But I just played it again and my experience was complete opposite this time. The course is clearly not being taken care of the way it used to be. The pace of play is absolutely outrageous. Came here on the weekend as a group of 4 and we were playing at an average to rushed pace and the group behind us literally started screaming to hurry up and were up our asses the entire time. It didn't help that management allowed them to tee up literally 5 mins after us. Then an old guy that worked there came out on his cart on multiple holes and told us to hurry up. I said we're not exactly playing slow so I don't know what you want from us. For the money we paid (which was way too much for this place) we should be able to have fun and play at a relaxed pace. This is supposed to be a peaceful game. I 100% will never be coming back here again after this experience.

After about a 5 minute warm up period hitting some balls, Jeff made some adjustments to my backswing and grip that has worked wonders. I worked with Ryan, very good experience working with him, knowledgable, patient, and was able to pinpoint some of my issues right away. Within one lesson he had my swing plane and ball striking much improved. Went from hitting an 8 iron 130-135 to 150, and taking the big hook/draw off my ball. A recurring injury has slowed me down quite a bit in recent months, but looking to head back when i'm ready, hopefully i start off where i left off. Only issue would be that if you go out for a course lesson it counts more towards your lessons.....1 course lesson counts as more days than an indoor lesson, they didn't mention that to me up front (still worth doing though).

The location is always clean and all of the equipment is always in working order. Not only had Brian been teaching me sound fundamental golf techniques, (which has greatly improved my ball striking) he has also expertly fitted me with all new clubs. I have to say that if your equipment is several years old you owe it to yourself to upgrade your equipment, (these guys are the ones to fit you ). From practice to course play, lessons to the cool leagues, fitting to new equipment (even repairs) this is a one stop shop. J.T. and Gio are both extremely knowledgeable, and their teaching gives real world results without the judgment. What I appreciated the most from lessons with these two is the no BS way they teach. They will give you the raw, unadulterated truth on what you're doing that's holding you from your goal (mine was a slice off the tee), how to fix it, what that fix is supposed to FEEL like, and how to repeat the fix with as little input as possible. What sets them apart from a lot of coaches is they expect you to be honest with yourself, and hold yourself accountable to what works and that really resonates with me. Since my lessons to fix my driver woes my handicap has dropped 4 full points, I'm averaging 290 yards (from 272 via Arccos data tracking), and have improved to 52% FIR (from 28%). They're already the most reasonably priced indoor simulator club anywhere, and those lessons were worth every penny. Plus, J.T. and Gio are just good guys to hang around. I took my first lesson with the golf pro, Fred Smalls. Within a few swings he noticed a few things,…read moresuch as my foot alignment, ball placement, and hand position during my backswing. He recorded a few swings and showed me what I was doing in slow motion. He then showed me how to make the improvements and gave me an at home drill. Those minor changes, with a little practice, improve my ball flight and my score. I'm very happy with the lesson and look forward to go back for more fine tuning on the driver and irons and then the short game and putting. I highly recommend a lesson with Fred.

Came here on a Saturday morning with friends. It was my first time going to TopGolf and after…read morehearing the raving reviews, I was very excited for my experience. I was so surprised that the place was pretty busy on a Saturday at 930am. The demographic was quite diverse from families with kids to people with friends and to couples. Lots of people brought their own clubs too. (Don't worry, they provide clubs and label them with large beginner ones too). The bays were comfortable. They had heating when it was about 50 and drizzling outside and I felt comfortable and warm. The games were easy to set up. I feel like I didn't fully grasp how to play and was just swinging the ball out there for the fun of it (still somehow ranked 2nd place among my friends :P) Our attendant was super helpful and checked in on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The menu wasn't as expensive as I had imagined which is a plus too. The food did take a little bit of time to come out. Wish they provided water for the bays and napkins. I appreciated my time and can see the appeal. I'm glad there's one opening closer to me so hopefully I can go again and get a better grasp on the game!

It was relatively slow, along with the service. Though we had a good time, our server was a little slow and at times hard to track down. We had to flag the server in the bay next to us. The food didn't come out right. We got boneless wings but received bone-in wings. Rather than letting us have them, manager took them back. Food was OK, as it always is here, but the mix up didn't help our overall service. We also never got one of our other orders - the flatbread. Still a fun time, but service could be improved.

Poor customer service and zero flexibility for an honest mistake…read more On 4/15 around 7:20pm, I accidentally booked the wrong tee time (4/16 instead of 4/18). I realized it immediately and tried to call the clubhouse, but it was already closed. There is also no option to cancel or modify a booking online, so there was no way to fix the mistake that night. I called first thing the next morning and was told "tough luck" and I would be charged the full fee with no ability to receive a credit or make a change. I understand having policies to protect against no-shows, but this situation was clearly different. I attempted to correct my error right away and was given no option to do so. A simple credit or rebooking option would have been a reasonable solution. Instead, there was no flexibility or willingness to work with me on an honest mistake. I've played a lot of courses, and this is the least accommodating experience I've had when trying to resolve a simple booking error.

Great course in the middle of Newark, don't tell too many people about this newly renovated course.read more
