Negative stars 1-2 hour wait to be seen, 1 hour wait in room, 20-40 min wait in hallway to check out. Waiting area is too full, not enough places to sit. More people coming in than being taken back. Wait in room with door open and music blaring. Dr running from room to room yelling orders to staff. Not really talking to patients or explaining what is going on or needes. Wait in hallway to check out while girl types a key at a time with a pen. Wait for a call back - never gonna happen. They may not even have notes about your visit or rx the dr said would be ordered. Or deny they ordered blood work when they gave you the paper. read more

Dr. Brunner received her undergraduate education at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin and attended medical school at the NY College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating, she completed a three-year surgical residency at the NY Methodist Hospital in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Through these various experiences, Dr. Brunner has been extensively trained in diabetic foot management, forefoot surgery and wound care. Dr. Brunner provides care to nursing home residents at facilities in both Midland and Odessa. The facilities in Midland include Terrace West Nursing Home, Legacy Ranch Memory Care Center, and Desert Gardens Nursing Home. The facilities in Odessa include, Deerings Nursing Home, Parks Methodist Retirement Village, and Orchard Parks Nursing Home and Retirement. All that being said, my son, who is now 25, was diagnosed with childhood onset Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 7, and is the one who highly recommended Dr Prassad to me. He had nothing but praises for Dr Prassad a well as the entire staff @ Permian Internal Medicine Associates in Odessa. And lastly, as a T1D mom, when my son told me how stable his daily blood sugars have been, as well as his 3 month A1C checks all being within range, I was clearly elated! It already took 45 minutes just for the technician to see me, and I thought the optometrist would surely see me soon after so I continued waiting. I should have left. I finally left 2 1/2 hours later. They don't respect your time. When the doctor finally met me, he insulted my glasses. He also didn't ask my goals for the appointment. Multiple times I had to correct him that I was not interested in glasses, I wanted contacts. I also received an an incorrect prescription. The prescription gave me a headache, which I told them about. They told me to try it out and it might have just been because I waited long. I still have a headache after multiple attempts of trying the new prescription. They also made numerous clerical mistakes and called me multiple times when I said I would be busy. They called me multiple times to confirm. I returned their call a few hours later, but they continued to call because they made a mistake copying my insurance down which I confirmed with them a week prior. I noticed several other mistakes they copied wrong. I'm not sure if they are even trying. I would go somewhere else.

When I first tried to wear contacts I couldn't put them in and he told me I had the worst case of "pokophobia" he'd ever seen. OTOH, when I came to him because I woke up with terribly blurred vision he sent me to an Eye Clinic for a more in-depth examination, and when they could not find the cause he sent me to a retinolologist who found that I had suffered a stroke in my eye. He was able to treat me and although it took some time, today I have almost the same level of vision I had before the stroke. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Schitoskey.
