This review comes a little late, as I visited this establishment on 10/4/2024. My friend and I came to get the mozzarella tasting platter to go, but I would have loved to come back to dine in. The interior was beautifully decorated and elegant. The vibes felt relaxed. I agree with other reviewers that the service was very slow, which is why I removed a star. When we told the host that we just wanted to order take-out, he asked us to sit at the bar "because you might want to order a drink while you're waiting." We were handed the menu almost immediately, but it took about 10-15 minutes before our order was taken and another 15-20 minutes before we received our takeout order. The bartender and other server did seem busy. We just weren't expecting to wait for what seemed like the duration of a sit-down meal, so I would advise to plan accordingly if intending to order takeout. The assortment of mozzarella balls were awesome! Very fresh. There were some types that my friend and I preferred over the others, but overall it was fun to try a variety of them and taste the differences between them. The bread that came with the mozzarella balls was meh; we ended up not eating it. The honeycomb and sesame breadsticks were also good. I just wish the portion of honeycomb was a little larger, but maybe honeycomb is just that pricey.

There's valet parking available as well as street parking (for a fee). Make a reservation if possible, super easy through resy. Highly recommend coming for happy hour (4-6pm) if you can since they have some good pastas on the menu as well as some cocktails. Food/drinks: - Cacio e pepe ($14, happy hour price): black pepper, pecorino. They didn't serve It with pasta noodles (which they told us in advance) but with a different pasta instead. It was a solid pasta dish. - Carbonara ($14, happy hour price): guanciale, egg yolk, pecorino and crunchy bits of pork/lechon. This was a FAVORITE! Ended up getting two of these. It's savory with the right amount of umami. The pasta was served not as a noodle like the cacio e pepe but it didn't take away from the amazing sauce. Definitely try this! - Tagliere piccolo: fatt'a mano, prosciutto, sliced focaccia. This was essentially a small happy hour sized plate of their house made mozzarella, bread and prosciutto. It's just to taste, this will be enough for 4 people but if you really want more than one bite would probably do 1 plate per 2 people. Not sure what we were expecting from the mozzarella, but it just tasted normal. I understand that it's house made and it comes out warm and is hand pulled but it was just a standard platter. - Tuscan fried chicken ($30): anson mills polenta, cippolini onions, hot honey. The chicken was fried super well and was so crispy! The hot honey added a nice flavor to the chicken, I think next time will ask for it on the side. The polenta was creamy! We did order some cocktails. Not sure if this is standard at their business but our waiter was making our drinks so it took quite some time for us to get them since he was busy attending to other tables and getting our food. Overall, I think it's worth visiting especially for the happy hour where you can likely try 2 pasta dishes for a great price. The menu isn't overwhelming which is nice. Highly recommend the carbonara pasta and the Tuscan fried chicken dish!

Fatto Amano - great texture with a hint of salt. I'd skip the honeycomb- not needed to enhance flavor

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day night at Bastone! All of the employees, from the hostesses to the waitstaff, were friendly, polite, and on point. The ambiance was great and fun; the bathroom was clean. The food was fantastic. You cannot go to Bastone and not try their mozzarella tasting -- my favorite was Fatt Amano. Also the ciabatta was MAGICAL!

Had a very nice meal at Bastone this evening. The food is thoughtfully prepared and the ambiance allows for nice conversation. The tables are not on top of each other. Our table spilt the mozzarella tasting and the polenta with mushrooms to start. We also ordered a focaccia. All three were sublime. The mushroom polenta has a perfectly runny egg that makes it heavenly. Our second courses, while tasty, weren't as amazing as the first course. The chicken schnitzel was a tad over fried and the green salad, while made with wonderful things like pistachios, radishes, and delicious butter lettuce, was overpowered by the amount of red onion on the plate. Further, the salad isn't cheap at $16. The service at Bastone was fine, nothing special. At nearly $65/person, with only one alcoholic beverage being ordered for the table, I'd expect that that food would be introduced to us as it was served and the preparation explained - this was not done consistently. Is Bastone worth a visit? Yes. 100%. Am I glad I went? Yes. Am I coming back the next time I'm in town? Probably not.

Came back again years later to see that there's no more $10 pasta :( and that price has increased to $14 BUT I'm ok with it because I feel like portion size and quality has increased as well. They also no longer serve the Hugo spritz I loved which is a bit disappointing but they still have a decent drink menu. My suspicion is that the menu changed seasonally. I ordered the arrabiata based on our waiters recommendations and SO MUCH BETTER than the cacio e Pepe. The cacio e pepe is a staple yes, but it's a little simple and the flavors on the arrabiata are just so much better. I

This is about my fifth time dining here and unfortunately I have to give it two stars after my last review. Our server was friendly but I have to be honest and say it was very slow. The restaurant was not busy at all (only three tables the entire time We were there) and we had to wait and flag our server down multiple times for attention. The food- I have to say I was very disappointed this time round. There was nothing that I thought was delicious at dinner. The gnocchi was so soft and mushy and the sauce had a weird aftertaste unfortunately. The paglia e fieno had two different type of noodles which I thought was cool but again, mushy and soft. The noodles were not al dente AT ALL. The mafalde was a little better, but nothing special. The rib eye which was $55 was not medium like how we asked and the sauce was terrible, absolutely did not go well with the steak. It was tart and sour tasting. Maybe just not for me but none of my friends enjoyed it tbh. The branzino did not taste fresh and was not soft and buttery like how branzino usually tastes like. The focaccia was dry and disappointing lol. Drinks took a while to come out, finished the bread and still didn't receive our drinks. The only one we really enjoyed was let that mango. I will say though our server was pretty friendly and asked if we wanted our meals to be recooked but after waiting quite a while for our food (and we had to leave by 9 for other plans) we just did not want to wait for new dishes to be remade. But to me, especially at this price, I only care about the first impressions of the food and don't believe in sending food back. Overall, I might skip this spot until they have new menu items because none of the dishes did it for me yesterday. The ambiance and presentation of the dishes and restaurant are great but I want to enjoy food when I'm out. Also the parking has to be valet which I don't prefer because there was no one there when I arrived and then I also had to walk back to get my own car (after paying and tipping lol). Convenient if they were fast.

Surround yourself with calm and fresh by dining at Bastone. Charcuterie boards from a "taster" on the Happy Hour menu to larger ones that are more than plenty to share - your server will provide thoughtful guidance to this flavorful delight. On point choices for salads and pasta entrees - plenty to share. Lovely spot to celebrate your birthday as they make you feel pretty special

My husband and I came here for a date night. We loved the charcuterie platter. We were introduced to "Di bufala" Buffalo mozzarella cheese for the first time. We loved it. We had tasty pasta dishes. My husband cleaned his plate!

Happy hour with half of wine, charcuterie board, and pasta.... Sign me up! Our large group of nine came here for the happy hour, which is daily 4 to 6 PM (including weekends!). The Happy hour menu is pretty extensive, including some delicious appetizers, pastas, cheese,Salumi, wines & cocktails. Given the size of our group, we ordered pretty much everything on the happy hour menu x2. My favorite appetizer by far was the mushroom aricini. The meatballs are pretty good. The potatoes were under seasoned. The cheeseboard, and Salumi was simply fantastic! I have the rose wine which I loved The staff is attentive, and the pace service spot on! They do offer valet as well. Overall: would definitely recommend coming here for happy hour!

We went back to Bastone for dinner with friends and it was another great experience! The mozzarella boards are just so fun and unique. Love this place for a fun date night!

Wanted to go somewhere local for last minute dinner plans with the family. We were able to make reservations same day. Valet parking is available right in front of the restaurant. Host was very friendly and helpful. They provided a high chair for us as requested on our opentable reservation. Waitress Margo was pleasant and helped us choose our meal. We didn't have any of the mozzarella and salami this time. For appetizer we got the halibut tart and tiger prawns. We enjoyed the sweet and savory flavors of the halibut. It's a cold appetizer and reminds me of chicken salad. The tiger prawns looked amazing with all the garnishes, but we weren't able to eat it. The prawns tasted VERY fishy. We eat prawns often and haven't had this experience with them. The manager was great and allowed us to try the meatballs in place of the prawns. They were SO GOOD and seasoned very well. For dinner I ordered the agnolotti - a short rib pasta dish. It was pretty good but came out room temperature. Husband ordered the gnocchi - I wasn't a fan of it because the pasta wasn't firm - it was a bit soggy for my liking. His pasta was also room temp, but he said he really enjoyed it. Overall we were satisfied and left full. It's not my favorite Italian option but it's a good local option.

I ate here for dinner on a Friday night in November with one of my friends. We came with a reservation. The restaurant is located at the corner of Marietta St Artery, but parking is available at the lot across the street. I decided to go with valet ($5/6). I got a very good espresso martini. We ordered 3 appetizers to share. The meatballs were the best - I was disappointed in the brussels sprouts. I got the mafalde and it was neither good nor bad, felt quite heavy and too much going on in one pasta. I thought the guestbook during the bill process was so lovely, and even added my own note! I've seen content creators post about their cheese wheel and happy hour pastas, which look better, so I'll have to come back and try again a different day.

We were quickly greeted and sat in a room that was a little more tucked away, something I appreciate since it was a special occasion. We started with a bottle of Sancerre that was at a VERY approachable price point. I believe theirs was around $52. It was up there in term of quality with many $150+ bottles I've had. The charcuterie board was great, everything was fresh and flavorful. The fettuccine we did for dinner tastes like they just made the noodles before it hit the table, perfect texture. The star of the show was the lobster ravioli. Plenty of flavor, rich but not too heavy and a great portion. The service is something I wanted to highlight. Our server Isabella was great. I just wish she had some type of support. She was taking tables on the patio and inside. We noticed this upon entry so I got the entire order ready to make the flow of service easier for her. With her taking multiple tables in various spots throughout the restaurant, it would've been beneficial for management to step in and run her bottle of wine for her. Or have server assistants more present to clear the table for her. Again, I don't fault her. She truly did great with the insane amount of work she had going on, but that style of service isn't sustainable. It's unfair to staff and guests. I hope to either see more maintainable sections or more help on the floor for my next visit.

You can barely taste the garlic & it's more creamy than cheesy. Not much flavor & I wish I tried a different sauce instead. My friend got the Pizzocheri Coi Rapini ($19) which also tasted like nothing. The sauce was very liquidy, so the noodles weren't able to get much flavor. She asked for a garlic sauce on the side to make it taste like something. This mixed together was good. They also added the tip (20%) automatically. We were a group of 5 people, so maybe they do that for larger parties. The service was pretty standard. The bill was a total of $127.71. I probably wouldn't visit again.

The coffee, food and treats are just as nice as the vibe in this environment. We came on a Sunday around 1:30pm. It was quite full in there but not packed to the max. Waiting in line was quick or nonexistent upon arrival. We found an empty couch as soon we ordered. You can sit and they'll call your name to grab your coffee at the counter and give you a number for your food order to be delivered to your table. I got the pumpkin spice cappuccino with a breakfast burrito. Please be advised that the cappuccinos are quite small compared to the lattes and cost about the same at $6.75 plus an additional cost for added flavors. It was good, just smaller than expected. And they have a wide array of flavor shots. The breakfast burrito was about $17.99 plus $2 additional charge because I opted for turkey bacon for my protein instead of the chorizo or regular bacon that it comes with. The burrito also comes with a delicious salad on the side as garnish and a creamy avocado sauce. It was all good but tasted even better when I asked for hot sauce to top it off. They have mini bottles of Tabasco upon request. It was satisfying but you can get a much more filling and stuffed burrito elsewhere for the same or less. But they were generous with the ratio of eggs inside compared to the other ingredients. I'd go again on pay day or when I'm feeling rich but the grand total at the register might give you a bit of sticker shock. And it appears as though they might validate parking for the connected garage.

This quarter's featured country is Singapore, so I was especially excited for the opportunity to try Singaporean inspired cuisine. One of the best surprises of the evening was that our group was seated in a private dining room for the birthday celebration. It made the evening feel even more intimate and special for my friend. Jordan truly made this experience exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and cocktail menus and explained every item in such an approachable and thoughtful way. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and takes pride in the experience he creates for guests. Because of his recommendation and description, I ended up trying an entrée I probably would have overlooked otherwise. I ordered the Queensland chicken from the Singapore menu and it was outstanding. The chicken was extremely tender and the sauce had the rich, slightly sweet flavor profile Jordan described, almost reminiscent of a bourbon style glaze. It was comforting, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I also decided to explore the mocktail menu and tried both the Elliot Carver and the Paris Carver Kiss. Both were refreshing, balanced, and crafted just as thoughtfully as a full cocktail. From the service to the atmosphere to the food itself, this was truly a 10 out of 10 experience. I can absolutely see myself returning again soon.

My friends and I all love Singaporean food, which made the experience even more disappointing. The biggest letdown was the Hokkien Mee. If you've had this dish before, you know it typically has a rich, savory, curry-forward flavor. This version tasted more like a basic stir-fry noodle dish with a faint hint of chicken broth. It wasn't badly cooked, but it lacked the depth and flavor that makes Hokkien Mee special. I ordered the Tau Yew Bak (crispy pork belly), which was good, but nowhere near the most memorable pork belly I've had. The accompanying slaw/salad was completely forgettable and lacked flavor. My friend's Sambal Snapper suffered from the same issue. It wasn't offensive, just underseasoned and missing the bold flavors you'd expect from a dish built around sambal. We also ordered the Korean BBQ Duck Confit appetizer, which honestly tasted more like pulled barbecue chicken than duck. It wasn't bad, just not particularly exciting or memorable. I also tried the mashed potato croquettes, which were fine. That's really the best word for most of the food here: fine. Nothing was actively bad, but very little stood out. To be fair, there were some highlights. The hostess was warm and welcoming, and our server was good. The 006 Old Fashioned (their non-alcoholic Old Fashioned) was hands-down the best mocktail I've ever had, and I've had plenty all over the country. Seriously, it was outstanding and worth ordering on its own. The restaurant itself is also absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, great service, a gorgeous space, and an incredible mocktail couldn't make up for food that felt consistently underwhelming. 3 stars.

I walked here, so I can't speak on the parking situation, but it didn't look too busy outside (around 7 PM). Vibes inside were pretty nice and casual. FOOD: The Wednesday special is a great deal, where a dozen raw oysters are $15 and a half dozen char-grilled oysters are $10. Raw Oysters (4.5/5) - I have to preface by saying that I am not usually a fan of raw oysters; however, I thoroughly enjoyed the ones here. They were mild in flavor and tasted fresh. There are plenty of hot sauces available at the table to dress up your oysters. The platter of oysters also comes with horseradish and cocktail sauce. I must say I really enjoyed the oyster and horseradish combo. Char-Grilled Oysters (4/5) - Grilled with a garlic parmesan coating. It was nice, but I actually preferred the raw oysters! Not overcooked. Lobster Bisque (3.25/5) - Creamy and pleasant, but I don't think I could eat a lot of it. I'm glad I only got a cup of it to share. Claimed to be "Atlanta's BEST for 25 years," so I had to try. First experience eating a lobster bisque, but the chunks tasted more like imitation crab? Probably would skip if I returned here. SERVICE: Service was pleasant, but not super fast. Getting your order taken took a hot minute, but once that was out of the way, you got your food pretty fast. TLDR// I would come here every Wednesday if I lived in Atlanta because the oyster specials are such great deals. Can't speak on any other menu item, but you can't beat the price on Wednesdays.

So my wife and I had a weekday off and decided to find somewhere to go to lunch. We stumbled across…read moreBrasserie Margot and it was a good time. Let's get into it! Location and Parking Brasserie Margot is located inside The Four Seasons Hotel, which we didn't know when we first decided to go and found it to be a very nice surprise. Parking is valet only, but it is discounted if you are going to the restaurant. Venue and Atmosphere When you walk into the lobby you are greeted by an amazing staircase with beautifully placed flowers. Brasserie Margot is located up those stairs and to the left, or if you choose to take the elevator it will be to the right. As you walk in you immediately get French bistro from the bar and the booth seating. Food and drinks So for drinks I got the Louvre Sour. This hands down was the prettiest drink I have ever had, so much so that I did a Google Image search to find the glasses they served it in because I was obsessed. Unfortunately the look of the drink was where my obsession ended because aside from that the drink itself was all show and no substance. As a bourbon lover I'm always excited to try bourbon cocktails but this combination just did not work that well. I saw it through, but next time I'll probably just ask for an old fashioned. Now the food not disappoint. We started with the oysters, the champagne mignonette was amazing. My wife was sold the instant she saw a croquet-madame on the menu. It was my first time having a croquet-madame, and it was new and delightful. We also shared the salads de chèvre chaud, which was also really good. Service Service was good, it didn't take long for any of our food to come out and our server was very attentive. Verdict Aside from that one hiccup, Brasserie Margot was a delightful experience. If you would like a nice brunch or lunch nestled in the heart of the city then I would suggest paying them a visit. Until next time!

Boozie Smoothies was a convenient 5 minute walk from my hotel, and I dropped by right when the restaurant opened. It was a cute spot and the employee who greeted me was so kind and had the cheeriest attitude. I customized a breakfast sandwich on a digital kiosk. I got a fried egg, arugula, turkey bacon, and smoked gouda on an everything bagel. Appreciated that I could the egg down to how hard or runny I wanted the yolk to be cooked. The food took a while to be made. Took about 10 minutes despite being the only guest at the restaurant during the time. That said, I could appreciate that it was being carefully prepped. The sandwich was solid, but it could have benefited from a house sauce to give it a kick of flavor. I chose the side of rosemary potatoes with my sandwich, which were OK. The potatoes were mushy so maybe they boiled them instead of pan fried. It was just a texture I wasn't expecting nor really cared for at the time. I would opt for the sweet potatoes for next time.
