I would have loved this a few years ago when I wouldn't bat an eye spending $9.00 on a bar of soap - a bar of soap!! Let that sink in, a bar of soap - for $9.00, NINE DOLLARS!! I loved walking around in here and making a mental note of me buying this-and-that, it was super tempting and entertaining, and a bit painful to my consumerist heart-at-heart. I used to love buying and buying things, loads of things, even soap. Cute soap, pirate soap, gardeny soap, flower soap, bug soaps, kid soaps, soaps with sayings, soap with rainbow colors, unicorn soap, blah blah blarghhhhhh Now I have an active dislike for spending so many dollars for soap. I buy it in bulk, the awful, green smelling stuff that comes in a pack of 12 for $12.99 that gets shoved under the bathroom sink and grows old, because I forgot I already bought soap and buy more soap at Sam's Club in bulk. Soap gets old too, you know. It gets old and brittle, and some have a slimy sheen, kind of like myself, as I age. I sure did love "mental" shopping in here, however. It was super fun. I am somewhat of a soap snob. I have fine dark blonde/light ashen brown hair which tends to get itchy and oily with most shampoos. I've kept it very short for the last 44 years and even shorter when in the Army. I do not like the feel of dirty, grungy hair. Over the years, I've used lots of shampoos and soaps. I've had to use field expedient ones when in the Army. (Tide powder will work but dilute and have plenty of water to rinse. I will not mention the others I've used.) Why tell you all of this? A great Yelp friend, Ariel W., wrote a review about one of her favorite soap companies, Basin. As they do web orders, I gave them a try! My favorite item is their "Hey Blondie" hair soap bar. It is a lemon based soap that satisfies all of my hair cleaning wants! I wish I had know of this miracle soap years before! They do have a lot of other soap bars for hair to include some conditioners. Best thing, is no liquid to get opened during travels! I would have loved this when camping, traveling or out playing soldier. Price is a little high per wash compared to some of the shampoos, but I love the results and it is worth it! They are easy to order from and product is well packaged for delivery. I also tried another of their products, a fresh soap called Almond Delight. It has the heavenly aroma of Almond and I guess the next time I need to chew my arm off, it will at least smell delicious! read more

One of my favorite stores! The staff here was great. They were so helpful at checkout. Many greeted me as I walked around. The male cashier was too funny. He was great. Everything smells so good there. I normally bumpy just bath bombs. But, this trip I treated myself to the soufflé and bath salts. I've missed this open, airy soap and scent shop at Disney Springs too many times to count. On my first visit, I was as enchanted as any woman would be with the chance to purchase stuff that smells good. Then I noticed the prices and, ultimately, passed on making any purchases. I would have gone for the solid perfumes, if it wasn't so pricey for what looked like barely a teaspoon of scent. That almond lotion smelled amazing - at first. Then, after a few moments I noticed the scent didn't hold and the lotion basically underperformed. Those of us who go all in on lotions and potions know from quality product. This is definitely my favorite cosmetics-type store that I've been to. It's very open and friendly and doesn't feel intimidating and dark like some others feel, and they don't pressure you into buying things. A very relaxing casual experience every time. All products are labeled natural and I do remember seeing a long list of unnatural or unhealthy commonly found chemicals or substances that they do not have in their products which is awesome to know. This store is located at Disney Springs, on the original side. They are open the same time as all the other shops here. This store is all about the body. Hair, face, body etc. They have hair shampoo, bath bombs, etc. The best thing and what I believe they started as is the decorative soap. Their soaps are filled with unique designs. They receive their soap is a large square and then cut them into individual pieces to sell. Everything is wrapped by hand and stickered by hand. My favorite is the Tahitian vanilla and of course the ones filled with little mickey heads. This is a fantastic place to make a gift basket for someone or bring a Disney gift home to someone. They are a little pricey especially for soap but they do smell really good. The most popular thing in the store is to try out the sugar or salt scrubs. They make your hands so super smooth and I will admit I will stop in just to wash my hands with the scrub! You definitely have to try it. We went all out at Disney Springs by splurging on Basin products. Such fun bath products. It's like the Lush of Disney. I wanted to buy all the unique soaps but the one that stuck out to me was the almond bar and watermelon bar. I also loved all the citrus bars and lemongrass ones. We also tried the shampoo bars but they didn't really leave a huge difference on hair. However, I will continue using to support plastic free products. The sales associate were nice and seemed very calm and relaxed. I'm probably the minority, but I really didn't enjoy were the salt scrubs. My hands felt incredibly sensitive and dedicate for days afterwards. I probably used too much or rubbed too hard at the sink. One minus one star for the "mystery goody bags." I was really excited about buying the bags because it eliminated my decision fatigue of which of all the fantastic products to buy and seemed like a good deal. However, when I opened my two mystery goodie bags, they were all Halloween and Valentine's Day products from last year!!! It's April so the products were at least 6- 10 months old. It consisted of chapsticks, a weird Halloween green body scrub, as Halloween fluorescent green colored soaps. Not exactly what I expected and super disappointed with the surprise bags. read more

This has been our go to stop every time we're in Disney. Back in the day, the DVC rooms would have a huge whirlpool tub. We'd buy a bath bomb and give the kids a bath in some cool smelling soaps. I absolutely LOVE this store. It is pricey, but if you're a lady who likes to be pampered, you'll love this store as well! The bath bombs are the bomb! I recommend going with the small ones and filling up a tube for $20. You can fit 7 of them in one tube. They have other scents in the larger bath bombs, but it only takes a half of those per bath. One of the sales women in the store recommended to me when I purchase the large ones to break them in half to get more for your money. These things make your bath such a relaxing experience. Also, if you have any type of muscle aches or pains, I highly recommend the "Therapy" bath bomb as they have epson salt in them and I guarantee it will help take some of those aches and pains away. I also really love the bath salts. If memory serves me correctly, they are $3.99 per tube and last for quite a few baths because you only need use 2-3 capfuls of the salts for each bath. They come in such heavenly scents, which, again, makes your bath so relaxing! They also have many soaps with designs in them and the scents compliment the designs, such as chocolate and cherries. It would take me forever to start naming them all, you'll just have to go see for yourself, but I'm sure you'll find many you love. I purchase those and keep them in a soap dish in my guest bathroom. They look lovely and I always get asked, "where did find the soap you have in your bathroom?" LOL I have yet to try the shampoo bars or the conditioner bars. Those are next on my list. They look small and they are pricey too, but they say they last for 50-75 hair washes. I'll have to pick some of those up on my next visit and I'll update my review to let you know how I like them. I probably walked by a dozen different merchants selling similar items to Basin a week prior to my visit to Disney Springs and never had any interest in entering. There was something different and welcoming about Basin, and I'm glad I stopped in. I ended up getting a couple different soaps that made for great souvenirs--the soap with the little Mickey ears inside it, how cute is that? Don't focus on just the smells, even some of the names are creative; the soap with the running horse on it is called "Giddy Up!" Most of the products can be tested out, and they make the process extremely easy. You must, must, must try the hand scrub, featured prominently at the center island with built-in sinks. Apply the scrub, lather for 30 seconds, then rinse. Even Freddy Krueger's hands would feel like silk after this stuff! The icing on the cake is really the service, all of the employees are extremely friendly, helpful, and accessible. read more

I won't do that so I scan the receipts after we leave and it counts towards points.
