 4 weeks ago I initiated contact and he responded immediately via text. Great, I thought. Then nothing. After a few more messages checking in, he said there was a family medical situation. I gave him space, and here we are two weeks and yet another text message to him later, and nothing. Nada. And still a leaking well tank. C'mon. Do better. We are done, hope you sort yourself out with other customers - I've seen several other people have had the same experience.

I called Wet Spot Plumbing to evaluate a property for a possible sewage problem. They came to the…read more house and cut a hole in the wall, checked under the house and did an overall review and charged $450.00 for the visit. Their recommendation was to re-plumb the entire house, run new vents through the wall and roof, and stated that might fix the issue, because they couldn't see the issue. They stated that they would not cut the hole in the roof, nor repair it, so I would have to have a roofer available to do that work. For this work they said the cost would be over $3000.00. I had another plumber check again, he recommended a smoke test, identified the issue as a leaking toilet flange. I do not recommend Wet Spot Plumbing - the crew that was sent to my property were obviously unqualified to resolve the issue, or they would have recommended a smoke test.

Because of the weather, it took longer than usual for the company to reach my home, and I had to go without hot water for a bit. It was a tough stretch dealing with the storm and the unexpected failure, but Carroll & Sons ultimately made it right and stood behind their work.

I got quotes from 7 contractors to install a tankless water heater and move a gas pipeline (to enable furnace relocation). Carrol & Sons was the cheapest. However, while in the midst of the repair, they stated they hadn't included moving the gas line in the contract and wanted an additional $1,800. This, despite physically showing the work that needed to be done 3 times prior starting the work, and confirming the details over the phone. 2. While I was told they were going to complete the job within a week, once I paid the deposit they took a month to complete the job. I almost lost a significant tax credit for the water heater due to their irresponsibility. Moreover, because they didn't completed the job on time, I was unable to conduct other energy efficiency upgrades before the end of the year, losing a significant amount of money in tax credits. 3. Installed the wrong water heater model. I called to confirm the water heater model prior giving the deposit. However, I noticed the mistake immediately after the installation. They installed a model that was about $300 cheaper and lacked one of the features I was specifically looking for. 4. They installed the exhaust/intake pipes in the wrong wall, despite having discussed this three times (including the day of the installation. I wanted the pipes towards the side of the house, so it would be covered by the landscaping. However, they installed it towards the back of the house on top of a basement window (that was meant to be converted into an egress window). After reflecting on this experience, I realized that Carrol & Sons used very generic terms in the contract's scope of work, followed by reassurances over the phone, and surprises/headaches later. Overall, they turned what was meant to be just another repair into a nightmare.
