Absolutely the best thin crust pizza around, from the slightly tangy spice of the pizza sauce , crispy deliciousness of the crust, to the thick slab mozzarella cheesiness, truly is heaven in a mouthful. I've tried several of their pizzas, Tom's special is a fav: pineapple, pepperoni, Canadian bacon with extra cheese, they have a lot of other stuff on their menu, salads, pasta, appetizers but the best is the pizza, very friendly, welcoming staff always, affordable pricing, can't go wrong here. The pizza crust is paper thin and not to our liking. We were told it was hand tossed and expected thicker than paper. We ordered the Supreme House Special which included pepperoni. We asked them to hold the pepperoni and just add more of one of the other toppings that was included instead. No can do. We didn't think that was right. The sauce was spicy but ok. I decided to try their new location on Owatonna on my way south of the cities and I will not be back. This is one of the worst fresh pizzas I have ever had, without exaggeration. I need to watch my sodium and pizzas from everyone are normally high in sodium. If I can taste it, it's too high. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger pizza (I know not the wisest choice) and it is the saltiest pizza I have ever had in my life, with a side of the saltiest pickles I have ever had. The pizza probably wasn't cut well because it reformed again before I could get home into a glob. The pizza itself didn't hold together well, with the cheese and toppings wanting to slide off the crust. And it's extremely greasy, more noticeable as leftovers watching the oil bleed out. Why not 1 star? I didn't get food poisoning and the flavor was decent. Somehow I do believe a good pizza could be made, but they would have to change a lot. read more

I have been through faribault several times and finally took the time to go here for a pizza. It was very good! This is a thin crust pizza with the crisp edges and chewy center crust with a good flavor. The sauce is good, and topping were generous and flavorful. This is a real pizza restaurant that is locally owned and operated! They also gave take out! The current owners and cooks have came really close, really close to the original Basilleo's Pizza! Just an FYI if the parking is full in front the place still has plenty of room, so park on a side street and try it out! My favorite is Italian sausage and pepperoni! read more

We ordered a large House Special pizza along with Spaghetti and Meatballs. Both items were exceptionally delicious. The pizza had a thin crunchy crust, there was an overabundance of toppings, and the sauce was the best part. The Spaghetti came with a large slice of garlic bread, which we ordered toasted. Like all Chicagoans, I think I know a thing or two about pizza. That being said and considering it wasn't deep dish, the pizza was excellent! The thin crust was very crispy on the edges and firm in the middle. Perfect amount of cheese, and toppings. What stole the show was the sauce! It was the right consistency with just a hint of spice to give it a little more zip. Needless to say, the next time we are in town for hockey, we will make another visit. We hadn't tried "Basilleo's 2.0" yet and decided to give it a try today. We had been regulars at the old Basilleo's for years, until the last owner let the quality sink. We were hoping the old style pizza quality returned with the new ownership. We chose to got and pick up the pizzas instead of delivery. Looking in the store, it was very open and looked new. They did a great job on the remodel. We got two large pizzas, pepperoni and onion as well as sausage and onion. Both were done perfectly. There were plenty of toppings and the sauce was perfect. Crust was perfectly baked and it was all very tasty. It's not the cheapest pizza in town. But the quality was worth the cost. Would highly recommend you visit! read more

Visited Basilleo's with some family that my sister and I were visiting and it was great! The place seemed small at first, but there are multiple seating areas as you go into the restaurant further. We were seated right away, which was great and our waitress, Connie, was wonderful! She kept our drinks full, checked in on us frequently, and even helped entertain my niece with pizza themed toys they had at the restaurant! She also noticed us struggling to get my niece to eat all of her dinner and was kind enough to bring her a surprise (toy duck and fruit snacks) once she finished eating everything! We had a great time here and will definitely make a note to come back once we are in Faribault again! read more

I should start by saying I was not a fan of the former Basilleo's and was not sad to see it go. However when it was announced it was reopening with new owners I felt I could give it a shot. We started by ordering pizza and actually were quite pleased with what we got. I had requested one substitution and was curtly denied, but I can live with that. Still a fairly good pizza. So when my mom came into town last night and we were looking for a place to eat I thought we would go in and try their pasta. Wow what a mistake. All pasta dishes come with a salad and buttered or garlic butter bread. I had a creamy Italian salad and the garlic bread with their combo platter. My dressing tasted strange, but the salad by itself was pretty impressive. Good lettuce, cheese and croutons. The garlic bread wasn't even toasted and was just buttered French bread. The combo plate has cannelloni, spaghetti and meatballs, and meat or spinach lasagna. The cannelloni meat had spice but was otherwise tasteless, the red sauce seemed like it was straight out of a jar and lacked flavor. It was just bland. My mom had the Alfredo and added shrimp and mushrooms. She asked before ordering if the mushrooms were fresh or out of a can. The server stated they were fresh. Upon getting the dish they looked like they were from a can. The shrimp were very cheap and tasted like it as well. I really wanted this restaurant to be good and to give us yet another choice in Faribault, but unless I want their pizza over all the others in town I don't foresee myself going back. read more

Very nice "individually owned" business. (We HATE and refuse to eat at ANY Franchises) (They necessarily SUCK consistently in all cases) Basilleo's makes GREAT Thin crust Pizzas. Don't know if they have a deep dish or not. They also have Great Spaghetti and meatballs! The service is moderately good, and the wait staff is friendly. It's a comfort food place, and they do this well. One minor complaint on Bread quality, (kind of weak, but fairly tasty anyways) but aside from that you'll generally get a great meal, and leave satisfied. The salads are also a bit weak, but this is not designed as a high end place. Just good dependable food. The pizza/Spaghetti sauce is good and strong, meatballs and sausage are great! Pastas are very good. A good place to bring your friends for a nice comfortable meal of good Italian cooking and conversation with good friends. Being they are independant, you'll meet people who will actually give a rat's #$% what they serve on your plate. We now regularly drive down from Apple Valley to enjoy their food. Basillio's is a fantastic locally-owned pizza joint in Faribault. Crust is thin and they pack each pizza with plenty of toppings. Sauce and crust were excellent, I'll definitely recommend them. B) You want to cut back...They cut the pieces small, so you can brag to your friends you ate 10 pieces, while still cutting down. Despite some of the reviews which are older, we decided to have my Son and DIL's rehersal dinner here at Basilleo's. We wanted something simple, fairly fast and nothing too fancy. We talked to the owner who helped us decide on ordering and made good suggestions for serving a party of 35. We had pizza, salad, and beer and pop. They had the back room set up and ready to go for us and a waitress dedicated to just our party. Can't remember her name , but she was great......sorry!!!. When we were done with salad, the pizzas came out and we ordered a variety. All were hot thin crust and delicious. The spicy italian sausage and onion is a MUST!!! Very thin crust with ample toppings and not too greasy. Pizza that is not greasy is for cake-eaters!!! Pizza was cut in Milwaukee style small squares which was nice for getting a variety of pizza on each plate. All in all, Basilleo's did what they promised and it was just what we were looking for. We love this place, the pizza is awesome and the waitress was pleasant but last night the wait was ridiculous long. Our app of cheese bread took 25 min. Then another 25 min for our food that we ordered at the same time. We weren't informed of the wait time until 10 min after we ordered. Worst meal I've ever had. Salad was watery. Spaghetti was watery. Lasagna was hamburger layered between noodles. Cannelloni was a rock hard, dried log of meat wrapped in a piece of pasta. All of this was covered in sauce that wasn't bad. I gave up and decided to just eat the garlic bread dipped in the sauce but I couldn't even bite a piece off of the bread.
