First time at this location. I was able to get a last minute makeup appointment for my mom on nye. The artist Katie L did an amazing job and matched my mom's skin tone perfectly! She was so happy with the results. I watched some of the hair stylists in the salon and they were doing a great job with their clients as well. Everyone was super friendly on the sales floor. I really appreciated their expertise as I did my shopping for skin care. Something you can't get when shopping online. I spent way more than I wanted but it was worth it. I'm honestly concerned and saddened that my favorite employee hasn't been here in what feels like forever. She was always so helpful, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and she honestly made me want to buy so many products because of how great she was at helping me find things I loved. My best friend and I did some last minute Christmas running around and we stopped at this Ulta. She took advantage of a great special and managed to get her Tiffany's perfume which was $120 for all of $67 after the 30% special plus her added savings. I got a new Tree Hut scrub at 20% off to do some exfoliating and they leave a lovely scent. I have never really been an Ulta girlie until recently when I started actually caring about the products that I'm putting on my face and the ingredients in them. When you become pregnant, you have to be super careful about the chemicals and things you're placing on your skin which to be honest is not something I've ever been mindful of. I've spent some time educating myself and speaking with some of Ulta's skincare specialists which has been very helpful when deciding which products to buy. But don't be afraid to ask questions and verify that the person you're speaking with actually knows which ingredients pregnant women need to avoid. Clean beauty and organic doesn't necessarily mean that it's safe for pregnancy, which I learned when one specialist pretended like they knew what they were talking about and sold me hard on the Origins line of skincare products. One of the key ingredients in these products is salicylic acid which should be avoided during pregnancy. Hyaluronic acid, however, is safe. I've been really liking the Honest Beauty line lately and they actually have an entire prenatal skincare routine kit that you can get. Don't get me wrong, I also shop at Ulta for some of my other beauty needs like makeup and press-on nails, which I love the Glamnetic ones. I realized I have to go in there with a game plan and an idea of exactly what I'm looking for, otherwise I end up just roaming the aisles forever, overwhelmed with all the options lol. read more

I need to stop in to Alta today because the make up that I originally had got stolen. However I always come to Ulta to get my make up they always have very nice employees and are also very helpful. I got the Clinique dry powder and I got some under eye cream from elf. I also purchased the Lacombe lash lifting mascara, and I got a highlighter stick; and some lipgloss. I wasn't necessarily too happy about spending $85. However I needed to get new make up. Plus when you go over 50 they give you a little free gift! I would always recommend Ulta! 10/10 read more

Therefore, I would drive back to Jacksonville to my longtime stylist. We all know that's just not a good long-term solution so...I tried again. I ended up booking a haircut with Katie after another failure from a salon who lost my appointment. I went in a bit frustrated with other people and just wanted to get a haircut and not feel uncomfortable with the experience. This whole team is AMAZING. Katie gave me the perfect cut and didn't chop off too much. Everyone was super friendly and I had a great experience. This gave me confidence to get my color done. I've gone red for years but changed it up last year and regretted it. I got an appointment with Katie to fix the old and go red. She took her time color correcting and doing each part of the process. It took awhile, 6 hours, but I knew it would and was super comfortable at the salon. Everyone who chatted with us was nice and we all agreed she did a great job!! Love my hair and I'll definitely be coming back. Thank you! UPDATE: Red is not an easy color to keep up with, washed and fades fast. My daughter and I came into the store yesterday and we honestly had just an amazing experience all around. Everyone was so helpful. My daughter ended up getting her make up done and a lesson by Kat. She was so patient with her and just made her feel so special the entire time. My daughter is 11 and not once did I feel judged that she was in here getting a make up lesson. After that, I also ended up getting my eyebrows waxed by Breana who did a flawless job on my eyebrows and really took her time. And I wish I've got the woman's name who booked both of these appointments for me. She was so friendly and so helpful and she brought such a positive mood to the atmosphere. I went up and shoveled around for a long time and you can see the grass thru the snow so it's not like you shouldn't be able to see it easily. went to the local store and they will not help but to give me a phone number which I already had emailed. so I call and the best they can do is resend it which I asked for it to be expedited for my granddaughters birthday in 5 days and they would not help at all. very poor service. Dante was so amazing! I came in for one product and ended up leaving with makeup and skincare for myself and my wife. He was so pleasant and helped color match both of us and recommended some great products that I am excited to use. He gave us some samples of some other things we were looking at! The customer service is honestly horrible, the employees are chasing you to see if you are going to take anything from the store. The attention when paying is so false and with a lot of lack of kindness. I remember asking a girl that I received an email for my birthday reminding me that Ulta had a gift for me. I would personally like to thank Stephanie for recommending a serum when I told her my skin was dull and I wanted my skin to glow. I was hesitant at first because it seemed a bit pricey but she told me a little goes a long way and the bottle should last about 6 months. My skin is so f**king bright! If I could select no stars I would. I've had my haircut at an Ulta for the last ten years. My stylist no longer was at the location i would pass two Ultas to get to so I decided I'd try the one closest to me this time. I made an appointment online. Well, I sat down and asked for my usual haircut. An asymmetrical Bob with an undercut and said I'd like to take the undercut a little higher this time though. The stylist said, "I don't do mens hair." Since when is any long haircut with an undercut "men's hair"??? What she should have said is that is a clipper cut and I'm not certified to do clipper cuts. But instead what came out of her mouth hit me as a bigoted comment to my obvious lesbian alternative haircut. I'm headed to a barber. I'll probably never go to an Ulta again. read more

I have been to this location twice in the last month and have been very satisfied on both visits. I was excited to learn that they started carrying a brand that I love. Before this, I would have to order online and have it shipped. Not anymore. Their website allowed me to see if the products I wanted were available in the store and from there I ordered online for pickup. When I arrived, I was in and out within a couple of minutes. Brayden is amazing and deserves a raise. I went in for a new skin tint and was swatching different products to find my skin tone. Three beauty advisors walked into the isle where only I was and completely ignored me. The store was very slow. I approached a sales associate to ask them if there was more of a product in stock, this is when Brayden, who was standing near by, offered an alternative that would suit my skin complexion. He spent time with me and my fiancé, educating us and demoing products and explained why they would suit us versus an alternative. A truly wonderful experience because of him. Although I'm not much into make-up and such, Ulta has a way of drawing you in to their world of beauty. Before you even enter the store, you are aware of how brightly lit and Ulta store is and you can see the variety of products through their huge glass windows. Upon entering, I stopped to look around as my eyes were taking in all of the bright colors, well-done displays and all the avenues to the different aisles. I was on the hunt for a birthday gift for one of my sisters, who is into make-up and all things glamorous. There are so many choices, so I wandered around the store quite a few times before making a selection. The one negative aspect of my shopping experience was that no one ever offered to help me. There were sales associates roaming the aisles and the store wasn't busy, so I'm not sure why no one offered their assistance. During previous visits, sales associates are usually very helpful, so this appears to be a rare occurrence. The check out process was fast, but if you come when the store is busier, you usually have to wait in line for a while, but at least there are plenty of items to look at as you move through the line. Ulta is usually one of my go-to places to shop for my female friends and they are always happy with a gift from Ulta. So, I'll keep coming back as long as my gal pals keep having birthdays and special occasions to shop for. read more

Do not use the the salon. I have golden blond hair and went in for a root touch up and cut, and came out with ashy brown hair. After 5 1/2 hours they wanted me to come in the next day. Then called me and said they would have to charge me. Ridiculous! I paid a real color stylist $500 to fix my hair. Frankie was my stylist and he was very unprofessional and should not be on the floor. Brandi was the manager, and never apologized. I went into Ulta on Saturday. At first I was just browsing but I was in the perfume section for a while because I had been wanting to get new and nicer perfumes for the longest time. Collette saw that I was interested and immediately helped me by pointing out a few of her favorites and describing all the scents of the different perfumes. Collette was so fun to talk to and made me feel so welcome by allowing me as much time as I needed to smell all the different perfumes.
