This location is not as large as the one in Las Vegas where I just moved from. That one has a 2nd floor and a 40,000 gallon fresh water aquarium and it's 165,000 square feet. This one still has pretty much everything you need for camping , hunting , and fishing. They even have Boats , ATVs , and Side by Sides. The store is clean and well organized and the staff were friendly. I bought 2 Redhead camouflage shirts that were on sale for $12.99. Of course they had lots of camouflage coats , pants , hats , and gear to choose from. They sell pistols , rifles , shotguns , archery equipment , fishing rods and reels to include fly fishing gear. If you need a new grill or smoker they have them too. Bbq sauces , rubs , cast iron skillets , cooking utensils , you know the drill. They also have old fashioned candies and moon pies for the kids. T-shirts for the whole family , decorations , paintings , boots , shoes , everything. So get away from the crowds and check out the store one day. read more

This store doesn't keep their website up to date, I was looking for a specific bass lure and it said their was 215 in stock at my store and I looked at every single one and and they all said out of stock at Myrtle beach. You would think that a store that has the word "bass" in the name would keep more bass baits on hand, but I would say that probably 75percent of the bass lures I've tried to get are never in stock at this location. I don't order on line, last time I did it took them 3 weeks to ship it to the store. UNBELIEVABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE. I haven't seen a business this poorly ran in a long time. It's like they don't care about the customer. Well they just lost one more, I'll stick to ordering from fish USA or tackle warehouse, at least when they say it's in stock it is and I usually have it in my hands within 3 business days. I could have spent an entire day wandering around there looking at all the unique stuff that I want to buy to make me feel at least like I am the next Bill Dance. When we entered the location is was surprisingly very slow. The employees were very nice and helpful. The reason for the four stars was because they did not have merchandise that said bass pro merchandise. Something they did have which I thought was GENIUS was they put hand sanitizer dispensers in the bathroom stalls so you could use the hand sanitizer and toilet paper to wipe off the seat since they don't offer seat covers. excellent idea. This store is amazing. They have a massive selection of items for all things outdoors. You can buy a boat and a trailer here, a quad, a fishing lure, or just some fishing sunglasses. And speaking of sunglasses, I didn't see a pair for less than $110. The prices were high, but the selection was excellent. I'd consider buying some clothing items here, but we don't have one of these stores near my home. The quality of the clothes is excellent, but the prices are high. I like the variety of durable materials in the clothing. They have an aquarium with some very large fish swimming around. It's nice to look at, but basically just adds to the cost of each item you buy. You can feed the fish in the outdoor pond on your way out. read more

I was there to buy a good jack knife. I found them and waited around for help , the people behind the counter just looked at me while texting or whatever. I went to the counter and asked him if the knife counter was self self-serve, he told me the cheap knives were in the isle he pointed to. I said I want one of the "OLD TIMER" knives. Would not let me hands on an "OVER-UNDER rifle, just said "Those things are $600.00 bucks, all day". Remembered coming here as a kid, I have a picture of myself in front of the fish tank.. so naturally on my visit to Myrtle Beach I felt the need to drop in and check out the fish and other great taxidermy. Within 2 mins of walking in to the store I was approached by a lady who made out like they had a free, no obligation, drawing that I could enter for a gift card. As I listened to her and waited for the catch, it became apparent to me that she was trying to sell me a vacation package. When I realized that and began trying to walk away she calls her "manager" over who then both proceed to try to convince me to give them my credit card. I work in sales, and my branch has had 100% customer service scores 3 months In a row (which has never been done before in my company period) but if I used those sort of predatory sales tactics I'd have a customer service score of 3. I tried to as nicely as possible Decline and walk away but they kept following me and wouldn't take no as an answer. I finally had to get rude and tell them I wasn't interested in their crap. Won't go back here, and I think the company should really consider not doing this to their customers. Furthermore everything In this store was stupid expensive. We left empty handed. read more

Heckuva place to visit, whether you are a fishing or hunting person or just want to see all the things in this massive facility. One of the draws is a large fish tank with some rather large fish. Feeding times are posted and there's a seating area to watch that happen. Lots of fishing and hunting goods, but also a lot of clothing for men, women and children. A big box sporting goods store is all. Pretty impressive if you've never been to one, it's fun to browse so much outdoorsy stuff in one spot and to get quality levels you don't see at the local department store sporting goods section. It's also a really good spot to grab things you might otherwise have to order online and wait for it. That said, you can beat the prices if you shop around. Sometimes by 30%. You'll not want to come expecting bargains even on sale. You pay a little more for hands on shopping of wide selection and being able to walk out with most of what you need. The only place you'll ever see more real rednecks in their natural habitat is at a NASCAR race. :-) Be sure to check out the big fish tank! read more

Wow Bass pro shop is a big store. I went there because they were having some kind of event and my sister dragged me along. Well, I'm like blown away by the size of this place, I mean they have a giant fish tank! and with this fish tank they have someone who will come out and feed the fish (things like eel and squid not the little flakes you get at the pet shop) and its really neat. If the kids are around they'll throw some food out to the crowd and you can help feed the fish. The event that they were having included food. A little buffet with sandwiches and chips, soda and gumbo. I think it was a members only spread though because they had a little area kind of roped off. But back to the bass pro shop...so what do you need for your sporting goods? Camping, yep, boating? yea...fishing? you better believe it, hunting? Nice store with lots of goodies. Well laid out. Obviously, I do have a couple issues. Otherwise, my review would have been five stars. I went to the store last week to buy a new pistol. I wanted a small, dual action semiautomatic. I finally decided on a small 9mm that unfortunately was single action. I was told this model was not available in dual action. I would have purchased the gun anyway, but could not due to a typographical error on my driver's license. I corrected my license and bought that identical pistol elsewhere as a dual action. That leads me to question the employee's knowledge. Hopefully, he really did not know about the dual action model and was not just lying to make a sale. And, if I remember correctly, I paid $50 less, plus it came with numerous accessories. Also, it is impossible to navigate the store without being assaulted by people selling vacation packages, who do not know the meaning of, "No". I suspect they are selling timeshare. If that is true, I suspect the morality and honesty of the Bass Pro. Before I posted this review, I read most of the previously posted ones. Obviously, no one in management either read any of the reviews or cares. Most of the negative comments centered around the vacation packages. Also, complaints about gun personnel were high on the list. It would not be too difficult to raise the stores reviews. Just address these two areas. After giving my review addition thought, I am lowering it one star. The issues I have with the store have all been mentioned before but management has done nothing to correct these problems. So, since they do not care to make improvements, I do not care to give them an acceptable rating. read more

I do not hunt or fish so maybe this review doesn't hold as much water as some of the others but we were very disappointed with this particular Bass Pro Shop. I grew up going to Bass Pro Shops looking at the animals that were stuffed and the little creeks or waterfalls and throwing pennies in. Looking at all the fish and just being amazed at all the nature. This Bass Pro shop was more like a Cabela's. Pure shopping, no fun. I took the kids because it was something I used to do and wanted to carry on the tradition. There was one sad fish tank in the back of the store and that was it. So we looked around for a bit and found a couple things we were going to buy, except the line to checkout was so long we would have been waiting 20 minutes to get our stuff. I get a notice an Item was on sale.After I placed a $200 order, and after I was sent emails with a few day delivery the delivery date was changed. Then changed again. My order went from 3 - 5 days to now four weeks. I tried with our success to cancel the order. Bottom line is that promise products they don't have while using your money. My husband was shopping at this location with my father this week when he was approached by a woman who initially appeared to be a Bass Pro Shop employee (she wore the same color scheme as actual employees). After speaking with her for a few moments he realized she was actually a sales agent from Blue Green Vacations. He attempted to politely excuse himself several times in order to continue shopping, but she threw one pressured sales tactic one after another. We have been fans of Bass Pro Shop for a long time and are always excited to visit this location; however, we will be VERY hesitant to return due to this experience. It's a deceptive sales tactic that ruined a fun shopping trip. It's silly to think that Bass Pro would allow this shady and dishonest vacation time share in their stores to take up a LOT of time away from their customers shopping. read more

Just walked out of the store. I wanted to purchase and try out the Walker silencer ear buds. Got to the register to pay, just to find that the price advertising sale at $134 would not be honored. The the extended warranty for 2 years of $29 would not be honored as well. Wanted me to pay $199 for the ear buds and $79 for the extended warranty. The lady that came over to make the connection so I could make my purchase..... Was extremely rude and unprofessional. Needless to say I walked out without my purchase. I typically spend thousands of dollars a year with Bass pro shop, but that stops now. As of this moment I no intention of ever buying anything with you again. That is unless you just happened to have that one unique item that I can't buy anywhere else and I cannot live without it. The absolute worst experience ever in a retail store. Don't go here if you're worried about catching Coronavirus! Not sure what their corporate policies are - but at this location they are NOT sanitizing the shopping carts. There are NO disinfecting wipes so you can do it yourself. Our cashier technically had on a mask - but it was pulled down to uncover both her nose and her mouth So absolutely no surprise that the cases of a Covid are increasing in SC. There was 1 lone bottle of disinfectant setting by the front door. The ladies room had no hand towels to dry your hands and no air dryers. Enter at your own risk!!! read more

I love coming to this store. They have a great woman's clothing selection. I like their Natural Reflections brand. You can find some great deals at the end of summer and end of winter.
