I relocated to Federal Way from Yakima earlier this year and I was a bit concerned about finding a chiropractor whom I would have confidence in to adjust the areas of my body that need to be realigned. Dr. Bastron has given me my quality of life back! I was in a car accident in January and started seeing Dr. Bastron after a few months of PT wasn't helping my back and neck pain. My first visit was extremely detailed which I appreciated. He made sure to fully understand what I've been through (even when it came to the legal dispute I'm in). He truly cares about every aspect of your situation, not just the pain. After my first visit I was pretty sore (which he warned me about). I've seen Dr. Bastron once and already feel so cared for and my pain has decreased significantly! Dr. Bastron is extremely thorough and explains everything he is about to do before he does it. He seemed very concerned about my situation even when it was out of the medical scope and more-so the legal things going on from my accident. I feel like he is there to support me when I need him and that's a great feeling after spending 40 minutes with a new person! I was very sore after my first adjustment (1st time seeing a chiropractor) and was advised to gently stretch and ice... I highly recommend taking this advice as 2 days after my adjustment I feel AMAZING. So much pressure in my back has disappeared and I already feel better! I will of course follow-up, but I am just amazed. There was a constant sting in my back since my accident (1/4/19) and it always seemed like there was built-up pressure in my tail bone that could never be released from massage or PT. I have been coming to Bastron Chiropractic for about a year and a half after a car accident and later a bad pinched nerve in my upper back. The first day I came in, I couldn't even move my head from side to side. Dr. Bastron was really attentive and genuinely concerned about my well being. Not only did I leave with about 50% less pain than when I came in, he also fully examined by neck and back and recognized other problem areas that I had been living with due to my car accident. I don't know if I will ever be 100% back to how my back used to be before my accident, I still get sporadic pains and twinges, but my regular visits here have largely contributed to my almost full recovery. I see him for check ups and an adjustment about once every month or two. I also started regular appointments with Debbie, the massage therapist. I now see her about once or twice a month , and she has greatly helped with my little pains and spasms I still get periodically. I don't even live in federal way anymore, but its worth the 20-25 minute drive for me a couple times a month! Highly recommend them! read more

He has treated my back problems several times already, and each time I walked away feeling much better. I have seen Dr. Bastron for about a year now ~ 10 different times. He is very attentive and relieved a lot of pain however they always seem under staffed and are rarely available to answer the phone. In fact, I've been on both receiving ends of this. I don't have any crazy traumas or pain and I should be seeing a chiropractor once a month as needed, whenever I'm having a flare up. It's important to me that my chiropractors office is able to be flexible enough to get me in the same day. I usually will call upon opening, 9am, between 9-10am when I need to come in. I rarely get through the line, even with leaving a message. I've also been on the receiving end, in the middle of an appointment in Dr. Bastron's office and he will have to leave to answer the phone because the line kept ringing. I can completely understand if the receptionist was out sick etc but I've run into this on more than 3 occasions. I'm sad to say that because of my inability to get through to someone and schedule an appt, I will be switching chiropractors. read more

I had back surgery in May of 2012 and was released to go back to work in August, 2012. Since that time, my back and accompanying pain(s) have increasingly gotten worse and worse. I had to get a cane. I had to get a handicapped sticker so I didn't have to park in the "south forty." I have gotten to the point of not being able to walk more than 50-75 feet without pain developing in my lower back and horrific pain in my groin area. I would have to sit for 5-10 minutes. When I got up the pain(s) may or may not continue. They was sporadic at the worst and totally unpredictable at best. During all this I had developed the body aches and pains one gets when one has the flu. However, I didn't have the flu. To make this a little shorter, I was relegated to visiting a pain management doctor who put me on a quasi-narcotic to manage the body aches and I've been on it ever since. But I had nothing that would handle the groin pains nor the back pains. My life consisted pretty much of sleeping in my recliner, sitting in my recliner during the day (most of the day) and sometimes not seeing the outside world for 3 or 4 days at a time. Then, my wife suggested I go to a chiropractor. I didn't want to go to a bone cracker/crusher. That's NOT what I needed. Finally, I relented and was given a list of 3 or 4 chiropractors that were approved by our insurance company. I chose Dr. Mike Bastron because his office was closest to our home and I didn't want to waste gas going to a doctor I knew I didn't need to go to. WELL, was I ever wrong! Dr. Mike Bastron is EXACTLY what I needed. After the first visit, I began to feel better and was able to walk a little. I had my 5th traction and adjustment today and I will say, I haven't felt this good in almost 16 months. I can now walk upwards of 30 minutes, without the need of a cane and without the groin pains. I still sleep most of the time in the recliner but I'm experimenting in sleeping in bed and I can make it about 3-5 hours. As far as I'm concerned, my progress is phenomenal and is getting better with each adjustment. And I will keep going to him as long as possible to make sure my back and body stay in alignment. Plus, Dr. Mike's "bedside manor" is one of true concern for the comfort and success of each patient and his love for chiropractic has been evident every time I go.
