Began membership for our family under old ownership a few years ago. Things have gone way down in the pool area, and restaurant since then. T he pool is in terrible need of resurfacing. Constant foot cuts and bleeding are the norm. The inner basketball court area is in terrible need of a coat of paint. The vast amounts of green space surrounding the pool use to be great for the kids to throw a ball or play games. It's no longer allowed. No in depth pool rules are posted on the website or at the pool facility. And yet lifeguards constantly blow their whistles for the most minor things. Without rules, who knows why or what you can or cannot do. Further the swim managers encourage constant whistles being blown by lifeguards and it makes the entire swim area very, very tense. The restaurant, which has been closed for renovation for many, many months reopened only to offer very standard and uninspired items. And very, very little for non-meat options. This will be our last season with this club, unless management makes the necessary changes, as there are countless great clubs and pools in our area. read more

Had my son's first birthday party here and it's a beautiful space, location, and great food. Special events director on the other hand was very condescending to my family and I. She was aggressive in her responses when I asked questions about setup to the point I had to walk away. In addition, her staff rushed us through my booked time at the venue because they had an event after ours. It is unfortunate that the excitement of the day was dampened with such negativity. They shouldn't open up the space for nonmembers if they are going to make us feel unwelcomed. read more

This place was amazing! I celebrated a dear friend's wedding here and at I first I thought, I've never eaten at a golf club before until today. The service was amazing! The servers were very attentive and were very nice. The dance floor was enough for a small wedding and the ceremony where it was held was very beautiful even though there were people golfing in the background. I really enjoyed my experience at this place and they have a really nice garden. read more

Delicious Heights is no longer there. I guess it was about time because the quality of the food was declining, not sure if related to the pandemic or not. It is now known as Twenty-Six Tavern. The new restaurant offers decent selection made by executive chef Angel Rivera of which I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with a bit. The food is very tasty. Came here for Easter brunch and really enjoyed it. The buffet was presented very nicely. All food was fresh and always refilled. There was even a section of children's food available. From cheeses, breads, salads, a carving station, hot chafing dishes, to the freshly baked muffins, bagels and Danish, all food was very well done and prepared nicely. There was also. A dessert table with lots of choices. Staff was very pleasant, always refilled the drinks and promptly took away the used plates. I would return here for another holiday brunch without hesitation! read more

My family used to be regular diners at the BRCC when the restaurant was Delicious Heights. The service was wonderful! The outdoor dining was beyond exceptional! The food options for children was the best in Morris County. Since the restaurant became Twenty-Six Tavern, our family has been unable to eat there. We used to dine at the restaurant upwards of twice a week in the spring/summer/fall months, specifically for the wonderful outdoor dining. Now, the restaurant only offers 4-top tables and refuses to move seats of chairs to accommodate larger families. Not to mention the menu options for children deteriorated greatly, they don't even offer plain pasta with butter! It's such a disappointment, because we were regulars and often brought other families for the outdoor dining experience, but it seems the new management doesn't want families to dine anymore. Just finished eating and was not impressed in the slightest. We sat down and waited for over twenty minutes to order anything even drinks. The staff walked by without acknowledging us for over twenty minutes. When we finally ordered one dish came out over ten minutes before the rest of the tables food, and the drinks still had not arrived. Needless to say we will not be back!!! read more

I have been here two years in a row for Their Easer buffet. That is my only experience with the country club. On both occasions, the food was very good. I was told there was a new chef in 2015. The food choices were similar as 2014 but some things were different. There were many choices to satisfy just about anyone's desire. There was even a small section with kids food. Come on, who can resist that stuff anyway. They had a carving station and omelet station as well. Shrimp and crab were also served. The salads and cheese selection was excellent, plentiful and consistently replenished. In 2014 there was an ice cream bar for dessert. There was none in 2015. While I enjoyed the desserts, and they were certainly fresh, ice cream makes the world a better place. My wine glass had lipstick from the gal before me. The waiter quickly took it back and brought me a new glass when I brought it to his attention. I realize they are putting a lot of people through the place and it can happen. They were very efficient at organizing people, having enough food and being attentive. I would highly recommend it. read more

My husband and I chose BRCC as our wedding venue for a several reasons: 1. We wanted either a barn wedding or tent wedding and BRCC had a tent! 2. Stephanie Bailey who we worked with made us feel at ease and was so friendly and helpful! I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with on our big day!! 3. Price. Terrible in every way. Twenty six tavern replaced Delicious Heights at Basking Ridge Country Club, and I would say stay away. When I sat down on my chair, I realized I was too far from the table. I stood up slightly, gripped the sides of the chair cushion, pulled the chair forward and sat down. Except my finger got caught in between the seat cushion and the frame, and that motion crushed my finger. The two pieces had separated and my finger was caught in the middle. I tried to ignore the pain, but couldn't. The manager Matt walked by, and I said to him that my finger was throbbing after jamming it between the cushion and frame, and Matt apologized. And that was it. So I held up my finger and showed him it was red, puffy, and my nail was broken. Again he said, "I'm sorry. We'll take care of that." Then he walked away. Nothing. No replacing my chair right away. Matt knew my friend and I were celebrating our mutual birthday at lunch. No slice of cake. Nothing. I decided to call the GM of the Basking Ridge country club to discuss this with him. Three voice mails over the course of 5 days. No response. I was furious and annoyed over the fact that my finger was throbbing, my nail was broken (waste of a manicure), and my attempts at speaking with the GM were ignored, dading insult to actual injury. On top of that, my portobello mushroom sandwich contained the smallest portobello I've ever seen, and was bland. For $15. A mushroom on a bun. $15. Tastless on all accounts. This meal was overpriced, cost me additional money afterward, and caused me pain. Great birthday celebration. What a waste of my time. read more

Great course, wonderful for all skill levels. I joined for the 2013 season and found the membership, course, facilities and overall experience to be fantastic. The course is well maintained and is in great condition year round. Layout is perfect for all skill levels, beginners won't find it too challenging to enjoy themselves, and more experienced players are continually challenged by the green complexes and hole layouts. The restaurant, pro shop, and facilities are top notch, very accommodating, very welcoming, great place to spend time on the weekends. Overall, highly recommended. read more

Played here today. Great course, well kept greens and fairways, good distance, about 6900 from the tips, 6450 from the whites. Nice elevation changes in the back 9. Private, so you need to know a member to get you on. practice area 200 yds deep off mats, 2 practice greens, chipping and bunker practice areas. no cart girl which was a bummer. good bar in the clubhouse. I would play again, and it's not ridiculously far from NYC. read more

This review is for their banquet facility. My wife had her baby shower here in September of 2014. For obvious reasons, I did not attend the shower but my wife was very impressed with everything and she enjoyed her shower. The room is very nice as it overlooks the golf course which translates into a great view. We would both recommend. We dealt with the banquet manager, Stephanie, from start to finish and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was professional and incredibly responsive which always translates into a positive experience. I would highly recommend working with her. The nice part about this shower was that some of my friends and family were able to hang out at the Delicious Heights Outpost which is located directly below the banquet rooms. It makes it incredibly convenient for anyone traveling a little far. They can relax and hang out. All in all, it was a very good experience and I wouldn't hesitate to book something here again in the future. read more

Basking Ridge Country Club, set in the North West Area of New Jersey offers a challenging yet playable course. The course offers tee areas for all golfers regardless of their level of skill. Staffs, both in the pro shop and the administration of the course are open to all golfer suggestions and go out of their way to ensure a memorial day of golfing. The 12, 13 and 14 holes are the "Amen Corner" of this course offering a challenge with almost 1400 yards of play over the three holes and a raised green guarded by a number of traps on the 13th par 5. One of the best, most accommodating, and friendliest country clubs I've played. My buddies and me won the foursome at a golf event, so we are not members. From the moment we arrived at the club to the minute we left, the staff - pro shop, starters and rangers - all went out of their way to make us feel like members. I can't tell you how many times during the round the range stopped to ask if everything was good and if we were enjoying the round and the course. I had a chance to play at BRCC on July 4th with my son. The course is immaculate. It's as if you're standing on carpet when in fact, you're on the fairway. The greens played well and not slow. I've only played this course one other time and still can't get over how well it's maintained. I highly recommend a membership to this course to any individuals, families or corporations. This review is for BRCC Catering --- if you're looking to plan an event there -- do it!! I cannot rave enough about BRCC and Danielle specifically - we met with her for our initial tour and she was a big part of the reason we chose BRCC. She was so responsive to our initial inquiries (we never waited more than 24 hours for an email back - sometimes it was as little as 5 minutes) and she was so friendly and made us feel like our wedding was important to her. After we signed our contract, that didn't change. Danielle was so attentive and so easily approachable to ask questions. She was willing to help us every step of the way, and she made the entire experience so much less stressful because of that. Our day itself was absolutely perfect. Everyone at BRCC did their best so that we never had to ask for anything, including putting a small dray of passed appetizers in the bridal suite for me and my husband. The staff was super friendly, and all of our guests had so much fun. They are raving about the food (including our friends and family members who are chefs) and we agree! Especially the cheesesteak sliders during the cocktail hour!!! I'm still hungry for them! Our decorations were put out exactly as we pictured them, and everything was absolutely beautiful. People have had such nice things to say about the beautiful ballroom and grounds. We absolutely could not have picked a better venue to hold our wedding at. We are so, so happy with how everything turned out and we really feel that we got a great value for our money. We had visited BRCC first during our venue search and we visited a few more venues just to make sure we saw what was out there, and the value within our price range couldn't be beat. We got so much more for our money at BRCC than other comparatively priced venues. We would recommend them to anyone, and I'm already trying to think of reasons I could hold another event there!! read more
