The hilton hotel people held me hostage. I told them I don't have a car to drive, money to spend, or time to travel and they wouldn't accept no for an answer. I had to say "I'm walking away now, goodbye". Truly a terrible experience trying to bowl on my birthday. I was so upset by the experience being utterly hassled and made to feel like I was poor that me and my friends left immediately. Go here to buy anything but firearms. Went in 6/9/25 to purchase or pick up my purchased Glock 43x and was a hassle. About 2 hours to fill out the paperwork and then by law the 3 day waiting period to come back and pick the firearm up. After the 3 days I went back, had to fill out more paperwork for some reason? So there was another 2 hours. An employee, kept playing with my firearm that I had just purchased. Out of the 3 employees he was the only one doing it as the other 2 seems to be older and more mature the he was. He must've been new. I'll continue to buy my firearms at the smaller local businesses. Went there today and was not impressed! Fishing equipment was all the way at the back of the building and most of the hooks were empty! The registers are all the way up front and you don't see them because everything is taller. Dogs were all over the place which a surprise and pretty disgusting! Then when you get to the register it's a woman sitting on a chair, rude and not welcoming at all. Asked me for my phone number to print a receipt. They used to be one of my favorite places to visit as a child because of the fish tanks and waterfalls...but now it just seems always to be pretty girls trying to hand out "sign up for this program" bonus bags being thrown at you as you walk in the door before you can even spot the waterfall now days Did I mention the giant fish tank holding a couple thousands of water in them, was being help on to by literally two clamps. Do not shop here I stopped in looking for small backpack, in camping section they had backpacks sitting on hook with price of 39.99 but tag said $60 bald associate tried everything he could to get the bag out of my hands and sell me a different more expensive bag, because " that one is on the wrong hook" according to associate even though the tag clearly states the brand and model are the same! after I left the area to get the manager he hide the bag on a more expensive display rack. I love this place so much. We went to Peoria Illinois to visit my sister for Thanksgiving and we always make sure we stop at Bass Pro Shops to do some Christmas shopping while we're there. It seems like Bass Pro Shops is the only place that will make a button down shirt that actually fits somebody that is 6 foot 2 LOL. Now to be fair this place was a absolute zoo and they were a gazillion people everywhere doing the same thing I was doing which made the experience a little less enjoyable. It's a great place to take your kids because they have a massive aquarium / fish tank lots of stuff mounts and there is an RC car display as well as ATV equipment that can climb on all the sales associates are very nice and seem to know everything about this place. I really wish there were a Bass Pro Shops a lot closer to my home the closest one is about 2 1/2 hours away. read more

Spent 3 hours like it was nothing. So much to see and do. Started in the Uncle Buck's Fish Bowl & Grill...yes, BOWLING! This place is very cool. 12 bowling lanes, ball & shoe rental, cosmic bowl...in the middle of the restaurant! It's not even that loud to where it will disrupt your meal. I have included some pics with this review, but they don't do the place justice. I'm getting sidetracked...back to the restaurant. Food is excellent. I got a burger that had a nice char to it and was easily 1/2 pound. Fries are battered, but tasty. Came with coleslaw which was very creamy & flavorful. All for about $8. Place also has a full bar (with HUGE saltwater fish tank) so I went with a Sam Adams to top off my lunch. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich. It was extremely tender & had good (not great) seasonings. My son had the fried shrimp from the kids menu and it was (apparently) delicious. He's not much of an eater (4 year old) but he couldn't stop putting away these shrimps! Total bill was around $32 excluding tip. Now let's talk about the ambiance. It was amazing! Like you were literally underwater. They have hanging & mounted ocean fish of various sizes & species. There are numerous projectors aimed toward the ceiling that provide a motion effect that makes you feel like you're really under water. We couldn't get enough of it. Being 40-degrees outside, we often forgot we weren't in Florida on a vacation. Fantastic! Here's their description: An island-theme bar area, which has seating for 20, offers visitors the experience of feeling like they are underwater exploring the skeletal remains of a sunken ship. It's good to know that this company seems to think it can ignore Illinois gun laws. When approved by the Illinois state police back ground check they still would not give me a "pellet gun" because store policy states I must have an email from the state saying I have applied for a new one. Funny thing is another "big box" sporting goods store said they wouldn't need an email cause the card is still valid per the ISP site. I went to a local sporting goods store and walked out with the gun same day. When I go to the website and try to email the manager, that option is also inactive. We waited in.ths shoe department for almost 30 minutes for a young man with glasses to wait on us. He stated he was already helping a customer. "Marshall," another employee clocked in and we got shoes and were on our way in 3 minutes. Thanks, Marshall. Upon checking out, the cashier's register froze so she had us carry all our purchases to another register. We paid cash and the second cashier had trouble making change without being told what the change should be (more register issues). I'm a Mom of boys so I've been to Bass Pro a LOT. My sons have sold me on it, and the fact that we can bring our dogs along is so great too! The Santa/ Easter Bunny events are so well done and the free pictures are so nice. My kids love bowling and even walking around is fun for them at Bass Pro. We've attended and hosted birthday parties here. No matter what we are doing, we always have a great time. The staff is so kind, it's always clean, and they do so much for families. We recently attended a VIP event, and it was fantastic!! The food was excellent!! It was catered from several local companies, as well as by Bass Pro and I was quite impressed with the overall quality and attention to detail. Bass Pro always offers a variety of quality merchandise, a family friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, but they truly went above and beyond at this event. read more

My daughter had purchased a crossbow almost a year ago. After firing 6 bolts, it cracked in one of the limbs. We took it back, easily exchanged it and walked out with a brand new one. Fast forward to this deer season. 12 bolts shot through the new bow, 4 deer down and another cracked limb and it's only November. Lotta hunting left to do. Took the second bow back down to them. Obviously they didn't have the same make or model as she currently owns, but those guys did her a solid. They took the old bow back and gave her an upgrade, brand new in the box. Mitch (who works in the gun department) and his boss whom I can't remember his name unfortunately are stand up guys as well as Bass Pro Shops in general. I just wrote a lengthy review that didn't get saved somehow so I'll summarize: Bowling alley: great for parties, has food and bar for adults and awesome decor with fish hanging from the ceiling for kids! Interior: Amazing artistry in the murals and displays that make shopping here relaxing and worth your time spent Toys: Educational and they inspire kids to use the scientific method: to investigate the world around them! There were also some very interesting board games that teach good life skills that are wilderness/nature related. Clothing: I looked at the women's section and found high quality clothing of any type you could need. And great designs too! Some for usefulness and others for cuteness, but overall form follows function for all of their products Staff: Incredibly friendly. I couldn't believe how friendly! Fishbowl: check out the fish tank if you are feeling like having a drink. A great way to converse with friends and family and to pass some relaxing time. Gifts/Household: I saw cool bird feeders that included information on packaging that taught me things just while perusing the store. Also, high quality dishware for home and camping. Finally, I really like that every tag I looked at said "Made in USA", it's good to fund employment in our country and to take strain off of the constantly lowering wages that occur in outsourced corporations (multinationals) Overall, great ethics, great staff, great products, and a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. I love going here to look around the store with family and purchase lures but, the restuarant is another story. Food is of decent quality and fairly filling. However the service is awful. We had to wait around two hours to get seated. Then after that we had to wait 40 minutes for our food to come out. I was surprised that it took so long to get seated when there was around 7 people in the restuarant. I give it a 2 star rating. Not on the store itself but the restaurant. I ask to reserve some seats. They said we don't do that here. Ok that's fine. I told her I need 15 seats. It was like fish out of water, or a deer in headlights. I was like, " how about in a hour we will be ready to eat?" Relief hit her eyes. Everything was good. Spent an hour at the gun counter today waiting for some service. Three employees behind the counter were working on paper work. I asked two of them specifically for help and one said she only reviews applications, and the other man said they would get to me. It was me and one other guy at the counter! Waited an hour and left disgusted. I won't be back to the gun counter. I also won't be back to apparel, boating, camping, tackle, shoes, or the restaurant. These are departments I used to shop at, but bad customer service in one area spoils the entire shopping experience. read more

The bowling alley was poorly taken care of. The pabes were not oiled and were sticky with dust and grime. The balls are worn and cracked. The only nice thing there is to say about the bowling alley in uncle bucks bar and grill is that the shoes were almost new and that's because it's such a shitty bowling alley and no one goes there. read more
