These are delicious, a Korean BBQ fries.

Servers are pleasant but they could use another body or two today. It's a lot of windows inside and just one small television, so this isn't really a place if you and your bros wanna catch the game. The beer I had is your normal brewery lager, nothing bad, nothing great just good. I had the Cubano, it was very good, maybe could have used a little more mustard. I'm told the burger was good as well so a good food score here.

Side salad with Bleu cheese and the brat. Yum.

Bratwurst is from Kramarczuks in Minneapolis- amazing. The grilled onion and homemade bun. Yes. Husband had the $14 special-beer, burger and fries. He liked it. The bun also very good. Our bartender was super chill and we appreciated his chat since we sat at the bar. The interior is clean and industrial- great time. Oh! And the beer....great. We had the hazy ipa and czech pils and enjoyed BOTH.

Love the expanded food menu and beers are great as always! Worth checking out if you're in Northfield. Service was also very good!

Loved the ambiance upon walking into this place and had high hopes of a good overall experience. We came for a late lunch around 3 pm. Checked in on Yelp and got a free appetizer offer and so we were excited. Beer list looked great but both of us thought it was too early to drink and so just had water. Server was very friendly. Then we see that the appetizer we got offered on check in through Yelp was no longer on the menu and so no free app. Bummer. Fiancée ordered the hot chicken sandwich and I got the pulled pork sandwich. Both felt a bit pricey at almost $20. Food took a long time to come as the place filled up even though staffing seemed good. When it came I thought the chicken sandwich was solid. We finished that one together. Pulled pork was average. Too soggy and not much flavor. Definitely avoid it. Will come back but just for dinner and beers. Would give the burgers a try too as I see them on other tables and they seemed good.

Love the option of outdoor seating. This is in front, and there's more in the back.

This is a small and lovely place, with historical touches. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, which we appreciated because it was a gorgeous fall day, and the large group of kids inside was crazy loud! I had their oktoberfest beer which was good. Hubby had Smithereen, a hazy IPA that he gave good marks to.

After chatting up the Chapel brewer in nearby Dundas, with recommendations in hand I stopped in. I had perfect timing....to snag the last parking spot in their little parking lot. I was unaware how popular their brunch offerings were. Noted for a future stop. I had a glass of the Tmave, Dark Czech Lager and a pour of the Hit The Brix, Belgian Golden Strong. Both beers were good. The tap room was packed but still comfortable. My beertender was friendly and informative. Thanks Tanzewald!

My after pic of eating a delicious pulled pork dish!

Stopped in tonight for dinner with the hubs The place has both indoor and outdoor seating We chose the bar ( our happy place) This is a brewery so their list of options had a great selection to choose from if not sure and you like octoberfest pick that one! My hubs really enjoyed it As a non drinker I appreciated the NA option of La guinatas IPNA I choose the pulled pork and a side salad and the hubs had smash burger and Caesar salad Other sides available fries mashed potatoes and a few others The wait staff were all pleasant and friendly it felt like it would be a nice place to work a good vibe for sure A few tv screens so able to watch the Twins and the music selection was a nice change 70's ( I think) My pic is of my plate as I devoured the food before thinking of taking a pic stop in if you are looking for a pleasant place to chill out maybe it will become your happy place too!

We checked this place out after kayaking on the Cannon River- what a find! This is a brewery with an awesome restaurant. Ambience is open spaced and airy with a great vibe. Family friendly and spots to sit outside too. (It was in the 90s so we opted for inside.) They do pizzas on Wednesday so we got a pizza. All the choices sounded good and the regular menu was extensive with lots of vegetarian options. Our pizza flavors were spicy and well balanced. Highly recommendthe pizzas. (We got the one with jalapeño, goat cheese, and balsamic.) The star of the show, though, were the beers, in particular the Smithereen IPA. It is listed as a New England style but to me this was classic West Coast San Diego IPA. It was balanced, just the right hop level, and so refreshing! We also had the brown ale. I'm excited to go back and try more of the menu and the beers! This is the best craft brewery we have been to in Northfield, which, as a college town, has plenty of brewery options.

    Smash burger and fries.

Tasty burgers and an excellent vibe. Service was very good and the interior of the space was delightfully rustic and industrial.

Wanted to stop at a brewery in town and this was one that came up on our trail. Stopped by at about 2 on a Saturday, wasn't terribly busy, but took over 10 minutes to be noticed at the host stand to get seated. I don't love to rag on service, but there were 4 people that walked right past us and the growing line and didn't even acknowledge the people standing there. Not even a "someone will be right with you". We sat outside where we were equally ignored except to order. No "how's the food?", "can I get you another beer?". At least the dark beer was good enough to give it a couple stars back.

A favorite stop of mine in Northfield, we were delighted to stumble upon Tanzentoberfest and enjoy an excellent Fest beer and soft German pretzel along with raucous music. No Gaye's fee you Will experience that every day at Tanzenwald but it is still worth a stop. I appreciate their carefully crafters beers with an emphasis on German and Belgian styles. The petit saison had that crisp yet earthy tones I love. Their menu works well for the vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Two friends enjoyed their vegan burger. I ordered the cabbage pancakes with mushrooms, which were a perfect post ride meal. A little eggier than I prefer, but still delicious.

We came in for a late lunch and flight after a hike. We were seated quickly and had a minute to check out the menu. We ordered a flight with some interesting beer. We enjoyed the beer while waiting for our food. They were busy with people coming and going as we sat and ate lunch. People ordering seemed fairly familiar with them. The food was good, the service was friendly and efficient.

    Flight of three beers
    Trisha J.

We enjoyed our stop at this little brew pub. I had a flight of three beers and like them all, especially the Hitthebrix. My husband had the Royale burger which he enjoyed and I had the Mac'n'cheese with pulled pork; so good! Only complaint was our fried pickle appetizer tasted like fish (the previous night they had a fish special) so I'm guessing they had used the same oil in the fryer. It is a very small place, I would recommend making a reservation especially on a weekend.

I lived in Northfield for approximately a month and this was the best food I found in town. It's also got a great vibe.

Roasted Brussels sprouts were too sweet. Added sugar? Cheese curds were light and fluffy. Gottlieb Pilsner hit the spot.

On awkward waiting wondering if this is one of those places where you can just seat yourself. The place is clean and the ambiance has some very nice touches to bring intrigue. The subtle candle-like light fixture was corky and added to the charm. Prices are very reasonable! I had a good idea what I wanted prior to stopping in. Food came out quickly. Less than 10 mins. Lupia was hot and delicious. My first time having one so wilk not compare it to an egg roll. The braised beef rib was tender and juicy. I pulled out the knife but only a fork is necessary. I do wish the meat was a tad saltier but just a personal preference there. Service was pleasant, attentive, and quick. The gentleman who greeted me also thanked me on my way out. It was rather pleasant experience overall and am planning on coming back to try more of the menu!

We went back to George and the Dragon for lunch, and I realized why there was something odd about…read morethe place. No one sits at the bar. It's a restaurant, perhaps reflecting its neighborhood, where people have an occasional beer, but George and the Dragon isn't a drinking hole. That changes the ambiance. The patrons looked well-off, but in that way in which they try hard not to look like they have money. Most of them wore clothes that made them look as if they had just come off the tennis court, or their bike, or after running a five-mile for a great cause. My wife and I still try to look nice when we go out. We don't dress down. Most of the people at George & the Dragon were in their fifties or sixties, including the servers, who were very earnest, if you know what I mean. I'm in my seventies, grew up in NYC, and still try to look hip, and I drink vodka quite often. Maybe that's why I felt uncomfortable. That decade and a half makes a huge difference in how we grew up, and what I experienced in the sixties and seventies. The food was okay, not great. The burger and chicken schnitzel tasted fair to middling. The room was also very loud, filled with exclamations from the tables of "women who lunch," feeling more comfortable with no men at their tables. That's also a demographic and Minneapolis thing. I doubt I'll return to George and The Dragon. I like bars.
