We were taken back by the repetitive question, given that this was communicated in advance before our booking. I could feel that the woman who massaged me was reluctant, that was the second red flag. She wasn't gentle with placing my arms and lots of loud sighs, in addition a loud ring tone. There was another employee who had a loud ring tone on his phone. I would have rather them reschedule us if I would have known this was going to happen. Be mindful of who you allow to massage you, our skin is the largest organ in our body and energy can transfer. I do recommend calling and making an appointment just because of how busy it can get. I always book with Jenny, she is amazing! Unlike some foot reflexology places, they incorporate a good amount of work on your head, neck, arms, and back. Some reviews on here mentioned how loud or disruptive staff can be (phones on, burping lol) and they're not wrong. But that's just kind of how these places are, they're not your typical spa experience and you get what you pay for. In my opinion they're well worth the price.

I slept on my shoulder wrong and it caused complete inability to utilize my right arm due to…read moreshoulder pain. My ROM was minimal. While my passive ROM was moderate at best, my active was incapable of lifting. I suffered for a day and night, which I was up to experience most of it due to the pain. The next morning, I came to Panda Massage before they even arrived and waited in the parking lot. They were about 15 mins past the posted open time so I almost left but am so glad I waited. I called and due to a language barrier, an appointment was not secured. They arrived and the lady called me back. I went in and they greeted me immediately. I explained my pain and the manager assigned my therapist. My therapist was attentive, asked questions, conducted gait tests and immediately assessed with trigger point therapy. It was incredibly knowledgeable and effective. I was told to give it a couple hours and use my arm then come back in a couple days. Exactly that is what happened. My arm felt so much better. It would be a five star rating but when I went back I requested the same therapist, which I got. The therapist recommended oil massage vs combo. I complied because at this point, I am confident in their ability and expertise. I didn't feel the second treatment was good. Not even mediocre. To be fair, we went in the evening vs first thing in the morning, so the energy levels are completely contrasted. Either way, the first session was so amazing, I will be going back to reevaluate. Still definitely recommended.

This review is specifically about my experience as a trans femme here. I was unsure about coming…read morehere initially, after reading about places like Olympus Spa denying entrance to transgender women. I dress and present feminine, but am visibly AMAB. When I came in with my friend, who is a cis woman, they gave us both the pink sets of clothes and directed us to the womens side without asking or saying a word. Nobody bothered me while i was in the womens locker room and soaking pools, and everyone i encountered was friendly or neutral. The sauna and soaking tubs were wonderful, and overall, this was a great experience.

Visited on a Monday morning with my mom, just for a day pass (no treatments like body scrub or…read moremassage). We didn't know what to expect because of all the recent mixed reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by our experience. My key takeaway is: This is a decent spa, as long as you don't look too closely! We started in the jjimjilbang and tried out the clay, salt and ice rooms. We had the place to ourselves! The rest area outside of the rooms is a bit dilapidated (reclining beds that didn't seem to function anymore - can't change the position to sitting up or lying down, and we couldn't figure out how to turn out the overhead lighting so we could read), but fine. Then we moved to the private salt room that's only available via the women's locker (smaller room, but seems more recently renovated and a bit cleaner). We followed this up with the women's only steam sauna (very spacious), dry sauna (three levels!) and the hot tub. The "cool" pool was essential for cooling down in between the sauna and the hot tub. The "warm" pool seemed a bit too hot - and not all that different in temperature from the "hot" pool. The spa was very peaceful, and we only crossed paths with a handful of other patrons during our 3.5 hours there. The shower facilities are decent, and the provided shampoo, conditioner and bar soap is fine! Generally, if you look closely, you can see ways the facilities are in need of improvement (peeling paint on the ceiling, rusting fixtures, missing bricks) but our experience overall was decent. It's $45 to enter for the day, but if you buy passes for 10 sessions, the cost reduces to $35 ($350 for 10 passes). My mom noted that the experience helped with her joint pain, so there are certainly therapeutic benefits! Overall, not the best Korean spa I've ever been to, but good enough for me to come back when I'm in town. Also: The woman who works at the front desk is super friendly!
