Don't touch them. The clinical staff are decent enough, BUT they are one of these surgeries that corners you upon departure to pay the difference between the projected insurance coverage and your personal portion for the visit. Annoying as that is it leads to massive confusion with billing as they will not send you a statement/invoice if the full amount is met, then bill separately for anything that they do (mole removal) under a seperate bill taking a portion of your pre payment for the second bill leading to massive confusion. This is then followed by a further bill from an outsource company as they send it to a third party for analysis. But the second bill and the third party bill use the same terms. For a simple mole removal you end up spending hours trying to work out the billing....including phone calls emails to multiple people before you end up going to the third party who explain everything for you. For your own sanity go elsewhere OR if you do go there refuse to pay them anything out of pocket until you have got a bill. Keep in mind I was simple, lord help you if you are more complex read more

However, when you're dealing with the front office staff and billing department more than you are the providers and constantly having problems, why go? You shouldn't. I was searching for a new dermatologist with the latest cutting edge treatments this was not it. Got another strong Cortisone cream that just thinned my skin and made it constantly peel even worse. I had high hopes but no. I was charged an absorbent amount of money to see their physicians assistant for her to use me as a teaching process. I told her I've had eczema on my hands mainly since I was 3 (I'm 50 now) and she made me do a punch biopsy which surprise- it was eczema!! I don't know what else to do for my eczema since the pandemic begun it's been absolutely awful on my hands I'm guessing it from all the chemicals they've been spraying all over the shopping carts etc? I'm not even really working anymore where I'd normally have all the irritants to my sensitive skin. Back to the drawing board.. read more

Heard good things about this practice so I came here for my annual skin check instead of my previous dermatologist because their office is a bit further than I'd like to drive. Once I got in the exam room, the nurse asked why I had come in and I rattled off a list of about 5 things, i wanted an annual skin check, I had a little bump I wanted her to look at and discuss removing, I wanted to discuss botox since it had been a while, and I have a skin tag I also wanted removed. The nurse came back with the PA, and she did the skin check, biopsied two suspicious spots and left. The nurse said to put my clothes back on. When she came back in she gave me a sheet of paper and gave me directions out the door. They only addressed one of the issues we discussed and I was so flustered I just left. Why did she even ask what I came for? The office called a while later and said the two freckles they had biopsied were both "severely atypical" and I needed them excised. I've had a few spots excised and none of them have ever come back atypical at my previous office so I was surprised. I scheduled the first excision for a few months later and didn't think it would be a big deal. The guy doing the excision was super odd and it seemed like it was a horrible inconvenience to be there. The thread broke while he was stitching and he seemed SO annoyed about it which made me super uncomfortable. Did he think it was my fault? My scar was and still is super puckered at both ends because I think he removed more of a circular shape and less of a diamond to avoid the puckering. It was honestly one of the most unpleasant medical experiences I've had. I'll be returning to my previous dermatologist to get a second opinion on the second mole before I get it removed. I'm also surprised about the review that said they wouldn't allow a mom in the room for a procedure because there were 3 staff members in the room during mine and nobody was wearing a mask, not even the guy doing the excision. read more

I am a healthcare worker and know for a fact I was out of the way and in no way anywhere near the "sterile field" when my daughter called she was told " yes" I could be in the room... non the less Dr Franco was extremely rude and definitely uncaring! He had no empathy for her discomfort at all! Terrible practice! Another place closer to us bickered on and on about the kind of supplemental Medicaid my sister had and refused us a scheduled 8 am appointment when my sister was inA WHEELCHAIR. Was able to make my initial appointment without much wait time. Other dermatology offices had 6 month out appointments.. here, if I remember correctly, was more like 2-3 months. I asked to be put on a cancellation wait list for earlier appt and they delivered! I forgot the time of my appointment and showed up early so went up the street for a hearty breakfast. Came back at the right time, filled out their electronic forms on the iPad and was called back pretty quickly. I've never had a skin cancer check done before and wasn't sure what to expect. The nurse asked me a bunch of questions before the doctor came in. The doctor who performed the skin check seemed very thorough and informed me before doing anything what they would be doing, and why. sorry, forgot her name. She was very calm and had great bedside manners for me since I was a little freaked out and nervous. She found some spots that needed to be tested and had to take samples.. it felt like a pinch and stung a little but not too bad. Was in and out in less than an hour.. I was a little anxious for the results but received a phone call in a timely manner that there was nothing to worry about. I would recommend and will return for my annual. Thank you! read more

I'll keep going here but not a great experience overall. Concerns: had a follow up appointment from some areas that were biopsied, looked at two but because I had questions about a chemo procedure they are recommending, they didn't have time to check one place on my back. Have no real explanation, just come back. Assume they have strict times for each appointment. Called with questions about chemo procedure but no return call, would prefer they have access to patient portal to make questions easier. Asked a couple times about topical products they sell, was told they are expensive and really weren't helpful. Accused me of not confirming an appointment but luckily I had a picture of the text messages on my phone. I don't think they get how scary cancer is to people. They don't listen very well. read more

Andrea Trombetta is amazing! I was a little reluctant at first re: this office because she found skin cancer in my 21 year old and sure enough she was dead on! Also went in for myself and of all of the places I've been this was by far the most thorough full body skin check. She takes her time and is very knowledgeable & extremely effective in her profession! Very serious because at the end of the day her job is extremely important! The office is really organized and clean the people are so nice and so personable I really love it! We had 3 appointments in same day for our family and all were seamless so far a few skin checks and biopsies on the way! Thanks Andrea! When reached out to, to see if they would do laser hair removal for medical purpose a lady I spoke to on the phone who identified herself as the office manager said they would not be willing to as insurance would not cover it. Although I for a fact that is not true and BCBSIL does cover it under very specific circumstances and my amazing esthetician just retired this year. Highly unhelpful and not willing to spend anytime talking on the phone to gain a new patient. read more

I have been to 20-30 dermatologists in my life dealing with severe eczema to the point I can't move my joints . I have been on and off on steroids which help calm it down . I goggled this place and let me tell you the reviews aren't lies . I have never been to such a great doctors office in my life not only is the staff super friendly so is the doctor . I've seen Dr. Basko at a different practice earlier this year to treat my acne. Since then, I knew that I would only see her for any dermatology concerns. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and is very thorough in explaining the path that she thinks is best for you and your lifestyle. Today I came to her new practice for her to look at a mole that appeared two years ago. The new facility is so beautiful and immaculately clean. Love the pop of pink! There was no wait time when i arrived for my appointment. The medical assistant suggested that I get a skin check since I was there anyway. I've never gotten one done before so I agreed. Dr. Basko made sure to let me know what she was doing every step of the way and she continued to ask how I was doing. I can be a baby with needles! But the removal of the mole was quick and painless. Wonderful profession and very helpful! My face was soft and acne less and then I had a breakout that one dr could not fix which ended up burning and on my face causing me to not to want to leave the house. I am beyond thrilled that I found such an amazing doctor ! After going to 3 different, top notch places for botox and not being 100 % happy , I decided to give it a try after reading all the positive reviews. First I have to say they are so flexible with the time of appointments. We all have such a busy lives and they got me in a short notice and very later afternoon. The office is modern , super clean and has such a good vibes .. All the ladies are and polite and welcoming . Didnt wait at all in the lobby , like not even 5 min ! And then Dr Basko ? Wow .. She explained every single detail, made me so comfortable and didnt push at all to sell me other services ( unlike other places ) But , I did ask for more after I realized Im in great hands here ... took tons of pictures, made sure Im happy before I left , called next day to check on me and even made appt in 2 weeks to come and make sure Im happy with the results! First review I have ever left of yelp. I would like to encourage other to seek out other dermatologist options. My wife went in for a quick check up on a few spots that were questionable. Taking the precautionary we had some questionable moles removed. Awesome! Well no one mentioned the god awful work done. My wife has a terrible scar on her leg and a raised keloided scar just above her bicep(Her words). Today was the icing on the cake. Now this company who we've paid on time every single month call and text saying " FINAL ATTEMPT TO COLLECT PAST DUE BALANCE WE'VE TRIED TO CONTACT YOU TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS COLLECTION ECT. I have every statement. Overall just a poor poor experience that will be living with my wife until hopefully the scar creams work. Poor overall business model and service highly would NOT recommend. You feel like a wallet not a patient. Hopefully this saves someone from the unnecessary headaches and poor work by Dr. Basko and her team. I would give it zero star if I can. I called this place and scheduled a laser freckles removal appointment. They told me that I have to go for a consultation first. It cost $70. Because They have good reviews, so I thought it's worth to spend 70 dollars to find a good place, but I was wrong. They don't care what a customer wants they just do what they want. When I made this appointment I told them I want to remove freckles on my face crystal clear. When I got to the office, Doctor Basko came in, she checked my freckles and told me that she is not sure if it's a skin cancer or sun spot, she wants me to do a type of skin test for it. I was confused, and I told her that I don't need to do any test, I just want to know how much the laser freckles removal cost, she told me that they don't do lasers freckles removal, I was totally confused. They didn't even know what I was there for. When I mentioned I came for nothing and I have to spend 70 dollars, Doctors Basko said she reports this visit as a medical purpose, so I shouldn't be charged, I said if I have copay I sill have to pay out of pocket, then she checked the system and told me that there is 0 balance, I don't need to pay anything. But yesterday I received a $73.92 balance statement. So they charged my $195 for the visit, and after insurance I pay 73.92. I called the office and tried to figure out what was going on. All they told me was the doctor checked my freckles and I need to pay, they didn't even mention their mistakes and didn't feel sorry at all. I have to pay for their mistakes now, it's ridiculous. I had been looking for a dermatologist closer to where I live instead of driving an hour away and having to wait 1-2 months just to see my primary dermatologist. I was glad I found Dr. Juliana Basko Plluska, initially I just called the office to see if they would take my insurance, her staff was so kind and professional. The receptionist took my information and said she would give me a call back if there was any issue. And to my surprise she asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment I was like YESS! I happy that I didn't have to wait months to get in to see the doctor. The system they have going makes it so convenient for patients at least I think so. I filled out medical history at home online, created a profile. Saved me time and I arrived early. The receptionist checked me in, signed a few consent forms on the ipad. My appointment was at 1:30pm but the Dr. attended me 15 minutes earlier which was awesome! Her staff helping her out in the patient rooms are so nice and helpful. Dr. was great answered all my questions, very professional, friendly. What I liked most was that she wasn't in a rush she took her time. If you are looking for a dermatologist come see Dr. Juliana Basko Plluska she is absolutely the best. I will be returning for sure. Oh Yeaa I forgot to mention her office is so chic and cute !
